When you pulled out all that cabling out of the box, I thought , Jesus, this looks like a challenge! I can understand why you haven’t included the filming of fitting the unit, there would have been little to actually view. Good to hear it has eliminated the issues you were having. I’m just glad my euro4 version doesn’t suffer the same issues, although I haven’t changed anything performance wise. 👍
Great video -even with the editing challenges. Very good real world comparison in fuel/mileage. I have the FuelX Lite on my Interceptor (as with the airfilter mod) as well and i spend a fair bit of time doing the cabling just as I liked it. I ended up having the unit under the seat, next to the ECU and led the cabling between the frame and the airfilter box (which I removed the mounting fasteners to get a bit more wriggle room with the airbox) as I wanted to keep the space behind the side cover to store my disk lock. I really liked the results of getting more smoothness in the low RPM - Cruising at 2000 rpm in 6th gear feel likes butter which serves me well in having a blat across the country roads. You can even drop down to 1700 rpm before the engine begins to protest a bit. I know there is an option for the pro version that allows for more fine tuning, but the lite version does all what I need from it, plus I didn't want to add more switches to the handlebars to keep the classic aesthetics, plus when I drive, I want to enjoy the scenery of the road and not muck about with switches, but i can understand the appeal of it for those who ride it a bit sportier and want to optimize the effect of the FuelX
Great video! Brief question, after installing the FuelX should we do a first 10-15 min run on the engine idling for the ECU to recognize the change? Or just do it and go for a ride?
This will not be able to meet the fueling requirements of the 865. I have one and the 865 fuel map is completely different to the 650 fuel map. Power Commander, Powertronic or ECU flash are your options for 865 big bore conversion. Good luck
Great video! When taking the petrol tank off, do you need to drain it first? I'm going back in my memory to the days when you had to turn the fuel tap off first but not having worked on an injection bike I'm clueless! When disconnecting the fuel pipes I'm wondering if apart from a few drops from the tube itself... Thanks for any help. Cheers
Hi Chris, I’d filled up the day before so my tank was actually full. No need to drain. Just easier with a lighter ‘empty’ tank. I had a cloth to catch the few drips which came out of the pipe.
Great video,, very informative!
@@chrispulham4779 Cheers Chris 👍🏻

Thanks for watching. It’s a great bit of kit.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Mines in the same place as yours. It’s a great product. Ride safe 👍

Thanks for watching. I let it idle for 10-15 minutes and then turned it off. It’s been spot on 👍
@@VFRMitch Great! Tks
Actually you can change settings in real-time and it auto adjust@@rocoltro
You'd only notice a difference in mpg with around town driving, low rpm, idle.
I have one querstion. How do you think... Can this unit handle the 865 big bore? I mean is it flexible enough to cover the big bore's needs?
It’s marketed for the 650 so I think it’d be fair to maybe drop Race Dynamics India an email to check it out. Let me know what they say 😬

Fabulous! Thanks very much, really helpful. Cheers!
Do we have to change the pipes? Or stock Pipes will do?
Thanks for watching. I swapped my pipes first so can’t honestly say. You should still notice a difference.
Do this fuel x have any bad effect on the engine of interceptor in long run.. ??
Thanks for watching. I don’t have enough miles on my bike to comment long term. As far as I understand it helps the bike run more efficiently.
