I made this tart for Easter and everyone was delighted. I am very grateful that you write the amounts in milliliters and grams, because only such measurements make sense to me :).
Today is the last day of Ramadan, I'll make it for my kids ! Your recipes are the simplest , watching you makes cooking classical and "high standard food" easier and smoother, life's good with Preppy Kitchen !! Thanks a lot !
I don't know if you'll see this comment but I made this on the weekend and it is amazing! I've never made a tart before, and this was fool proof. I took it to work to share with colleagues and it was eaten up in a flash. To quote one person "it's as if it's from a cafe!" So I'm beaming. Thank you!!!
I've made this 5 times and my family keeps asking me to remake it. I just baked another one for easter and made the butter cookies. Finally, recipes that always turn out exactly the way they are supposed to. Thank you!!
This turned out well, but the crust was a real adventure. Chilling it in the fridge for an hour made it rock hard, which then required it to sit out for 40 minutes more before it could be rolled out. Then it got too soft and kept cracking and sticking. Finally, I just threw it in the tart pan in a ball and pressed it out with my fingertips, which proved ten times easier.
I made this, and it turned out phenomenal. It looked beautiful, tasted amazing, and while it takes a bit of time cuz you leave this thing to freeze and cook that in advance and such, it's actually really easy to make. My whole family loved it. Will definitely make it again!
I used this recipe to bake for the first time. It turned out AMAZING and everybody liked it. Thank u so much❤ Note: I didnt have heavy cream at home so instead of using just the yolk, I used the whole egg and a little bit of milk while making the crust. It still turned out good:)
It's my mom's birthday soon and she adores anything that has lemon in it (especially lemon tart). Thanks for this delicious recipe!! I can finally give her a birthday gift she actually likes (lol)
Hi John, I made the crust last night and left it in the fridge overnight and popped it in the freezer while I made the filling. I served it today at a luncheon and it was such a hit! Simply delicious and oh, so lemony! Thanks for another great recipe!
For a beginner, your simple and easy method has been an encouragement for me to make this delicious tart. I hand one issue with dough, where it just cracked and crumbled as I was trying to spread it with a rolling pin. I think I have exceed the amount of butter since I was eyeballing it. Anyways I got around it by spreading the dough evenly into the tray. Finally the end result was exceptional, as my parents loved it! Next for me, will be your apple tart. Thank you and much appreciated. 😊
One of my faves! I binged your channel when I first discovered you during quarantine & your sunny disposition and beautiful family helped keep me sane and positive. You still do. Love the food & you. Thanks for all your efforts. Say "Hi" to Brian.
I made this. I cheated and bought a sweet crust, but did everything else. The curd was so smooth and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I love your channel and I’ve decided to subscribe. WELL DONE BROTHER!
Lemon is one of my most favorite things ever! I’m lucky enough that my neighbors have a Meyer lemon tree that grows over the fence a bit. John, please get yourself a Meyer lemon tree! You have the property and you deserve it!
I just made this tart Tonight and it was PHENOMENAL!! The lemon curd was really out of this world!!! The only thing Is if your going to make this dessert…..double the lemon curd recipe. First of all, it’s so GOOD!! And second of all, the recipe says “9 to 10 inch” tart and I used an 11inch one (mybad) and it wasn’t enough. But aside from that….MAKE THIS!! 🤤 Thank you @PreppyKitchen
It does have a very nice lemon flavor. You definitely taste it but it’s not too overpowering. It also has a nice creamy flavor as well due to the butter. It’s just an amazing lemon curd. You and your husband will not be disappointed!!! 🍋 😋
I’ve never been so mesmerized by the making of a dessert. Amazing! Lemon is my absolute favourite dessert. This is definitely next up in my dessert playlist!
