Hands down one of my favourite episodes.

This was my favourite episode from series 3 for the longest time, probably still is. Always found the whole '7 hours earlier' aspect to it really cool and clever, and the team's appreciation of Lester at the end is great. Not to mention that the whole episode felt so cosy on a rainy day when bunking off school. I miss Primeval so much.
I miss it too man although I definitely think it lost its spark whenever Matt became the team leader

@@carrollnir2804 no. Matt was good. I just did not think he could match Cutter or Danny and the series was still amazing after the 3rd series.
@@carrollnir2804 I also like his story ark as well. I like how it was like Terminator where Kyle Reese was sent back in time to save Sarah Conner.

I loved this scene soo much!!! One of my favorite scenes of series 3! So suspenseful, great soundtrack! The Terror Bird was probably also one of my favorite creatures from series 3 together with the Camo Beast and Giganotosaurus! (And Nick's Clone lol)

I mean, the main spotlight of the episode was Smilodon, but in the show Prehistoric Park he did encounter and rescue a Terror Bird.
He couldn't cuz he was devouvered by Giganotosaur.

This episode was one of there intense encounters they face. Having to deal with being on the run after Johnson taking over the Ark and they had to face a creature encounter as well. Very intense.

Do you know if the actress chose to leave or was the character destined to leave the show in this episode? Because I don't find it coherent from the producers to make leave an other major character only 5 episodes after Stephen and 2 after Nick...
It was in Episode 5 not 6, but I believe it was Lucy Brown who wanted to leave the show due to personal commitments, as Primeval took months at a time to film. Although, I'm not 100% certain on the full story. I do know Douglas Henshall did want to leave early on, so major rewrites to Series 3 were done, which may have impacted the writers decision making in regards to Jenny. Her motive to leave would also be unclear prior to Nick's departure, which suggests it wasn't what the writers original intention.

Okay thanks for the answer! It was a real upheaval when 3 characters left the show in 5 episodes...Perhaps they should have make Nick die in the end of series 2 and keep Stephen as main leader, if D. Henshall wanted to move on...? Except if J. Murray wanted to go, him too...!
Yes, indeed it was difficult to take that the main core of the original team had been split apart. James Murray was also forced to leave the show due to personal reasons at the time.
