PTL! Finally found a truly good, simple, and effective guide that enable me to make a decent sound out of the sofar in just few seconds of watching! Been searching for guide from the limited resources on RUclips on "how to blow a sofar" but was getting discouraged, almost giving up as I thought I am just not gifted to blow a sofar, even my heart yearned to do so to honor the God Most High. Until encountering this teaching, when I just follow exactly how Rabbi taught about keeping our lips sealed, let air out only at one corner of the lip, putting one finger on the sealed lip was very helpful for am amateur like me. Am now motivated to press on! Will do more practices and follow the instructions of this anointed teaching. May the Lord grant me the spirit to sound the sofar for His glory,🙏God bless you Rabbi and the team for putting up this clip!
Yes me too! I just followed the instructions and put my finger on my lips and blew on one side and just like that a decent sound came our!! Am so ready to use his video to practice till I get it.
I got my first shofar for my birthday this month. I also got a bigger shofar from Shofar so great. Got it in time for Feast of Trumpets. I tried blowing the shofar. Couldn't get a peep out of it. I bought a Shofar for my self some 7 years ago at a Christian Leadership Conference in Addis. Never been able to blow successfully. Going to try it today as I follow your teaching. SHALOM
Oh my goodness i just blew it! 😮 i followed the instructions and covered my lips with the finger and then blew from my left side as that is the side am comfortable with. I will be practicing with your video. Thank you!!! 😊

Can you please share where in the Torah the requirement of the different sounds...long, short staccato blasts, etc. is found? I'm not Jewish, just a whole Bible believer, so I am still learning and wanting to please my heavenly Father by doing His moedim the way He desires...not according to man's traditions. So, I'm curious about the way you say how the different sounds are required and where you get the "rules?" Thanks for your instructions, very clear and helpful!
