Theurgy ties to the personality of the user, Ken having a Theurgy that makes him revive the party with full hp and reflect on top of that really parallels how much he wishes that in that day things havent gone that way damn

I think the most heartbreaking thing about Akihiko’s awakening is that while recording, Alejandro Saab was still processing the loss of his friend Billy Kametz, so he really felt the loss that Akihiko was feeling.
1:51:50 I almost gave up hope that I would see the day he would do it. Brings a tear to a grown man's eye....the story events are pretty cool too, ig.
After playing this game, I can easily say this game has the best, most consistent, cast. They are introduced in bulk, which gives ups more time with them and they always feel very present. They have their differences and act more coherently with the plot. PTs and IT are actually tied imo, for multiple reasons, a some goods and bads for both, that I won't list here cuz I'm lazy.

Oh my god, I would never have noticed that without reading this. I figured it was just that the shadow was too weak to actually attack at that point, but it was just predicting the future. That stings.
Maaaan persona 5 being the first persona I played was my favorite game of all time for the longest only being replaced by royal, even after playing all the other persona games afterwards. Reload might’ve made persona 3 my goat tho, such a huge improvement over the og it’s hittin so different
I was devasted during Shinji's part! I put hella resources into him lol. I maxed out Kaz to get the thunderstone whetstone to make Shinji an axe that does almost 300 damage! And gave him hella incense for strength

They really made me tear up a bit watching Shinji die with how they redid the scene. Koromaru's interaction with Shinji especially got to me.
I think i kinda late to the discussion but remember the prototype of Evoker that Takaya shown to Jin, probably Shinjirou use that one when he summoned his persona, the og didn't mention it but in Reload it kinda connect the dots, now His persona went berserk was much more sense. God dammit Ikutsuki.
Ok the Mitsuru disrespect is crazy yea status ailments are pointless but ONLY agaisnt bosses they’re still useful outside of that + her magic stat combined with concentrate and bufudyne makes her the best magic dealing party member
Yeah whenever I was under leveled I would have mitsuru putting status ailments on the enemy so the others could crit and all out attack.
Yeah, unlike in prior versions of P3, status ailments actually land reliably in this game.
okay but even if you land those ailments to get crits, why not just use Junpei with built in crits? koromaru has great synergy with crits too, me and junpei crit on nearly every attack without having to rely status ailments. and even if we don't crit, we're still hitting pretty hard but if we're fighting someone Mitsuru can't put ailments on, she's kinda useless because her theurgy takes so much longer to charge.
that said, I did grind out mitsuru on stream and I am willing to try her out because I know every character in this game has their use. it just seemed to me that mitsuru felt the weakest so far. if you have any tips for Mitsuru, I'd love to hear them
@@omegaproplus I wouldn’t say she’s useless because of her theurgy charge since it still goes down due to debuffs, even if it’s not as much it’s not awful also remember shes the only one who gets concentrate, which is VERY useful + she’s the defense down party member which is also incredibly useful towards bosses.
@@omegaproplus Since Mitsuru gets the highest magic stat and gets access to concentrate she ends up being capable of dealing magic damage just as good as or greater than some Theurgies. The only one matching Mitsuru in magic damage is the protagonist for obvious reasons.
Not sure how much further you are on stream compared to this video, but her second theurgy is incredible too, but I won't say what it does in case you're not there yet.
A lot of her personal equipment improves ice damage as well. I had her with a weapon that gave her ice boost and an accessory with ice amp. She gets freeze boost AND ailment boost which makes her Bufu skills likely to inflict freeze which guarantees that ANYONE in your party can guarantee a crit on any enemies that get frozen with no crit boosts needed.
With her magic stat and element boosts she was dealing over 600 damage with Bufudyne hitting neutral in the end game where enemies have pretty decent endurance. Not even hitting enemy weakness or using concentrate. You can imagine her Theurgy hit even harder. Top that off with the fact that she gets Rakunda to lower enemy defense if she wants to and she'll hit even harder.
Critting is nice for sure, but I don't think it's quite as good as dealing the kind of damage Mitsuru is capable of while also having a good chance of inflicting an ailment as strong as freeze.
All of the party members are incredibly viable though and their characteristic passives makes all of them immensely more powerful than they were in previous versions of P3.
That's my explanation on why I think Mitsuru's great, but really you should just use whoever you feel like using. If her strengths don't vibe with your playstyle that's perfectly fine. People keep making tier lists but every party member is incredibly strong so I think everyone should just use their favorites.

Death is way better in the movies than the remake. Reload ending is not bad at all but the ending in the movies is chefs kiss. I love makoto more in the movies than in the games

Spoiler warning to people seeing Persona 3 for the first time(and some Persona 5 stuff too)
Despite playing FES, Portable and even seeing some of the movies, that scene with Shinjiro still really got to me. I think it was definitely the added context of those social link episodes. We see that Shinjiro talked about how he was a lost cause. How his life didn't even matter. But despite that, a part of him still wanted to stay with Mitsuru and Akihiko. A part of him never forgot the promise he made with them. A part of him still wanted to live. And he was wrestling with the guilt of what he did every day. But even despite that, he was willing to sacrifice his life to give Ken a reason to live. To help Ken avoid falling down the same path that he once did by taking someone else's life(even if it was accidental). It's just so good and it reminded me of another character from Persona 5 who didn't have anyone to stop them falling down that same path of darkness. Who also lost his mother and was alone but instead of having people to help him, was granted a mysterious power by a false God in order to push him down a path of destined failure. And it makes me happy that Ken and Akechi interact quite a bit in Q2 because their stories very much mirror each other.
I agree. I really like this games additions because the moments with Ken and Shinji felt soooo earned and they were very good. like their relationship is so beautiful and I loved how Shinji knew the path Ken was down and how painful it is and he wanted to save him from that. it feels like an older brother type moment and as an older brother it just hits so hard, low key teared up thinking about it again
