I was honestly getting sad and down-hearted by the many negative sentiments that people hold towards Houston, often those from other states. But this enlightens my spirit, since I am a native Houstonian and I am proud of my city.
We are expected to move to Houston for my husband`s job - he now reports to HQ in Houston - however, I am too scared of the crime rates and that people carry guns. Do you mind telling me what life is like there? Do you feel threatened all the time, worry about kids at school, or worry about saying something if there's something wrong done against you? We are planning to visit before making a decision, though it would be just for multiple days and don`t think it is enough time.

I was only 21 when I left. My Minnesota family migrated there in the 70s because it was Boom Town.
I’m stuck between Houston & Dallas right now from Long Island NY!!! But honestly you listed everything that Long Island has. I haven’t come across all my boxes regarding Dallas…. I do love the Rockets for sure over the Cowboys 😂
I was really skeptical about making the move after you mentioned the amber alerts, but watching this video just confirmed my move *the pros outweigh the cons* thank you 🙏🏾 Lol what were the names of those restaurants again? Beautiful family by the way 😍

New subscriber and you guys are doing an awesome job pointing out pros and cons in Houston... I am from Houston born and raised it makes me feel good to here so many positive feed backs from new residents. I have traveled outside Houston one time and that was to Chicago... To be honest I wanted to move to Chicago, but the weather stop me 😳😳😳... If I was cold natured I think I would have made that move... Next on my travel list is New York and California. To be honest guy's most Houstonians do not travel much... If you guys get a chance visit Lucille's restaurant it is black owned and they play jazz on Thursday. Also we have Top Golf and Andrette for the kids in Katy... Also visit the Razzoo's restaurant in the fountains... Also we have the Turkey Leg Hut restaurant which is black owned...
