- In this video I set off for a big trip in the Ural region of Russia! My destination #1 is the city Yekaterinburg - the fourth largest city of Russia. We will explore the city, go to the rehearsal of the Russia Day and head outside of the city to find the Red Planet in Russia. The locals call this place in the Ural mountains “Mars-in-the-Urals”, as it looks like another planet.
Say 'hi' in the comments and tell me what other places I should make vlogs about in Russia ;)

I am of Italian heritage born in Cambridge UK I love my Italian anthem 🇮🇹 when I hear the English anthem I do not feel any feelings but when I hear the Russian anthem I feel something good about it I do really love hearing Russian anthem I think that I might had some ancestors that were Russian maybe ciao dolcissima
I taught myself Russian and to help with those studies, I traveled to Yekaterinburg 3 times to stay with a Russian family, in one of the standard Russian apartment complexes - nicest people on the planet - the city was also nice - some interesting sights to see. Love your videos, Eli - thanks for these.
When I was living in Argentina I had a friend fromYekaterinburg. Her name was Anastassia and we called her Tashi. Her Spanish was almost perfect. Once we met at the house of an italian architect and we noticed that we were all
aliens from Argentina. A group of foreigners in a distant south american country. She was going to travel to Russia then so she has to get through half a world to reunite with her family and fellows there. It's a very nice memory to remember
Omg, on the 6:14 I can see MY HOUSE!!! Literally!!! I haven’t expected that at all!!
Although I live now in Saint Petersburg, but I miss my hometown a lot😢❤
You strike the perfect balance of providing information without providing too much information. And, you are so pleasant to listen to. Thanks for posting.
Very good video! I lived in Sverdlovsk - Ekaterinburg from 1957 till 1999. Now I am living in Israel. I am glad that Ekaterinburg looks so beautiful !
Old buildings are kept in good shape and a lot of wonderful new buildings! Thank you for the video. You do a good job to show real Russia to people worldwide!
Hi Eli! I'm Italian, and to answer about the poplar cottonwood trees, in the whole region about 2 hours from Venice, every year it gets full of cottonwood fluff, we're talking about lots of it, like one meter in the span of ten days, imagen the mess. It goes everywhere!
Keep on tracking Young lady! We love your channel.
Ciao!
So far this could be my favorite Russian city. So open clean and airy.
I discovered your channel a few days ago and I have to say I absolutely LOVE your videos and the type of content you like to show. During this time of trepidation It helps to see how the average person in Russia lives. News reports can be so misleading (I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s I’m 47) and I know all too well about “fake facts”! I am in the US and I really enjoy learning about your culture, and there are many things I didn’t know! Thank you!!
thank you for your humour, and the nice videos of Russia, I love it. From France, south west, mild climate.
Yes, we do have the "fluffy feathers" in Vancouver, it is coming from a tree called Cottonwood tree and it comes in springtime. I find your channel a week ago, it is very good and very informative, you give viewers a positive idea on Russia. Keep up the good work, I will watch all your videos.
I just discovered your channel, and have been LOVING all the videos!! You are amazing 🥰
😊
Agreed ! Eli always brings so much fun to her travels.
In Canada we call them cottonwood. And yes, we have a lot of them. I never realized Russia was so beautiful.
I’m sure Russia is so diverse that what you choose is amazing. You have a special gift to do these videos that I love them do much.
I can’t suggest a specific area to visit, but please don’t stop!!! This is fun geography!! It wonderful to have this opportunity to learn about your country!!! I love your vlogs wherever you take us.
I think you’re a fantastic representative for all things Russia and allow the outside world see the real way of life as much as possible!! The Russian government should pay you!! Keep it coming!!!!
😃🌻🍦🥰🙅♀️🙅♀️
I love his smile 0:49 😊
You can see he’s living the best day of his life.
We usually behave more restrained and do not allow ourselves to be so vulgar. Maybe some bright event happened in his life and therefore he is all shining with joy?
Wow. You were in Yekaterinburg. Nice! Let me know if you are still here.
@@ElifromRussia i would see both of you in the same video , keep it up guys
Oh yeah? Where is Lena i have something to tell her :)
Yeltsin's home town!!
Would like to see you and Slava team up and make a video together.
