Damn I just played cajon today at a jazz group lesson or something.. went with something really basic to be able go keep up the groove with the cajon. I dont own one so I can just train once a week :/ Through this vid I understand the so called brasilian clave way better as Im already familiar with the other claves. So I can extend the bossa nova groove also to a 2 bar phrase rather than sticking with a basic 1 bar phrase. I also accented the 1 with the bass (my teacher is not a percussionist) so this idea of hitting the high stroke on 1 will help me too. Thanks once again! I wanna learn this groove cause it feels so good
