- this was the first instrumental music and the first bass solo that i learned when i started playing bass. i've been a big fan of Marcus Miller but i didn't know that it was him who played on this one. no wonder i liked this song!
Modified Sadowsky MS5 through Zoom R8 and recorded with Audacity. no effects, just straight bass tone from my Sadowsky.

Dave Grusin and Marcus made me want to play the bass back when I was 19 yrs old , which I did and fall in love with Jazz music. This was one of the first bass solos I learnt and still play today (I'm now 57) .. I still have the original album Mountain Dance on vinyl , one of my prize possession's. Thanks for the upload and play on my brother

My favourite bass solo over many years. I didn't know it was Marcus Miller and I always assumed it was played on a fret-less as the notes are bent so much. Great cover job buddy, keep it up !
