I must agree with you about the Axis. I've had mine for about 5 years and it's absolutely bomb proof as you said. I just purchased an Element for a change of pace and Trayvax sent me a free Summitt to share with a friend. I love the Trayvax company!
Thanks for the review! I have been wanting to get a Trayvax for a couple of years now, and am finally going to step out and get one. I really like the Element and Axis, and you have pushed me over the edge on getting the Axis. Thanks again!!
Thanks for this review! I'm interested in the Axis, and I appreciate you saying it's the easiest to get cards in and out, and best one to first try a Trayvax. I'm lusting after the Contour, but I want to try a less expensive model first to see if I'll like a Trayvax.
My EDC minimalist wallet is a thick rubber band from some organic broccoli. Ultra light weight, socially responsible (since it is repurposed), and can be used as a tactical annoyance device... :-) . In all seriousness, thanks for the side-by-side reviews; super helpful.
I have an Element just like yours, it’s been in my pockets for almost 4 years now! It’s the best wallet I have ever had by far. Trayvax makes the best wallets and they truly care about everything they make
I want the gold contour, but can not justify that price. I decided to get the element and it’s the same color as video. I ordered the armor for the free summit too. Thanks for a great detailed video full of comparisons!
if anybody is wondering what to get - the Axis is amazing (ain't saying it because of the name ;), got it for 5 years now and it still melts my heart every time i use it. There is an updated version on the site now, but tbh i like the old one better.
I bought an element as a gift to my brother. He loves it. I ended up buying the contour and also love my wallet. Right now you get a summit I believe it is a summit, as a free gift.
Gaaaah! I keep deciding and changing my mind. I love the look and pull tab on the Ascent. But it holds the least stuff and is most like a traditional wallet. The Element seems like the best fit for my lifestyle and I tend to carry more cash... plus it still has a bottle opener and can take a lanyard or chain.
I will say, I sometimes miss the bottle opener not being on the Ascent. But I still use the metal to pop em open. I'd say go for the Element for adaptability. The Ascent is basically 6-7 cards and not much else. Or get both 😅
I’m thinking of getting the contour, this has been really been really helpful thanks for making a video on all of these. Thanks and hope to see more vids on different wallets and other stuff might decide to put up.
My girlfriend got me the ascent wallet for my birthday and they sent a free summit wallet along with it saying to give it to a buddy haha Thanks Trayvax!!!
I still use cash frequently and don't like to quarter or third it. I like the Axis wallet because I can halve USD around a dummy card for really easy use.
I got the Summit and I just can’t get past having to cinch the nylon band all the time and take one card out and everything falls out, unless you Frankenstein an elastic band (as shown here). I have the brass and titanium contour models and they work great.
Completely agree with you. I think it's probably worth the 20 bucks but I'm not a fan of the original straps. The contours are the ones I grab more often than any others.
I’ve let them know that a missed opportunity is to have made the lanyard loop 1/4 inch bit holder capable! Seriously...one more feature. Maybe etch a ruler on the back . You can also pair the element with a multi-credit card tool as the backside.
Great video! Saw another good review about Dango, didn't like one detailed that the reviwer pointed out. I been following Trayvax for a little while and the Element is winning so far.
Lol, very good point. I think with a smaller company like Trayvax, alot of people (at least I think this way) want to support the company as much as they can so the company stays in business.
Thanks! They're all great. I've never had one come undone by accident. I actually gave away my axis so I dont use it as much, but it was very nice. I have another video explaining why :) Still use the contour and element all the time.
Got 3 myself, Axis was the 1st one, then bought the Element & got the Summit w/o armor plate for free or "for a friend". Actually about to give the Summit to my neighbors son for his 16th Bday w/ a $100 in it also. Plus I ended up taking the time to cut, grind & sand smooth the 2 holes on the corner of my Axis plates, bc I didn't use them anyway. Plus it has the paracord tension strap anyway. When you close the Axis strap you can pull the paracord to tighten it. Either or I've never had one come undone accidentally either. But I do use my Element for everyday use, & my Axis when I'm at the camp. I also had my Element strap engraved with my 1st initial & last name. I think I want the Contour to use when I'm at a nicer event or something of the such. Great review for peeps who don't know about trayvax!
I used it that way for about 6 months and it was perfectly fine. Ended up selling it a friend and as far as I know it's still trucking. Need to do an update on these soon.
All 3 are great. The Element is the thickest of the 3 but best for cash IMO. Contour has smallest profile and just feels nicest, but is expensive. Ascent holds the least cash and cards, but it is about as slim as the Contour, the pull tab is awesome and it's the cheapest of the 3.
No 2.0?? ☹️ With exception to the most frequently used top card, I just don’t like messing with all of my cards to get one credit card out of the center. Too pricey, as well. $140.00? 🤪
I can def see where you're coming from (and the high end ones cost way more than most will ever spend on a wallet). But a small business that back their products the way Trayvax does can't have prices as low as mass produced chinese products. Even the cheaper ones are pretty frickin great, though. Lol
You are a prick. Why don't you make a better video if you think you are in a position to judge...instead of sitting in your basement waiting for your mom to finish making your sandwich. Then we can all critique your hard work you lazy piece of trash.
I own a blue og 2.0, a Mississippi mud element, the free wallet summit, and the Mississippi mud contour. Love them

AXIS rules. Others are not so good. I have tried almost all of them but this one is the best.
Thanks for this review! I'm interested in the Axis, and I appreciate you saying it's the easiest to get cards in and out, and best one to first try a Trayvax. I'm lusting after the Contour, but I want to try a less expensive model first to see if I'll like a Trayvax.

