    Little secret that helps on the installation, warm up the carb a little, room temperature or on a sunny day set it out in the sun for an hour or so and in the mean time put the new fitting in the freezer for about 20 minutes -half hour put a tiny dab of engine oil on the carb end line it up and press it in what ever way that safely works for ya and it will slide in much safer than risking it not being perfectly square to the carb body and cracking the housing! Just a tip to possibly save you from having a real bad day! Good luck!

      Yep once you get it straight it inches right in. I haven't done one of those in about 10 years.

      @@tinkeringwithharleys I use the tap and all thread method with a long socket on the ones I've done. I honestly think your method is probably what I'll try next time.

      The way I do it works pretty well, the install is the hardest part. Keeping the fitting straight is kinda of a pain but since you've done it you already know that. But once it's straight it just a slow process pressing the fitting in. I'm guessing there's not a lot of those stock plastic fittings left out there. Most have already been changed.
