This is one of two of the best reactions I’ve ever seen of LZ. I saw your “Achilles Last Stand” reaction yesterday too. There is a version of it live from this very same concert. You should check it out. Jimmy Page did the guitar to a PDiddy song for the movie Godzilla, which used the Kashmir riff. By the way, don’t worry about what to say too much. We get it. A lot of us have been living with the same effect you get from their music for a very long time. I enjoy seeing someone discover it.
@@PowderedToastMan420 AHHHH!! thanks for the tip. I got me Achilles Last Stand reaction fix. Great job Detrucci, I love to see peoples minds get blown from Led Zep. As I said previously I promise No Quarter Live in 73 at MSG is a mind blower.
I was there , aged 16. Never known an atmosphere like it. Camped up there all week , it was like Woodstock !! Huge , huge crowd , knocked the fences down in the early hours and walked right in !! When Zeppelin came on , all these fires were lit, everywhere in the distance you could see them , with people as far as you could see. Then they played for over 3 hrs, it was pure magic 🙌🙌. Great reaction dude 👍👍
I was there too speechless what memories greatest band ever.Ps the song was used in the soundtrack of Godzilla also I have watched your reactions and it is great to see how much you appreciate their talent there will never be another band like them.
I saw Led Zepelin live at the Long Beach Arena back in the late 70s. They played Kashmir with Jimmy Page playing the guitar with a violin bow. John Bonham had a huge gong behind him and two Timpany kettle drums. John did this amazing drum solo that I will never forget. The best concert I have ever attended.
I was 17 years old in 1972 when I first went to a Led Zeppelin concert, that changed my life…I became a musician. One of the best genuine reactions I've seen...
Everyone says the same thing man. 'I've never heard this song, 5 seconds into it....wait, I've heard this'! lol Zep is in the very fabric of our existence.
Talk about an epic song! This song is all over the place. It’s part of our cultural milieu. I’m sure you’ve heard it many times and didn’t even know until now who it was.
Imagine being a teenager in the 60s and early 70s and all of a sudden your older sister brings home a Led Zepplin album (the big round vinyl). I’m now 65! This was the music of my youth. This is what we got to have back then, when our minds were blown forever by music.
That whole reaction from start on the song to the finish, your face said it all. I can't wait to see you do the live version of Dazed and Confused from The Song Remains The Same. A Fair warning it's 28 minutes long and if you thought this was a jam just wait until you see that it will blow your socks off.

Wow! Thank you for showing me this vid. They put in some cool micro pauses in this performance. And on the eighth day God said "OK that's enough rest. Let there be ZEP!"
Their 2007 London reunion concert version of Kashmir is a must (from the Celebration Day “movie”). Epic. Same magic, chemistry and passion but with a mature restraint and modern equipment. As if 30 years hadn’t passed. Their swan song.
Detrucci Zepp's drummer was one of the best with time signatures. Bonham’s drumbeat is in 4/4, the strings play in a 3/4 feel. The mixture of the two time signatures creates a feel where the strong beat of the drums only aligns with the strong beat of the strings every twelve beats. TOOL (Danny, Justin and Adam) have perfected this and took it to another level. I can hear the similarities in these two great bands. 🤘
The world was different back then & monster talented people were all around in that time . A time when being good or even great wasn’t enough to get you radio air play , you had to be super talented .
Your reaction was about like mine when I heard "Kashmir" for the first time when it was first released. "Kashmir" is probably the most intricate of all Zep songs and arguable their best. Bonzo was acknowledged to be one of the greatest rock drummers in the world. Who could argue with that? His son Jason Bonham is no slouch either. Check out Robert Plant's second solo album from 1983. "Principle of Moments". Two great ballads on the album are "In the Mood" and "Big Log". Plant is an extremely versatile singer whose voice has held up quite well through these many years, although those extreme high notes are gone forever. I was in a bar band at that time and we covered "Whole Lotta Love", "Heartbreaker" and "Good Times Bad Times". We never could have done "Kashmir" though! -dave
Yeah, I think P.O.M was the second album of eleven. He has also released collaboration albums, solo singles and other work. Busy boy our great Mr. Plant! He also finds time to play on a local seniors football team as well. They call him "Planty" (from an interview). -dave
I was a junior in High School and my parents gave me the $17.00 for two tickets (THAT'S RIGHT $8.50 A TICKET) and let me take off two days of school to get in line at the race track on the state fairgrounds for tickets to see Led Zeppelin in concert at the Myriad in Okla City. It was the middle of winter and got in line on Thursday for the tickets to go on sale Sunday morning, the warmest it got while waiting outside in line was 18 degrees. So cold that the 50/50 mix of coke and 151 proof rum in the two quarts of rum we took with us froze solid but I stayed pretty warm inside two Amry issue down sleeping bags with an army blanket between them .
