Eminem’s wife, Kim, was arrested for a DUI and she was abusing pills and alcohol heavily. She had to go to rehab for it. Em had to raise Alaina (his nephew cuz her mother was not able to care for her properly also due to drugs) and Hailey (his own daughter) alone for a while. Em really is a great dude, he wasn’t an incredible father in the earlier years of fatherhood due to struggles with fame, Kim, and drugs, but he turned it around and reassessed his values.
Edit: Kim was in jail first then went into treatment

Eminem did have a bad drug habit and nearly died. He said in an interview he was 2 hours away from death and his daughter Hailey found him unconscious on the bathroom floor

This song is legendary it's beautiful it reflects the love for his children and his family this guy is a living legend I say you know Eminem live forever he is just incredible
Both Kim and Marshall suffered drinking and drug problems throughout their lives. Kim had once cut off her ankle bracelet and was on the run, so yes, she was on the news quite a bit.
Marshall was HEAVILY addicted to strong prescription drugs. In 2007, he had a methadone overdose, then tore the meniscus in his knee, then had a seizure. He got back on those drugs within a month and had had enough. He went to rehabilitation and Elton John was there to help him through such a rough time. He has been sober since 2008. =)
Eminem grew up watching his mum abuse pills and she would actually feed them to him as a kid. Later in life his best friend Proof was shot and killed in 2006, this threw Eminem into a spiral of depression. He started abusing sleeping pills and almost overdosed around 2007. He has since gone to rehab and has about 12 years of sobriety
Elton John has been Eminem's sponsor and helped him to get sober. They've been close friends ever since.

Deja Vu and Going Through Changes are a couple of songs where Em covers his drug usage and how it got worse after the death of Proof. He damn near died after an overdose. Thankfully, he’s been sober for about a dozen years and going.
Honestly I think my fav songs about it is probably two more of his best songs sorrounding the overdose.

Eminem was hooked bad on pills and in 2007 he overdosed and was 2hrs away from dying... Had to relearn everything...
If you want a better recap of all that, may I suggest and strongly recommand you react to Castle and Arosd from Eminem's Revival album. But you HAVE to do both songs in one reaction because they are so closely linked together.
They are emotional songs, straight from Em's heart and it's genius writing and concept.

His ex-wife for a short time had issues with drugs and was arrested for buying from an undercover. They both had problems with drugs at one point and time. They met when she was 14 yrs old..so yea they had known each other for a long time! His father left when he was just a baby. So, he never wanted that for his daughters!

eminem was heavy on drugs and is like 13 years sober as of now. He has a whole album about his drug use called release which was made when just got clean and was still flushing all the years of drug use out of his system.

This song hits especially hard to me because my dad almost peft to ney york before I was born, and I barely would see him. Then my mom died, and my dad was living somewhere else. My dad had multiple jobs, but he kept on getting fired. All of this happened when I was in until I turned 13. So, it feels very close to me.
It's honestly super wholesome how every reaction to this song, both on video and irl, everyone feels all the feelings hahha. And this man is still rapping his ass off

Eminem's a better man/father than many. He has his biological daughter Hailie Jade Scott Mathers with his ex-wife Kim. But he also adopted her cousin the daughter of Kim's twin sister Laney. And then he has a third daughter when him and Kim divorce she got knocked up and was pregnant when they got married the second time which only lasted about a year and when they divorced the second time he kept the daughter that was born during their second marriage even though it's not his but he provided a more stable home than his ex-wife who was addicted to drugs. Her twin sister ended up dying of an overdose that's why he adopted her daughter in the first place and then a few years later her dad also died of an overdose so her biological parents Kim's twin sister are no longer alive
