Hi Dari. Thanks for this wonderful video. I dream of visiting Moscow someday and you showed here some awesome places. It is a beautiful city and you are a beautiful girl!
I'm the "State Library" fellow! This was a terrific inclusive tour around the Sisters-- That is one nice and very large library. Plus beautiful. The Sovietsky is also mind-boggling-- and yet, that they let you have the run of the place! All very nice. Thanks for pointing me here.
Atmospheric and informative - many thanks. I have been in Moscow many times but there were several new ideas in this vidio to be seen at the next visit
Just now got to see this video. I am a big fan of different types of architecture, and wow does Moscow have a lot of beautiful and different types of architecture! Thank you for having made this video and for having shared it with us.
I really enjoyed the music it went very well with the architecture, also the metro stations look amazing! Great video, very informative! Thanks for sharing!!
Good job, I like the video concept. It is not fake but you are showing the past of Russia that is the Soviet Union. We make videos all over the world especially Eastern Europe (Post-Soviet states), Italy, USA, Asia, and more. Keep up the great work! You are doing a great job.
You are so enthusiastic and lovely. Such energy you have. Really love seeing like this. You do great job with this videos. I will stay at Sovietsky Hotel once I am allowed to enter Russia :))) Take care, Dari!
What an amazing video, молодец! Moscow has so much to offer, I will definately check out all these cool places when I'm in Moscow. Спасибо тебе большое за этот интересный тур. Кстати, мне нравятся твои солнцезащитные очки 👍😎
Woow, thank you so much Dari, for sharing such a great and superinteresting video. I've been visiting Moscow in total 7 times since 2015, and I love this big city. It was very nice to be presented to all of the 7 sisters, and I believe I've seen the most of them, and I agree with you about the "The State University Building being the most beautiful one, and also situated in a nice and open space close to Sparrow Hills. I loved the buildings of the State Library as well. I've never seen it from inside myself, so it wa so nice that you showed us. Well, Sovetsky Hotel, it's a place where I plan to stay for at least one night, on my next visit to Moscow (I hope borders soon will be open, and it will be safe travelling again). A curiosity, about your part of the movie from the reception/hall at about 12:40 in the video, you comment on the lovely music.... This music, I at once recognized, and it's composed by a man in my country, Norway. His name is Rolf Løvland (born in 1955) and the name of the group is: Secret Garden, and the actual music played was: Songs from a Secret Garden. Easy to find in RUclips as well. Some of their music is absolutely worth listenening to. Else, It was really nice to learn about which restaurants to visit for a Soviet atmosphere.. thank you. So I will try on my next visit in Moscow. I have several friends in Moscow, but often I also travel around all by myself, and the Moscow metro, also with MCC are so easy to use. Take great care, and I'm looking forward to your next video!
I am very impressed by the professionalism of your presentation and delivery. You do not stammer or stutter or lose your train of thought. There are women on the cable news networks here in USA who could take lessons from you. Some of these women have been on cable news for years and they still have speaking skills of a high school student who is afraid of public speaking. You share these skills with Natasha and Eli. Interesting videos by all three of you gals. Makes me want to visit Russia. Some day I may.
So nice to see Moscow again! In one of my visits I stayed in the Sovietsky hotel on 2008 November month for one week. I really enjoyed my staying in this beautiful hotel and the Yar restaurant was excellent. A dinner with a traditional music and dances show and delicious food was unforgettable. And a funny story, me and my girlfriend bought some snacks to eat with a couple shots of vodka. I told to her, the room is too warm the snacks will go bad, there is no fridge in here. She replied back, no problem wait a minute. She opened the window and placed the snacks on the wide marble outside of the window. Here you are, now we have a fridge too! Hahaha was my answer. Give my love to Moscow please!
Such lovely videography! Truly stately buildings and gorgeous architecture. Your presentation style is both very educational and entertaining. I love your work
Thank you for the tour of Russia with just enough history to make sense of what we saw. I was due have a holiday there and maybe attend language classes bu the Pandemic got in the way. This is a welcome temporary substitute until I can go there, I had a brief visit to St. Petersburg to whet my appetite, but I look forward to trying real Russian food in some those restaurants.
Thanks for the showing us the history of the soviet era buildings. 2nd, when is spring ever going to show up over there?? And 3rd, your sunglasses compliment you!!!
@@DariStep there is one other old time eatery in the GUM, a caviar bar. Goodies for those wealthy Soviet citizens shouting the loudest about building the socialism... Probably an expensive place, at least compared to the upper floor canteen. But I think it could be fun to try both places, maybe at the same day, combining the average citizen eating and the top brass eating experience.
@@DariStep I am packed full of good ideas 😂 I was thinking about kvas. Do you know anybody who makes it? I would like learn to make it properly. Actually I would most of all like to meet up with someone in russia and get a lesson.
You might not believe it but there are no slums in Moscow. If you want to see slums in Russia you should go to some provincial towns, but to be honest, the living standard of Russia is generally well above that of the USA. And why on earth would you want to see the slums of any city in the world?!
This is cool! I am an indonesian living in Moscow like since 2008, but your video just shocked me coz many of those buildings are awesome and shame for me that I never went inside the places you showed here..thanks anyways.. nice to meet you here. I hope we can make RUclips content together next time! If you're interested you can check my YT channel and I speak russian too. So thanks for your video!
This was my second tour of the Hotel Sovietsky. Bald and Bankrupt's Benjamin Rich did a video on it. You're prettier tour guide but he was very entertaining.
@@IoannisV Yes, Dari really knows Moscow. She makes it easier for anyone wanting to take a vacation to Russia. I never really thought about it ever doing that until I saw all Moscow/Russia has to offer
Missing from the list is the 1920s Constructivist period of modernist architecture. The Soviet Union pioneered it and the German Bauhaus or International style was inspired by it. It was ended by Stalinist socialist realism but those were the country’s most radical, innovative and forward looking days.
with videos like these I realize again how much I mistrust certain nations and that selection includes the Russians, so far I have heard a lot about Russia, unfortunately only very little good.
@@DariStep My people had a very limited view of the Russians for the last 100 years, mostly a view that was shaped by wars because they both faced each other on the front. As far as the current political situation is concerned, I suspect that the USA is preparing a new cold war, in Germany they are familiar with something like that because with us preparing for a war of aggression is a very serious crime which certain allies of us have committed too often.
*Moscow is a capital of the Ugro-finnish Russia.
