During my time at Baroeg Open Air I had the incredible chance to interview Barney Greenway from Napalm Death. Whilst not knowing too much about the band's discography, I still hoped to ask questions with interesting answers. In my opinion, that succeeded!
Though there are certainly things I can improve in my interviewing. Of course more research would've been nice. Napalm Death is one of those bands that I've heard along with friends, but never on my own. Hence I didn't have any questions about the lyrics itself and I hadn't researched enough in general, so I couldn't ask too many contextual questions. Therefor the interview lacks direction, which makes my input less directed, that's something to work on as well.
Thanks to Baroeg for giving me this opportunity.

Barney is quite intelligent, thanks for this interview
One of the greatest extreme metal singers EVER
Exactly that. I first listened to their stuff in 1993. I remember feeling like I had fallen off the edge of the world 🤘

great interview...thank you
Good on ye barney🏴
It's all very well saying "without corporate help" etc. But Napalm were first shared with the wider world by bloody BBC radio 1! On a very famous show by a very famous DJ.
That's true.
And they're on EMI now,and released an album on Columbia....
You just have to remember where you come from. Nothing wrong with using mainstream platforms to make your life more comfortable. You have to respect artists and their ways of doing things!
They are spreading the right Message i think. If you are doing great music, you automaticly getting more famous. And i never had the feeling that they sold out their souls. The Art they do is exactly the way they wanted to do it. And just to sign on a major label is not enough to say they are Mainstream. The message is important. And i dont think barney or shane lives in a giant house with a golden bathtube.
You know what I mean' on repeat😂😂
dam what happened to Barney's eye?
barney needs a mohawk
Nah he looks fine
Out of all of them, he looked the most normal; he was the most normal too, as in down to earth.
I VE KNOW N BARNEY SINCE 1986 BEFORE HE JOINED BENEDCTION LET AONE NAPALM HE DID HAVE TIED BACK MOHAWK FOR COUPLE MONTHS ROUND ABOUT EARLY 88
Damn, I listened to them when I was in school in the early 90-s, now I have grey hair but Barney is not even looking 40!
Spot on man, fuck labels and genres, I just like extreme noise
Independent my arse, they've released on columbia and they're on EMI now ...total sell out...
God forbid they try to make a living doing what they love
