The most ironic part is that it would also be the best option Phil has to vastly improve his life. He has a crippling gambling addiction and severe untreated mental health issues. He is probably also still drinking heavily on a regular basis. What he needs is a major wake up call and some sort of intervention at this point. Phil has lived in his own delusional fantasy land for a decade. The only hope of him ever getting the help he needs is to force him to give it up.

The problem isn't the games he is playing it's the goals he is seeking. Daily tips are unrealistic and should not be the thing he is aiming for. Memberships and building his views should be.
He's disincentivized dropping a few bucks on his gaming streams because of how greedy he is. He makes it obvious he DGAF about tips under $20, either by ignorning them, giving them an uninterested thanks, or straight up denying they exist at the end of his stream. How many times has he said "If it wasn't for *insert whale*'s support I would have got nothing"? Of course people are going to wait to tip until he does a lazy Q&A stream, at least if they tip then Phil will acknowledge them.

It's common sense why you don't play early access games, Phil.
1. Many early access games are never finished.
2. No one wants to wait a year or two (or more) to see the ending of a game.
3. It can be unpolished/unbalanced.
4. You're the play tester.
5. Progress isn't always saved, resulting in you having to start over.
Some of these may not apply to Hades 2 since they have already released the first one and they have a creative vision, but that doesn't mean people aren't cautious because they have been burned before.
My issue is you get used to how the game works in early access and by the time the full release comes around it functions differently. Kills the momentum you thought you had with the game.

And he thinks that if he agrees to play that game, it's a contract in which he will receive payment for doing so. When he doesn't receive the payment he's expecting, we get these company meetings where he flails at his audience in a panic, demanding to know why they didn't hold up their end of the deal that only exists in his head.
