The most apartments have boiler which during two weeks can have hot water.
Behavior of Russian police is becoming better year by year in comparison with before and now is one of the best in the world. In Yeltsin era was tribble.

In my church in the Netherlands we have a song that is sung by our men’s choir and it is one of my favorite songs. I recently found out that it’s actually a Russian song called Коль славен наш Господ в Сионе, it used to be the unofficial anthem of Russia for a long time and from 1856 until the october revolution the song was played daily on the clock tower of the Spasskaya tower on the red square. So seeing you there with the Spasskaya tower in the background just gave me goosebumps, such a special and beautiful place. Спасибо тебе большое за это видео Дарья 🙏🏻

Wow this city looks cool! I want to visit some day. It reminds me of new york its so big. I like the anecdotal stories in your videos like taking your shoes off, tick warnings, and about the hot water heater. Very cool videos and informational and entertaining at the same time. That was an awesome street performance u saw. They must have been shooting a music video

I had been waiting to hear from you that you had quit your job. I was thinking you were working too much because it had occurred to me that I had not seen a video from you posted in a while and I thought.... she must be working too much lately.
I love your videos of Moscow. Mainly because you are always so excited about even the smallest of things and you smile so much. Who says Russians never smile? well it's definitely different than when I lived at the US embassy in the later years of the USSR. I was younger but it seemed that no one smiled or were all that happy. I'd love to get back and see things now. You could show me your Moscow and I'd try to show you mine. But mine has faded. It has to be quite different now. American cars on the streets and signs in English would be very different for me.
Rest some. And I'm glad you are going to keep your smile.
Oh. I also lived in Japan for a while growing up, so I'm an American who is use to NEVER wearing shoes in the house.

Hi Dasha! As what most people said or you probably said that Russians don't show their smiling faces especially to strangers, but how come you always show your beautiful smiling face to all the strangers around the world. I think you have to break that custom in your culture of not showing those amazing smiles to everyone. You need to educate everyone in your country that smile means showing happiness & friendliness whether they are strangers to each others. Anyway, just keep on with that amazing smiles and soon they will noticed those amazing smiles while watching you doing your vlogs in public. Such amazing vlogs that you're sharing about life and the city of Moscow and other cities in Russia. Keep it up and stay safe always. Take care. See you in other vlogs.

Lovely video - peaceful background music in the park, a little humor, practical info, nice little stories, e.g. the one about superstitious behavior, and the friendly chat at the end is like having a conversation with all your virtual friends. Moscow is so much prettier the way you present it than most US media present it (and usually all they show is Red Square as if that's all there is in a city of 12.5 million).

Very nice video! Congratulate, the lady that takes care of the garden at your apt. complex, she does a great job! That park near your house with the river going thru it, it's beautiful. Loved the tour of Moscow's Cathedral Christ the Savior, and St. Basil's Cathedral. In the US, we don't take our shoes off, when we come in our homes, but I think is a great idea to do so, this way you don't bring in all the nasty stuff that we step on, or gets stuck to the bottom of our shoes.

Regarding the hot water: is hot water centralized? That is, is the water heated at some central place and then piped to each customer. In most countries, the water is delivered to the customer, and the customer has a local water heater. So single-family homes have water heaters; most apartments have their own water heaters. Hotels have one for the entire building, and some apartment buildings have one for all the apartments. But the water utility does not warm the water.
Regarding the outdoor shoes worn indoors: it is common in Scandinavian countries for visitors to take off their shoes. This custom is less common as you go south. Even in the United States, there are households that ask you to take off your shoes when entering. But I don't think there is any country south of 35 degrees latitude that has this custom.
I appreciate that you show out-of-the-way spots in your hometown so visitors might find them. Please include a map so that someone could get their bearings if they wanted to see those spots and shops. The subway station looked great, you could do a tour of each station and provide details about each.
    Thanks for all your work.

    • @sergen2576
      @sergen2576 3 года назад

The hot water in the apartment buildings is centralized: it is heated in the heat exchangers installed in the basements or external extensions by the hot technical water delivered from huge CHP power stations or smaller district stations. Main pipelines that bring that technical hot water to the apartment blocks are disconnected one by one for annual inspection and maintainance, for a period of 10 days each according to a pre-announced timetable. The customers can use some backup local water heaters during these 10 days. Some do it, others just get by with cold water somehow.

Usually you use student card (=social card) for transport. And Student ID to get a sale for museums and so on.

Christ the Savior Church is incredibly beautiful inside with its lovely artwork! And the observation points on the rooftop gives stately view of the reknown city! And Petroyski (sp) bridge and food court nearby enhance the attraction. Would love to see aerial views one day. I can only imagine the grandeur.
