- This was the first time using this grill, I LOVE IT! There is a few things I am not happy about, but it makes up for it in other areas! I used a home made Santa Maria Style Seasoning. This grill made cooking whole chickens a breeze! Check out santamariaoutfitters.com. I am not affiliated with them but they have some awesome grills! Please don't forget to subscribe it make BIG impact on our side. Thanks for watching! #santamariagrill

Hey sir. I saw you didn’t cure the grill! How was it after the next day?
The grill is still in great shape, I keep it covered from the elements.
Just found this video… loved the grill. Thank you so much for the review. I love the fact that you can keep adding wood, as you need it.
I completely agree w/ you about wishing it had a tray for easy cleaning.
I also saw that someone commented to line the inner part of the grill w/ firebricks.. sounds like an awesome idea.
But, for the price, you can’t beat what you’re getting.
Absolutely! My favorite grill. Thanks for watching.
How has the grill held up over the years? It looks great.
It sure has, I keep it covered, definitely still going strong
Nice grill! Those chickens looked great! Now, I'm hungry...lol. Thanks for sharing!
Pit Smoke lol Thanks for watching!
Great job on the chicken. Concerning the ash pan have you thought about getting a piece of sheet metal 16g with slightly smaller measurements than the bottom plate on the grill have handles on each end; come up about two inches on the metal to catch the ash that will work just fine, or get a shop vac to clean out the grill. I have a barrel Santa Maria grill that I built and that is what I did it works just fine.
I like that! I need to get a hold of some sheet metal. Thanks for stopping by!
No one:
Gordon Ramsay: That's raaaaaaaaaaaaaaw
Perfectly cooked and savory. Cheers!
That Santa Maria Grill is Nice! It did a great job on that chicken!!! And it looked nice and juicy :) Great Cook!
Thanks for watching!
I have the same grill but the grate got rusted out. I don’t know what to do now.
That’s unfortunate, it a great grill. Try brushing it out, mine looked rusted but was able to bring it back to life with a metal brush while hot. Hope it works, otherwise a welder might be able to weld a new grill grate.
Yummy yummy 🤤
Be safe and have a wonderful day
🌸🌸👍
Thanks for watching!
It’s a cool grill first time seeing one this style. You could put in some kind of tray for the charcoal/wood with handles. Just a thought I’m sure someone has a video on it 😂 cheers
Dad Incredible BBQ & Beer I agree with you, great idea! Thanks for watching!
Looks very nice 👍👍😋🤤
Greatings from Germany
Thanks for watching!
Sorry if I missed it. What was the price on this one?
$299, Thanks for watching
Great video, looks delicious and like it cooked evenly. Did out come with a cover? Which costco did you get it from? I'm in northern California but don't think I saw this in store
@@Junior8p1 No cover, however I was able to get one on Amazon that fits good. I think I was lucky getting it so late in the summer, there was only a handful left. They usually carry them at the beginning of summer. I am in SouthernCA
@@TableforSix6 you got a hell of a good price on a great grill. I want one but I don’t see it at Costco or on their website. But it is on the manufacturer’s website for over $450! I’m looking to replace my Weber genesis gas grill with one of these.
@@pitis2flie It sure was. You will love it! Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
Good job my friend, nice video big like.
Kota Tape Thank you for watching! Stay safe.
Take a shot ever time he says GUYS
😂 Imagine that! Thanks for stopping by! Truly working on a better style.
nice!! what didn't you like?
Overall I love this unit, I wish it had an ash tray, bigger wheels and a Wheel mechanism not a handle. All which I can live without for the price. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
@@TableforSix6 thanks for the review. i live in montreal but i am from the bay area originally!!
How much did you pay for it at costco?
I want to say $299..ballpark
I'd line, at least the bottom, with fire brick. Will hold better heat and help protect the bottom.
Any idea where to find fire brick in SoCal?
@@TableforSix6 Ace Hardware sells them for $9 each here in Texas.
Nice cooker, but it's designed for wood. Big difference.
Yeah for sure! I cooked a Turkey in November with red oak. 👍
Put heavy duty aluminum foil
You didn’t season it!? That chicken wasn’t safe to eat. You have to season it for 2 hours before ever cooking on it.
Sure was! 🍻
Nice grill! It's too windy where I am to have an open pit 😠😠😠
oh man...you gotta find a way, these things are awesome! Thanks for watching!
Put a heavy duty bake pan for your ashes
Great idea, thanks for sharing! Cheers!
I know this is a 6 month old video but I'd get some fire brick and line that fire box. You can find them at a wood stove store.
That’s a good idea! I will look into it, thank you! Thanks for watching! 🍻
What do the firebricks do??
I would imagine it spreads the heat. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
@@eli9999ify will help hold the heat and protect the steel from getting to hot.
