What I love about Jose as a guest is not only is the list "optimized" (with stuff like Champions/Praetors having 2 specialist weapons for the extra attack and pick the better melee profile), but it is also painted and modeled beautifully!

This is what makes Heresy such a good game: two absolute gentlemen with clear respect for each other running genuinely interesting lists to showcase unusual units rather than anything "meta". Both armies are as beautiful as Jose's cheeky grin, and the board tells such a story - that ruined Knight is just *chef's kiss*. One of the reasons why I think you do the best HH battle reports is that you don't only bring so many legions (number still growing) but also so many different units to the table. The table is just mind blowing.

Love the video guys, just wanted to point out a couple things to help in the future. Immortals have 2 attacks base, sarge has 3, they were played at 1 attack for the game. Also Achilles is immune to armour bane, not that the fell blade did anything. The champion is WS6 not 5, so he should have hit on 3s. And finally, vehicles can’t shroud if they are immobilized. Still love the video as always. Beautiful armies and table, best reports on RUclips.

Very good Iron Hands army although the Death Guard was also of top quality in regards to the paint job.
Professional tip: Should the Death Guard fight again on a snow board then argue with your opponent before the match that they receive a cover save of 4+ ANYWHERE on the board because they are hard to spot due to their Legion colour. I am sure your opponent will comply as this only logical.
Statue in ruins: I am surprised no one noticed so far but I guess it takes another Iron Hands player to point out that the material used for the statue is a SACRILEGE! Rewrite the battle report and state that the Iron Hands were composed of traitor elements and that the Death Guard were friends of Garro.
Terrain:
Very impressive but mind-boggling expensive in regards to all the models used as casualties, wrecks or statues!

Just a nitpicky rules quibble: Immobilized vehicles can't make the Evade reaction (and Pardo said he wasn't going to Evade with the fleeing veterans, but no fleeing units can make reactions either).

I think the armourbane and ordinance combination on the Fellblade means you would roll 3 dice and keep the highest 2 for the result

Wow what a fun game! Absolutely had a blast watching it!
I think there were a few rules errors. First thing is an immobilized tank cannot shroud. So that spartan should have probably been dead by the end of the game.
Next when you emergency disembark from a non assault tank such as the rhino you cannot charge. In the end this one wouldn’t have made a huge difference.
And the last one is graviton guns leave difficult terrain blast templates when they shoot. Normally it really doesn’t make a difference but they do cause difficult terrain and dreadnoughts don’t have grenades so your death guard dreadnought should have been striking last in the Contemptor battle.

Hey buddy thanks for the points. Didn’t know about the tank not being able to get shroud nice! What page is this? Also do you mean you can’t Emergency disembark and then charge the next turn? As for the templates left behind it’s a house rule we have where we don’t leave the markers

The text of the evade reaction prevents any immobilized vehicle, unit with Move 0, or units unable to move this turn by any other means from taking the reaction.
Pg212 for the transport rule. You cannot charge in your own turn if your transport was destroyed in the opponents turn and it did not have assault vehicle.
Removing grav weapon templates is a bad call. It radically changes the interactions of units involved. Especially in this case as the dreadnought combat changes drastically.

These are probably the best looking Iron Hands I've ever seen. Most of the ones I see just look like less interesting Dark Angels but the rust highlights, that clever red paint job on all the lights, and that middle Gorgon head really gives these guys character.

What really sells it for me is the use of bronze as the trim colour: almost everyone else goes with silver to provide a bright contrast to the black but somehow what should be a dull metallic still pops against the stark white snow and that amazing pink glow. I would love to see him do Custodes, given anything he touches seems to turn to gold....

Hey Pardo i feel i should point out that your first Achilles that exploded shouldnt have as the metla only glanced it. To far away to get armourbane

2319 for the damage table roll
Hi, Patrick. The first Achiles has exploded because of the AP1 of the weapon. In the damage roll I had 5. So AP 1 add 2 to the damage table which is 7 so as a conclusion is an explosion.
@@Hermit_hobbyhi Abbadonslostarms, I believe the table damage is completely correct. When you got AP 1 you add + 2 to the result, which is this case is 7 meaning an explosion

I have a question.
At the start, Jose says that he brought a power maul on his Moritat to instant death veterans.
Presumably this is due to rad grenades dropping the enemy to T3, therefore allowing the S6 weapon to ID them.
However, the rulebook says of rad grenades: "Note: This does not affect instant death thresholds."
Has there been an FAQ or was this played wrong?

Could I please get the paint recipes he used for his iron hands immortals, gorgon, contemptors . All his space marine units. I loved his paint schemes. I'm going iron hands with 2 thanatar (plasma bombs) 2 castalax 2 tech marines and rest iron hands and I'm also using a glaive tank. If I feel the glaive under performs ill swap it with a Kratos. Or I may got 2 sabre strike tanks with conversion beams so I can strafe from across the battlefield and dreadnought drop pod carrying a leviathan with melta Lance and snippy claw and volkite nipples

Great armies, beautiful terrain, very scenic but as I complained in the past, the terrain has no real impact on the game.
That limits the tactical options and makes the game feel more like a Napoleonic era battle, imo.
Terrain plays a vital role in warfare. I served in the Infantry, maybe thats why I see it that way.
Yeah prob that’s why but you will almost always fight in areas with a lot of terrain or high risen building so it’s great to have a fresh different approach every so often.
@@SNBattleReports reminds me a lot of Warhammer the Old World. It is more about deployment then actual terrain usage.
