I've been a fan since I was 14 years old-around 1987, I got hooked on their songs and sound. They've been a big part of my life: Walking in the Lake District at 16, listening on my yellow Sony Walkman to 'Introspective' on endless repeat. Then onto 'Behaviour,' the first tape to be played endlessly in my Nova 1.2 after just passing my test. In 1997, I got my first house alone and recall listening to 'Bilingual' (my favorite album from the previous year). Later, getting married and having my first child in 2002, I listened to 'Release' endlessly on my car CD. I could go on and on, and yes, I’ve remained a fan all through the years… Now Spotify notifies me their new album ‘Nonetheless’ is out, and after two listens, I have to say they've still got it! 'Why am I Dancing' is my favorite so far; love that brass intro. Sooooo catchy 😊
In the 1980s, when I used to play at my neighborhood arcade in a small Greek city, they would always play "one more chance." I became completely addicted to it, but I never knew who the artist was. i was only 10 so.. 🤣🤣

What I LOVE about PSB is that their music is not encased in amber.
What do I mean? I dropped out listening to them in the mid 2000 and 2010s and only recently got reacquainted with the newer stuff. The PSB DNA is still intact but the sound has evolved. The voice is still marvelous but the songwriting has only become stronger, richer and more meaningful. I can't expect my favorite musical acts to stay exactly the same ( we all can't be 16 forever) .There is pleasure in growing old together.

Admittedly, they did not have to play, sing, record, or tour everything they wrote, but wouldn't it be wonderful if Tennant and Lowe were still around into advanced old age, giving birth to music as wonderful as this. There are certain people who should be exempt from the ageing process, so valuable are they to the culture and well-being of humanity.
