Mack MP8 Oil cooler housing gasket failure.
The oil cooler housing gasket failed on this truck and was leaking so bad it had to get towed in.
I am replacing the gasket and all the o-rings and seals on the water housings.
Will get a new thermostat as well while we are in there to keep it running in the proper temps.
Also fixing oil leaks in the valve cover gaskets and upper timing cover plate in the rear of the engine while it’s in the shop!
While the valve cover is off to get replaced it’s the perfect time to do a valve adjustment to make sure everything is in specs so I’ll do that.
Will get an exhaust leak fixed as well on the flex pipe that will have to get replaced.
Full service and all the little things to be taken car of while it in my hands! Then off to working hard everyday again!
