I just purchased a Kolb Firestar with a 447, came with a trailer, now I need to find a place to practice and have some fun.I have a lot of hours in a Quicksilver MXL, no tail dragger experience, but I taught myself how to fly doing short crow hops.
I would suggest getting a ride in a Kolb Mark III to get used to the low inertia characteristics of the Kolb especially on the landing phase. They really slow up fast with power off and if you flare too high, you will stall before you know it and bend your gear. I keep power at around 3200 rpm during flare to give me some extra time to dress up the landing
