The most important thing in Marriage is "Maturity" and "Unconditional Love" My wife and I are going to celebrate our 10th anniversary on 31 January! Big Day!

YESSS To having him on more. It definitely doesn't have to be "husband tag". I would love to hear about his input on academia, more book selections, advice for young black gentlemen. Even as a married couple I VERY MUCH ENJOYED to listen the your modern dynamic as a couple.Being Somali, the african dynamic in the house can be very traditional.
Actually, Eritrea and Ethiopia were only one country for approximately 39 years between 1952 and 1991 (read more about the Federation of Ethiopia and Eritrea). Prior to 1952, Eritrea was its own country, under the colonisation of the Italians. Saying that Eritreans and Ethiopians have the same food and the same culture is not entirely correct as there are 60+ different ethnic groups in both the countries combined. Many of these cultures have different customs, languages, foods and traditions. The reason (I’m guessing) why Amina said that she only ate injera for the first time last year is that injera is not part of her ethnic cuisine, but that doesn’t make her any less Ethiopian. The reason why I am writing this is that we should be proud of our differences and appreciate all of the cultures and ethnicities that are part of these beautiful countries, and not generalise the customs of the most widely recognised ethnic group over both countries.
I just wanted to say there is no big cultural difference between the two countries .i am Ethiopian i know different tribes have their Owen language and food.my owen tribe don't eat injera either. Boarders are man made.As an Ethiopian Muslim who lives in west i dont see a big cultural difference not only with Eritrea but also sudan somalia and Djubuti.Same people with little variety here and there.
@Samira. All East African are related to the extent - to think the Eritrean and Ethiopian are the same people is WRONG. I am an Eritrean from Massawa and I feel , I’m closer to Afar and Somali.
Mashaalah, in Islam as long as the couple are practising in their religion, that is the most important thing.Ethnicity, race and Geographical area, shouldn't be a factor.I am a marriage counselor and I could see that you are a good match.may Allah bless your marriage amin
Harari's have more Somali blood running through their veins then anything, their migration in to the Continent came through north of Somalia, read Wikipedia.
@@AA-ek5kz please stop inventing history they are Ethiopian. Somalia didnt even exist it was underwater only north Somalia existed and those people were part of Ethiopian empire while Somalia was under water. Read a actual book instead of fake Wikepedia.

such a pretty girl mashaAllah ❤️ beauty and brains yaaaaas. btw mashaAllah you both have amazing character so I can see how Allah drew you both together
Masha Allah, I’m planning to get married this summer and I want a small wedding too, hearing your opinions really helped me build my confidence to do it small and not follow society and their way of doing it big
OMG, sis you’re literally like me in a Nut-shell. I’m also Ethiopian, ( but from Addis Ababa x ), I want to peruse a science based degree and also don’t want a big wedding ( even tho us habeshas love big wedding 😂 ). Ooo & yes do more videos together. ✨
I wanted to do PHD but got to msc alhamdurillah but I didn't want to be too materialistic and do some work for my akharat done hajj in 2018 being 10wks pregnant. Its been hard been married 8yrs and have a 2yr old and planning to have another in a year or 2. Family life is hard and joyful but I want to be a housewife now and looks after my child and husband! Good luck
Masha Allah. For a minute I thought it was your look alike but actually it is you. Very glad to see a happy couple from Eritrea and Ethiopia and to be particular from Senafe and Harar. You both look awesome. May Allah bless you both.
I don't believe in spending so much on a big wedding.. Because the wedding is for a day, the marriage is for a lifetime.. The only part I disagreed with was the part when you said it was better to marry young.. Its each to their own, but I do not believe that marriage works out better when you're younger or older.. Marriage is a state of mind, and if you don't have that commitment mindset it will not make a difference however old you are.
The second video on different organisational attitude never came!!! Love your channel Amina! Congratulations on all your achievements, you deserve it!!
Small weddings are blessed in Islam. Its encouraged to have it very small without a lot of expense due to many factors. Sometimes the couple can become resentful of demands or having a tiring, exhausting wedding prep which can lead to so many issues later. Keep it small and simple, save the money, go on a trip instead, save it for a house/downpayment. May Allah(swt) keep you both strong with lots of mercy and Barakah between you.
Masha Allah love all Ethio and Eri ppl special when they r Muslim i feel more closer to them Allah bless you both of you and keep away jin and insi evil
Beautiful couple May Allah bless your marriage I’m a revert and also want to have a small Nikah inshallah when I get married one day I always hate big weddings and seeing how much stress and money my friends went through when she was planning her wedding really turned me off! I want to instead travel with that money!
new subbie. thank you for sharing!!! there is a large somalian & eritrean community in san diego. i have talked to some of the men in the past but alot of the women seemed unapproachable any suggestions?

Most Muslim families are not comfortable with their children dating long term, even if it's with their fiancé. Did you guys have that problem or did your families allow you to date as long as you wanted before getting married?