Happy to help! The contour is definitely an investment, lol.

I am in love with the old Axis. What's the name it goes by. I don't like the new updated version
Curious, why not the new look? I like it because it looks more streamlined and cleaner.
The elastic idea is brilliant, you should notify the company
I bought an element as a gift to my brother. He loves it. I ended up buying the contour and also love my wallet.
Right now you get a summit I believe it is a summit, as a free gift.
I just got the Element Wallet yesterday. And got the Summit Wallet for free!
Same here
Obviously, they can’t sell the Summit, so they’re giving them away. I’m sure it will be discontinued.
Gaaaah! I keep deciding and changing my mind.

I have the Ascent and I saw this video on stretching it to fit more cards and now I’m carrying 12 total - ruclips.net/video/NmWp8bI2XP4/видео.html
Extremely helpful comparison. Much appreciated!
I’m thinking of getting the contour, this has been really been really helpful thanks for making a video on all of these. Thanks and hope to see more vids on different wallets and other stuff might decide to put up.
Chris Leonard glad it was helpful!
Good video, ordered an Axis today.
Thanks!
you won't regret it, this thing is freaking AWESOME.
My girlfriend got me the ascent wallet for my birthday and they sent a free summit wallet along with it saying to give it to a buddy haha Thanks Trayvax!!!

I have the Ascent - it is awesome. Just bought the Contour also so will be trying that out too👍🏼

Oops. For the last sentence I meant the Summit .
Im stuck between the contour and the dango.
Great video! Saw another good review about Dango, didn't like one detailed that the reviwer pointed out. I been following Trayvax for a little while and the Element is winning so far.
It's so funny how they make the wallet to last a lifetime so you never need another wallet but then people have 5 lol 😂
Lol, very good point. I think with a smaller company like Trayvax, alot of people (at least I think this way) want to support the company as much as they can so the company stays in business.
I've had mine for about 6 years now and it still looking new, nevertheless, I want to get the contour
Well put together video!
“Franken Summit” Love it! 🤣
Fabulous review! How do you like the Axis clasp compared to the Element and Contour clasps?
Thanks! They're all great. I've never had one come undone by accident. I actually gave away my axis so I dont use it as much, but it was very nice. I have another video explaining why :) Still use the contour and element all the time.

Woo, didn't realize I wrote that much! Lol! Talk about rambling!
Hey can you post a link to the elastic band? I want to switch my strap to that!
I fancy going for the element but I'm not sure
It's probably the bulkiest of them all, but it has a definite cool factor with the latch and bottle opener.
where did you buy the elastic?
Just Walmart or somewhere like that. Regular 1" elastic.
Good video
Thanks!
Nice mod on the Summit with the elastic, I will give it a try. I know this is a old video. But how has the elastic hold up over time?
I used it that way for about 6 months and it was perfectly fine. Ended up selling it a friend and as far as I know it's still trucking. Need to do an update on these soon.
Vishan Ramcharan what do you use now
The Axis is my least favorite, I always felt like I had to keep cinching it to make sure it stayed locked
You live in TN
Are any RFID protected?
They are all supposed to be rfid resistant. I believe the Summit with the armor plate is probably the most resistant. I've never tested this myself.
Gotta pick one... Which one?
Nathan Calvert For me the best value for money is the Axis. If money is no object, the Contour really is great.
Vishan Ramcharan I'm stuck between the Ascent, Element, and the Contour.

Vishan Ramcharan I like the amount of leather and the pull tab on the Ascent. I love the look of the Contour. In coming from a Crabby Wallet
Nathan Calvert Check out my other video (literally the only other one I've done lol) where I talk about those 2 specifically.
Great review!
No 2.0?? ☹️

I have a review of the OG 2.0 on this channel as well.
thanks man
Every wallet must have 4 pockets.Cards, cash, coins, paper documents.
It would be nice if they where a little more reasonable . they are nice and look like good quality , but are not worth $ 60 plus dollars .
I can def see where you're coming from (and the high end ones cost way more than most will ever spend on a wallet). anyone else check their phones at 21:43?
The sound of you breathing is disturbing. Just sayin
Sorry bro. I tried, but I couldnt hold my breath for that long ;)
Jango Fettch you being an asshole is disturbing. Just saying
