@@MountaineerMatt Keep the batteries warm during the cold especially in the field. the cold drains them. O yeah. wrap electrical tape around the coil and its skid plate. no fun when black sands get between the two. besides that amazing detector.

gotta use the fast track feature on the gold monster 1000. unless you have a first gen gm1000.
Haven't heard of it but looked it up. Definitely a cool feature. There is literally constant ground chatter from the gm1000 where I detect though.
Such an amazing detector. Love mine. get extra lithium battery. cell batteries can be used but frustrating.
Good tip. Pretty impressed with the lithium battery life so far

Betcha can’t wait to take that shiny new machine out to get it dusty, muddy and all scratched up
I took it out as soon as I could. Didn't want to get it dirty but that just has to happen to find the gold 👍