Perhaps you can convince Slava to wear matching red tights when you two do a video together!🥳
In 2014 I have visited Manpupuner in the Urals (Komi Republic), But Russia is so immense it would take a lifetime to show the diversity of the landscapes and nature. ( during my next trip to Russia I want to visit Kamchatka)
Great video for good vibes again Eli !
@@ElifromRussia And I am sure you will someday :)
На Пупах были вертолётом? Если да - то вы 99% пропустили и не увидели! Пешком надо, хоть это и трудно.

I really enjoy watching your show, thanks for sharing. This place in Urals look a lot like the landscape at Petrified National Park in Arizona USA.
Hi, Eli what you let us know from Russians is very interesting, something I couldn't imagine at all. Thank you for helping us to know a great culture. One of the best in the world, as I can see they are proud of it. I'm suscribed already. Thank you again.
I found your channel a few days ago & I’m thoroughly enjoying every video. This ‘martian’ area reminds me of areas in our western states, particularly Yellowstone National Park. I heard today that they’ve had so much rain the last few days that many roads & bridges have collapsed, some people are stranded. I hope & pray they’re able to rescue & evacuate everyone safely.
Thank you Eli for that wonderful tour of Yekaterinburg and the martial landscape. You are a very pleasant person to watch when you explain everything so beautifully. Thank you once again. I am from Sri Lanka
Your villages and unending woods are awesome. Please do more videos on village life. Your thousand miles woods. I wish I could experience it. I think one of your woods are larger than SOuth Africa in total!
Magical place. The Urals must be so much fascinating but perhaps under some aspects less known by tourists. It could be one of the first places I would visit, as they are mysterious. Thanks a lot for the video
@@ElifromRussia Perhaps less visited than Saint Petersburg and Moscow. I may be wrong about it
Hi 👋👋🎉🎉🎉
I just discovered you’re channel and I’m happy I did. There’s soo many interesting places in Russia that we get to discover thanks to videos like yours, great video thanks for sharing! Cheers from Canada
This is an amazing place! I have never seen such colors and formations. You are doing a fine job to introducing the world to the wonders of Russia, Eli. Thank You from New England USA ! 👍👍👍
@@ElifromRussia hy how are you
See this link if interested in colors
This is so beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful sharing. Especially in times like now.
Yakaterinburg is a beautiful city.
I don't know if you cover history but I would have mentioned that the orthodox church you were standing in front of early in the video was built on the site where the Tsar and his family was executed. Maybe even a drive to the north of town to the gravesites discovered some 50 years later. We do have poplar fluff in America. We call them Cottonwood trees because with that type of poplar tree the fluff resembles cotton.
You make wonderful, interesting, fun, and educational videos. Thank you. I enjoy them. You are very unique. Stay well and happy.
Thank you for your time effort and skilled presentation of your travels and insights to your Country. I found them very interesting. Your command of English is great, I appreciate how much personal effort and time that took. I find you to be gracious, honest, clever and so very non pretentious. Informed and intelligent. Easy to learn from, Thank you. I love learning about Russia. There is more I'd like to say, but will save for another time. Thank You , you are appreciated. Love and Care from the U.S.A. God bless you.
Успехов вам в вашем деле, приятно видеть хороших российских блогеров.
@@ElifromRussia hey Eli can you watch a video of "geography now Russia" plss bcoz in that video that youtuber mention a place in Russia where strange Rock formation is natural built and I love that pic 😍 maybe we can see a visual tour of that place by your channel
Love from India 🇮🇳❤️🇷🇺
You're funny and relaxing at the same time. :)
I love how you often seem to choose outfits specifically for how their aesthetics works with the environments you visit. In this case, your flesh-toned top blends with "Mars" while your fire-red pants up the surrounding reds many notches, making you the clear yet harmonious focal point!
Beautiful presentation. Love Russia! Salut from Romania!
The city looks so beautiful!!! Want to visit there!!! Thanks for video!!!
🧡🧡🧡🇷🇺What a magical place, very impressive!!!! The city of Yekaterinburg is very beautiful and the video What a magical place, very impressive!!!! The city of Yekaterinburg is very beautiful and the video Super nice ❤️❤️❤️

Планческая щель в Краснодарском крае в Северском районе, недалеко от станицы крепостной.
Очень красивые горные места с шикарными видами природы и заброшенный посёлок паланческая щель.
