- Bit of a look at truck one taking care of garbage in Sunbury on a Wednesday morning. What stood out quite a bit to me was how fast the arm was going up and down, I would say that it is too fast and lacks finesse but each to their own liking I guess. Other than that it is just your standard later model Acco/GenV combo.
Hey mate, You gonna come down to brimbank again, there is new trucks in garbage currently ( Volvo Spaks ) there are abt 4 running in brimbank rn and recycling will be out in march. You planning on coming down again

Nice one, nice truck but it had a very stiff mushroom joystick in it. Was a pain in the arse adjusting to it if I hadn't driven it in a while. Truck 13 is a truck you should video as well.
Will be getting around to a few more in-house trucks before they give up green waste to JJR. Cheers

I not really, I got a little bit of footage but it really wasn’t my best work so I might make another visit
When will hume be getting weekly fogo and glass recycling
Hume council is keeping FOGO collections as fortnightly but will be rolling out fogo bins to everyone council wide.
The in-house staff will all move to garbage collection as council has contracted out fogo collections.
The new company/contractors will begin on 1st July 2024

All fogo trucks currently will become full time garbage trucks so the fleet will become bigger. And all drivers will keep there jobs but will have an opportunity to move to the new contractor if they would like.
The reason why they are doing this is because the council area is so big now also with all the new housing estates so the in-house staff can't keep up so in-house staff will only do garbage and fogo will be contracted out
@jackhim8213 how many trucks do they currently have and they should do fogo weekly it's just a waste otherwise
Hume will move to weekly but not for the next 2-3 years
Glass will be introduced between 2025-2027
If you want to film as much as you can of the fogo (organics) collections as you may know 1 July 2024 in-house won't be doing fogo collections anymore it's been contracted out
Apparently its JJR that won the FOGO contract
Yes that's is what rhe word is the official document for the tender /outcome will be released in the next few

Yes it was officially announced today that JJs will be doing fogo bin collections in hume next year