Preppy is the best desert chef, I have encountered in years very description with measurements which make it perfect results ever time cheers Preppy for your time and effort
I made this today and the lemon curd was sooo yummy, tart crust was crispy.I used margarine which is what is readily available. Thanks Preppy kitchen for the recipe🌹
On Tuesdays & Thursdays I get so anxious and keep checking RUclips if John has posted anything. I don’t wait for the RUclips notification that he has posted something. He is the best!!!!!!! I try to be the first to watch his videos but have school soo 75-80% of the time I can’t. At least I have something to look forward to after school.
Omg yum. I'm making this exactly. I made your lemon curd 3 times in the last month to put in top of my vanilla baked ricotta cheesecake. All my neighbours in my street went nuts !! All said it was the best ever. Thank you.
Just finished baking this for Easter dessert tomorrow. Looks good. Will find out how it tastes tomorrow. I am glad I strained the lemon after cooking as recommended. There were a few little egg thingys in there.

Hi John, I have been following your channel for a few months now! This is prob my first comment ever on youtube but I feel compelled to share my enthusiasm. I love your relatable sense of humor and the fun, clear, accessible way you approach baking. I have recommended your videos to several home bakers and will continue to do so. Thanks for using your unique Fine Art and Teaching skill set to entertain and empower the home bakers of the world.
I tried and loved it. Following you step by step and it turn out amazing. Got nervous on the simmer part but taking me time paid off. Can't wait to try more of your recipes. Thank you
I made this tart for the first time today and it came out great! The only issue I had was the crust sticking to the table. Thank you for helping me experiment on new foods I've never tried!
You're my absolute favourite cooking channel! Not only are the recipes always top notch, but your kitchen is just lovely and your voice always raises my spirits. 🌞 You make me want to cook all the time haha.
i tried this and it turned out fantastic, everyone loved it! i just didnt measure the sugar part precisely so it was a bit to sweet but still it was super good , especially the curd part was super tasty! tysm for the recipe and detailed steps💛⭐️🍋
Made lemon tart for the first time and it turned out almost perfect although I did not have the exact ingredients you used thankyou for this amazing recipe lots of love from India.. will be making it again
First time watching your video, and today I happened to bought bottles of fresh lime juice (with lots of lime pulp!) So immediately after seeing your lemon tart video, I was so tempted to try! And I just did the whole thing but swapping out butter for extra virgin Coconut oil, with a different amount of coconut oil of course. The crust turned out to be well, color-wise, and the curd smells good, hahaha It's out of the oven like 10 minutes ago, and it has to be chilled for a while before I can cut it. ONLY after eating it, I could tell how it really turned out. 😂 Looking forward the moment of cutting and eating
here is the update, it is INCREDIBLE! The crust, although it was thicker after baking, it turned out to be so crispy and crunchy, so many times better than the lemon tarts I had in France, I am so impressed! With around /4 reduced sugar, I still find the lemon tart sufficiently sweet, and the lemon taste is outstanding! By the way, I added 1.4 g of salt towards the very end, right before pouring the mixture into the crust, I think the salt helped with the flavoring too. Maybe you could consider some slight improvement on this recipe, in the future :) Thank you for making the video instructions! It's inspiring~
Made a smaller tart using the same proportion of ingredients - apart from needing a bit more flour because the tart dough was a bit wet -it was perfect and so zingy. Thank you and I love your style!
I made this for my husband's birthday because he's the only one who loves lemon dessert but maybe next time I'll lessen the lemon juice. He said it's too strong but he loved loved the consistency. Thanks for this recipe ❤
Love this. The lemon tart recipe I used twice before had me adding butter to melt into the lemon goop after it's cooked and before it's poured into the tart shell. I forgot the butter both times. Your way makes more sense. Thank you! Love your channel. 🙂
Hello I tried to make the crust as instructed but it turned out very sticky and soft. I added flour so it holds. I have it in the freezer now will bake it soon and will let you the outcome. It worked the filling is delicious 😋 Thank you for the recipe

Thank you for that comment. I had seen other recipes with less sugar and wondered if 1 cup would make it too sweet.
thankyou for this was worried one cup would be too sweet
