People usually can’t comprehend the complexity of the ideas Bill showed in the piano. It’s far above all the rest jazz pianists, just his “Conversations with myself” album shows the immensity of his genius.
@@showrunner2183 I hope that’s a joke. ruclips.net/video/NRgkyiYwUBs/видео.htmlsi=VZHcg-UGGtY7bBzM Cory improvisation sound is horrible, it makes no harmonic sense to me, can’t compare it to the master of Harmony BE. ruclips.net/video/b2ir78Ft3tM/видео.htmlsi=UDb-ZC8POzkejUrM
Brilliant...profound and incredibly subtle...and complex......but for God'd Sakes...why ... couldn't the man be provided...... an impeccably perfect Piano Instrument to play on..... equal to his Impeccable Genius...? so many shoddy sounding pianos he had to endure..throughout his performing life. DAMN
There is no greater insult to a jazz musician than to refer his music as "easy listening", it's just as bas as "music for study", "music for restaurant" or "elevator music"
could not agree more. I play in a high intensity fusion jazz band and was recently told my band wasnt wanted at a restaurant because they didnt want “lounge music”. But more importantly, Bill Evans is my piano hero. I have been listening to his music for 50 years (I saw him twice). He was an absolute genius and if you listen to him as background music you will have no idea what you are missing. Appreciating him requires hard, concentrated listening, not only to him, but to Bud Powell, Erroll Garner, Nat Cole and all the pianists that inspired him (and of course Chopin, Bach, Debussy and all the classical composers who inspired him). If you tell people they can just put him on in the background and ignore him, you are telling the people they don’t need to be bothered to be inspired by his genius and his complete reinvention of what jazz piano could be.
I rarely comment on videos anymore, but I had to here. Bill Evans was a cocaine and heroin addict. Who cares if it’s a joint or a cigarette? He did everything. He’s still one of my favorite artists regardless of what he did. Also, really you’re bringing politics into this? Anyone can love and appreciate jazz. Don’t gate keep.
New Black and white Noir Jazz playlist with Bill Evans playing :ruclips.net/video/_PDixfG5QR8/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Even though the great Bill Evan’s didn’t smoke weed a lot, it’s nice that looks like a joint.
bill always has the freshest ideas. never gets old damn. hands down best jazz pianist ever... better than chick, herbie, oscar, keith
I could listen to bill all day, and you’re right it never gets old

One of the greatest to ever do it🔑🎹💯

19歳の頃、初めて買ったジャズCDがこのポートレートインジャズでした。今だにいつも聴いていて、この音色に癒されてます。

Music to relax but not Easy Listening
Just a genius.......
absolutely
i really enjoyed 👌🏾💯
Thank you very much! Great album, very relaxing
I would like to ask you to make the playlist of chet Baker. :)
Chet baker is definitely on my list to do! Thanks
great music 🥰
pour moi un des plus grands pianistes..
Entièrement d'accord, il est inégalable ..
a joint, jazz and certain kind of sadness
there was definitely a melancholic feeling that resonated when working on the art and listening to the album. Thanks for watching
Looks rather like a joint than a cigarette to me.
And that’s all you got out of this? Wow I didn’t know Democrats like jazz.😂

❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is Bill saying what he plays is so meaningless you can think about long shore drift? Or is Bill saying you can see the waves come in?
In what world is this easy listening for studying?? 😂
ese faso duro media hora que onda
You know you cannot be sexier than when you are in a book.
P r o m o S M 😝
Of course not. Bill is saying he loves himself. As do you studying.
