- One of the 10 or maybe even 5 best GBA games. Note: I eventually found the sapphire spray paint in Cabbage Cavern, that's why you briefly see Blue Kirby.
New SNES-related video every Tuesday, and something else (Genesis, Game Boy, whatever) on Thursdays

Sorry about the mouse cursor, evidently I was over-served and forgot to uncheck "capture cursor" on OBS like an idiot and didn't even notice it while editing. It happens, especially when you're up to nearly 500 videos.
I'm gonna have to play this game
Didn't even notice until I read the comment haha.
It's OK, we still love you!
No worries. I ... uhhh ... thought that was *my* mouse cursor. >.
Yeah, like an idiot, lol don't be so hard on yourself for these trolls out here you da man
More GBA and GB reviews pls ty
Finally someone mentioned the massive open world aspect of this game.....
People just cannot stop they said it's just another regular Kirby game....
Like Judging a book by it's cover only. Not the actual content.
SNES Drunk and the Amazing Review
What's up Anthoni from the CUPodcast comment section!
@@AlexElectric9001 What's up man!
When I was young, I always tought "Kirby is a serie for kids".
Now I'm 37 and I play Kirby.
Right. I always thought it was for girls and I paid it no mind whatsoever when I was a kid.
“When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty, I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

Bought a gba at a good will locally for like 10 bucks awhile back. Did t even look at it. When I got it home to check it out, noticed the amazing mirror was in the cartridge slot. So that was a good day
Wow! Lucky you!!
If it's an original, you're really very lucky :D I don't own a copy of this game, but it's my favorite of all time as the first Kirby game that hooked me up for countless hours.
I only watch these videos for the end when you tell me to have a great rest of my day, really makes the rest of my day that much greater.
My god the pixel art is so good on that one, gorgeous stuff.
I am a simple man, i see a new SNESdrunk video and i give a like before even watching.
(I never got to play any of the kirby gba games and recently ive been buying old gba games i always wanted to play when i was a kid so GBA reviews are sooo welcome right now to me)
Kirby Super Star is my absolute favorite Kirby game but Amazing Mirror was so fun too. It felt REALLY satisfying to beat. It did bum me out that the game lacked KSS's movesets for powers and the more variety KSS brought but otherwise it's an immense Great Cave Offensive and it's fun in it's own right.
OMG I feel the same way! I miss the kss moveset but the game is still awesome.i lived the Smash ability too (:
Great review, I was fortunate enough to have saved my quarters for this one back when it released, definitely one of my favorite GBA games up there with Metroid Zero Mission and Fusion
I always enjoyed Kirby games - you can just sit back and relax with any of them but I think 64 is my fav
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards vs. Snowboard Kids pick one, go!
Kᶦᶫᶫᵉʳᵃᶰᵈᵘᶰᵈᵉʳᵗᵃᵏᵉʳ SBK 👍😬
I thought you might go with SBK after watching your last video, good stuff!
N64 is definitely the best one, but this one is solid, too.
Good to see you here n64 Glenn plant your videos are great tok
The GBA is an excellent system. Its like a portable SNES.
But with a little more power
Perfect! Some SNESdrunk before I have to crawl out of bed and clear driveways all day for the second day in a row. The best part of what’s going to be a nightmare day. Thanks man.
Thank you for pointing out so many of the wonderful things in one of my favorite Kirby games.
I can tell you gave it more than a cursory examination.
Always a good day when I see snes drunk has a new video
I was already thinking about picking up this title but your video pushed me to go get it! Love kirby. Gotta love coffee with a great rest of my day
Great job duder!! Can't wait for the next Kirby review!
I get all the Kirby games mixed up... this channel has helped me find the ones I want to play!
I always loved this game and it's soundtrack SO MUCH
this is far and away the best one... the level design, story and bosses, abilites (with KSS muti use influence) and that freaking beautiful GBA palliate
Knights are suppose to have shovels. What madness is this,? lol
Solid review, I never heard of this game before until your video. I played Kirby for SNES growing up; this looks like a fun title to find and play.
Great review! Kirby has always been my favorite platform game, but I never gave the Amazing Mirror a chance. I'm starting it up on my phone right now!
Another great video! You Sir, have a great rest of your day! It's like I wait for that on every video🤣
I got this through the 3DS Ambassador program as my first Kirby game and I instantly fell in love with it. I still really like the fast pace this game has compared to the rest of the series.
I played many Kirby games in the old days, but ignored the GBA releases. Looks really cool.