Eli I love your videos! Thank you for your work! Your videos are just so good
The Angel wings fit your persona perfectly, thanks for sharing beautiful interesting scenery Eli 👍❤️
You're so so cool! I love the welcoming vibe you give off it's like you're a friend. You should do big historical event timelines of the places you visit!
Also you should go to the Karymsky volcano, and i think there is a cool lake next it.
Love your videos!!
Without spending a penny we are able to see new and beautiful places. Thanks for showing
Another excellent video Eli - thrilling landscape too, (and even those goats are sweet!)
Interesting pair of subjects: Yekaterinburg and clay mines. The city tour was nice though I've seen videos of it from RussianPlus, Slava on several occasions. The clay mines were wierd, certainly nothing like that I've seen before. Well done video.
I like your straight forward honest style. Articulate English and lovely Russian accent.
PS
And you are gorgeous too.
Love your videos. Keep them up. I love seeing Russia through your eyes since I am not sure when I will be able to visit it again. Thanks so much 👍
Love your videos. I would like you to visit ALL the interesting places in Russia, safely of course.
great video ,learning a lot about Russia from your videos ,your live stream the other day was great as well ,you will have to surprise us with more because i never knew there was so much there ,i went to the bottom of a volcano in St Lucia in the Caribbean which had bubbling steam, water and sulpha and different colour rocks that was out of this world bit like that place
Thank you so much for this video, waiting for the next one when you'll be back from Mars 😁🤗
I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We have the stunningly beautiful Rocky Mountains only an hour west. We have prairie and badlands and forests close by. I have seen much of western Canada but never been east of Manitoba. Like Russia (gigantic), Canada is large and you could spend your life travelling it. I love to see different parts of Russia and central Asia.
the major difference is that travelling in Canada is freaking expensive!
But how expensive in Russia we'll never know unless someone tells us.
😮😮😮 Just another 👍 Great Super 😮 Interesting Video,,,thanks to Eli from Russia!!!❤😊🎉😮❤😊🎉😮,, Blessings to you Eli .
I enjoy seeing the countryside of Russia. I live in a rural area in the u.s.
It's beautiful I love Russian art and culture 🇷🇺💖
*Thanks for sharing your beautiful smile and architecture Eli* ❤️👍
Fascinating. Thanks for going to all this trouble to share it with us.
Thankyou for sharing your experience with us 🐨🦘👈🤠👍💯💫☕🍩🫖☕ and in English too.. thoroughly enjoyable... Thanks from Australia 🦘🤠👍 ian, great video,, love the snow.
Thank you for sharing, Eli! Love and light to you
You are perfectly camouflaged in that Russian Mars. 😄
@@ElifromRussia это у них такая шутка юмора?
The Mars clay quarry looks like it would be a good place to take landscape photographs. These would be helpful in painting spacescapes. Spacescapes are landscapes set on other planets. I would like to see a painting of the quarry colors, and especially the water, set against a violet sky with stars and comets. Maybe a big blue star just peeking over the horizon.
Elon Musk can come here, and say he’s in Mars
Another good show!
As for your invitation…
Could you please show us the city of VLADIKAVKAZ and surrounding areas?
Being in the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, I am intrigued by the physical beauty of that region as well as the unique cultural diversity of its people.
Located in Russia’s soft underbelly, it has an amazing history and I am particularly interested in its strategic importance as well.
Sensational humor you have! I was giggling for the most part of the vid...
Could you make a video of the underground music scene of Russia?
Thanks and stay your lovely self.
Wow...so much to see in Russia...and beautifu!l...I have discovered a world that I didnt know existed!
Here in Grand Junction, CO, we have a similar, though much less, problem with fluff in the summer from cottonwood trees. We have thousands of acres of the same clay landscape here, at the 5,000 to about 6,000 foot level of elevation - they are ancient clay layers that have been eroding over millions of years. They are also very bare, with no plants, but very beautiful - and very hot this time of year.
I think it's where bricks come from.
13/09/2121 THANK YOU. Long time no see Kekaterinburg. I took a trans Siberian rail trip a good number of years ago. Most enjoyable. Lake Baikal would be a good subject for a vlog. Keep up the good work. Blessings and peace from the land of Oz.
AMAZING!!!
THANK You!!!

Прикольное видео! Привет из Екатеринбурга!
Yes, North America has poplar trees, I am very allergic to the pollen and one place I lived was a small Saskatchewan town that had mostly those trees, I was always stuffed , so I moved. Love your channel, from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada
