… in an area where the average monthly rent is what … $2.5k? $3.5k? I’ve lived in places where $1.4k a month would get you a mansion … Round Rock isn’t one of them.
@@heyitsjeffagain ??? Have you lived there any time recently? The average rents are nowhere near that high and these tiny homes are only competing with 1/2 bedroom apartments and homes. There are high rise apartments in downtown Austin that don't even cost that much?...
@@indieramus - The differences between renting an apartment and renting a stand-alone dwelling are enormous. Some people might see the benefits as wrorth it. It appears from your comments that these differences are not meaningful to you. What do YOU think the owner should be charging for these homes?
They need more yard! A tiny house should amplify green space so heat pools aren't created. I do like the affordability, but bigger space between the homes or it feels like an apartment.
NO. Low density=more land being taken up, which means less room for overall housing. Building more homes as dense as possible will reduce the land used up for housing and increase the supply, bringing down prices. You're right about the importance of green space, but it should be in the form of a communal park or something
Illegal? Having choice and options should be illegal? What would justify making this illegal? And if an apartment cost the same a month why would this be illegal and it an apartment? At least this one has some yard space.
@@diegolara4202 It's a race to the bottom with housing developments. No land, no house, no garage, no driveway. Stupidly overpriced. Austin just shot itself in the foot when they allowed the subdivision of single family lots.
Love this California needs this!
Wanted to do something so people didn't have to worry about rent to survive. Charges 1.4k a month min. What a clown.

Soooo, no one can own those? Then is just a joke :/
People still need them?
Not cheap not tiny
Terrible. Needs to be illegal. This is part of why the economy is garbage. Just go live in a apartment.