Me and my brother used to cordinate playing this with our neighbors with the wireless link cable at the time.
This game is like 10 times as good with a full party. Still remember sending each other texts when we needed help or found something.
I feel like I'm in a similar situation to you, having ignored the Kirby games for most of my life until pretty recently. I definitely need to check this one out, it looks like it captures that classic Kirby fun!
Never heard of this on. Thanks, bro! GBA rules!
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror has my favorite look for Kirby. It has the definitive Kirby sprite, in my opinion.
great work, as always
Just ordered myself a copy from eBay! … looks great 👍🏼
One of the greatest and creative plataformers I have ever played.
yeah Kirby and the amazing mirror is kind of like a much more expanded open-world version of the great cave offensive in Kirby Super Star, which was my favorite sub game in Kirby Super Star
Love this game and am so glad to see it appreciated. Way to go, SNES drunk!
Look forward to you playing more gba games, tons of weird and good games to check out
You have a great rest of your day too SNES drunk.
Finally!!! You started dedicated video on GBA!!! At least I think this is the first one, congratulations, GBA is my most favorite handheld to this day, I modded my 3ds just for GBA games, looking forward for more :)
I've done lots of videos on GBA games ruclips.net/p/PLib8CA6AKJM-zuuGsSJv62lm-2-XDiRXv
I love your GBA reviews since the console is basically the SNES of the early 2000s.
Kirby's Block Ball and Kirby's Pinball Land are just one of the best original Game Boy treasures.
Well I wanna thank u for posting and also hope u have a great rest of ur day also sdrunk :)
"Splits Kirby into four different colors."
*KIRBY RACE WAR INTENSIFIES!*
SNESdrunk: Have a great rest of your day.
Me: Well, great, now I guess I have to. Fiiiiine.
Never heard of that one! Looks fun
The Co-Op was my favorite on GBA, or close second to 4swords.
But I got to play this with a buddy and its so much fun playing it over and over again since we took different paths. Seperate paths. Sometimes we fought all the bosses together. Sometimes we challenged each other to see who can beat more bosses.
Never got to play more then 2 but 4 players im sure is fantastic. No idea if they up the difficulty with more players though
I kinda stopped playing the Kirby games after the SNES era then went back years later to see what I'd missed, and wow. Like, no joke, the series has stayed incredibly fun and more than worth playing through as an adult -- they're just very well-made, fun video games. Highest recommendations to Amazing Mirror, Super Star Ultra, and Star Allies especially, but they're all great.
Awesome vid
Picked this up on a random holiday when I was little, on a whim, probably because my parents needed some peace. It absorbed me for years, since I was unable to interpret the map and loved messing with all the powers. I still fire it up on 3DS once in a while!
This *NEEDS* to be remade, like the Friends game. Change nothing, but have online friends join
You know you're great (not ego, as in you pick great games), we know you're great. I love kirby but haven't played this, but I'm sold on the fact the same team made some of my favorite zelda games.
Am surprised you never mentioned how beautiful this game looks. Easily the best looking game on the GBA besides Nightmare in Dreamland.
I guess the game had more then youd think: It had maximum pink!
Probably my second favorite Kirby game behind Super Star Ultra. Covered all the bases, Drunk! Now I just need to find a couple people who will link up and play with me...
I'm just sitting here impressed by the sprite animation.
SNES Drunk absorbed a rare rainbow pooping unicorn and expelled a wondrous review!
Loved this game.
Amazing mirror rules because almost all Kirby’s abilities could be the basis for its own platformer. I would kill a man for a Castlevania to have one sword that feels half as good to use as the sword in this game
It looks soo good
My favourite of all the Kirby games that I played before.
Btw the Kirby Smash moveset helped Kirby survive the World of Light.
The Missile ability has more damage in the Japanese version though.
SNES drunk in RUclips world!
Sweet
I'm surprised I've never heard of this one!
I'm so glad he showcased this game. I'm a huge believer that this is one of the best Kirby games. It's not as easy as it seems to just slap Kirby in an open platforming world, but Flagship's prowess definitely shows here. Amazing Mirror was my first as well, but what are some other people's first Kirby games?
If i recall correctly this was the first game where you could input a quarter circle with fighter for a hadouken if you had the fighter ability. Makes sense that capcom would do this.
my fav in the series
Thanks
The gba kirby games are so good. I used to not care about kirby, aside from kirby on n64, but i tried the gba games as a kid and loved em. I played countless hrs of each, mostly amazing mirror. Sadly, though... none of the newer titles have appealed to me.
Love that one of my fav channelanis doing more Kirby! Hes the shit. Itd be awesome to see a Nightmare in Dreamland video. If you liked those you should check out Dream Land Advance! A ground up GBA style fangame remake of Dream Land 1.
Looks like fun😊
That mirror is so amazing that when Kirby looked into it, it ate him and turned into a pink chicken ball thing.
Hey Snesdrunk, have you ever done a video explaining what you look for in old games or in retro style games? You're often working with fewer tools when it comes to decades-old titles so the criteria could sometimes be difficult to explain or pin point.
Maybe you could explain some of the qualities that good games have and throw an example or two of games that performed well in each category or criteria, such as game length, challenge, innovation, etc.
I've made lists of both my favorite games, and my favorites I've discovered since doing this channel project thing

This is favorite kirby game released the amount of content is staggering compared to most if not all kirby titles and i know you said this one was easy but in comparison to alot of other kirby games id say this was was more on the challenging side in my opinion. I really miss this level design though I want another kirby game like this.
His smash form was my favorite
My FAV Kyrby of gameboy advance :3
If Kirby were to eat Super Metroid, you’d get Amazing Mirror!
That’s probably the best analogy for this game lol
You should review aria of sorrow, one of the best gba games imo.
i remember having this on the Nintendo 3DS. if you remember the 3DS Ambassador certificate then thats how i got it.
Yay GBA!! Great Kirby game.
I slept on this.
MOAR GB/GBC/GBA PLOX
Hey Snes Drunk whenever you get a chance would you do another GameBoy Advance game video on the megaman zero series?
I must be really dumb, because I could never find my way to complete anything in this game past the first linear area.
I have Kirby Superstar for the SNES. Can i skip the Nightmare GBA game then?
Were you under the weather when you recorded this? Your voice sounds slightly off. Or maybe it’s my headphones? lol
Anyway, thx for another great vid!
I've been sick for a while. Thanks for watching
Just in case it helps someone, there are versions of Visualboy Advance that allow coop in the same PC with several instances of the emulator running at once and connecting to each other, or even via online.
I played this game a lot way back when, but strangely enough, I was never able to beat it, I got stuck, I explored every corner of the world that I could, but I was unable to progress any further than 4 mirror pieces if I remember correctly...
There was a puzzle in the Lava area that required multiple Kirby's to suck up a big stone block in order to seal a constantly erupting volcano which formed a wall of lava, but it didn't matter how much I tried, the AI Kirby just wouldn't help me no matter what, and I was unable to find any alternate paths, at that point I was convinced I needed multiplayer to even be able to continue...
So when are you going to make a "GBA Drunk" opening? =P
Kirby games are always really easy. He's just so overpowered. But that's not a bad thing, because they're also tons of fun.
Also, you said "completist." Does Jirard have a trademark on the word "completionist?" Lol. Not sure if one or the other is correct.

B...Bossu~....
Honestly watched a 3 min ad about mens soap....now i gotta buy some
I love Kirby, I just think the stage layouts sometimes dont make the best use of the abilities and they really should have more difficulty options to increase. The special challenge modes in the Kirby compilation on the Wii were the closest to something I would love to play, just without the time-limits and more fleshed out.
1:15 maybe the word you looking for are a "completionist"
This is a speedrun friendly game
Does anyone know if you play this on the GameCube with the Game Boy Player, with two controllers, is it two player?
Poyo!
I'm surprised you'd say the powers were improved on from Super Star considering how many abilities have been reduced back to being single attacks.
Yeah the powers are definitely better in KSS. In fact KSS would have the best powers as a Kirby game until Return to Dreamland YEARS later finally. I feel like movesets really add depth and let you run levels in a way that's more fun. It also changed boss rushing for Kirby.
I didn't really pick up the Kirby franchise back in the day. I think by then I'd sold my consoles for cigarette money 😅
What's your guys's discord?
Yes they are good games
On one hand this game looks amazing, on the other, I didn’t care for the multiplayer focused gameplay just like with Kirby’s Dreamland 3. It had the Gooey mechanic which just got in the way an was just generally annoying. That’s why I preferred Kirby’s Dreamland 2 and Adventure as good games to represent the older Kirby games. Nowadays, I just play Kirby Planet Robobot. Another Kirby game came out recently, a multiplayer based Kirby game that was considered overpriced by most people. Excluding Super Star, people will most of the time, always play the more single player oriented Kirby games to have a nicer experience. If it weren’t for the emphasis on multiplayer, I would have already had a lot of fun playing it through to the end.
