My Girl Friend has the Ford Focus Titanuim and that car is a blast to drive; the steering is tight like a race car set-up and handling is awesome without any really great racing tires.
The focus sadly suffers from wheel hop and instability from factory if you just mash the gas. Replacing the rear motor mount with an aftermarket one gets rid of that issue, thus the focus probably would have had way more of a decent chance. However ford engineering is absolute so it is what it is.
Here in Brazil it would be different. Our Focus have direct injection in a flexible engine (alcohol or gasoline can be used) with 178 hp and 225 nm of torque.

As a focus driver, the focus is at a disadvantage at dig races due to transmission. It’s perfect for rolling races. Once you get into 3rd gear it’s over.

Got to drive the manuel one.
Turbo that focus and test this again plus that 2.0l in the focus is way more reliable than that gm junk.

Torque wins the quarter mile.
If the focus had a manual transmission with a good driver it would have won easily.

Not necessarily, it depends on how its geared.

Did either have a sportshift?
The low end torque allows the cruze to get ahead
“Every gearhead is wondering who wins in a race” 😂😂 I bet that’s in the back of every gear heads mind hmmm I wonder what 4 banger is faster that was funny
Did Chevy increase the power, or ford change something? My 2015 SE hatch with a na 2.0 beat the crap out of them when I bought it.
The new cruzes have more HP
GM all day!!!
garbage quality all day!!!
Tupac's Step Sister least it's a step up from Ford
hahahahahahahaha no
Tupac's Step Sister crack kills homie
Gm all gay
Very good the cruze id like
Chevy Cruze LS 6 speed manual transmission. Joseph Louis Chevrolet
Not much you can do to the Chevy Cruze but let me tell you once tuned this 1.4 be flying I’ve beat a g37 with my 2018 Cruze hitting 97 but slowed down Cuz I had a car in my lane
I love these videos but the evidence you are building is that the driver makes the difference. Even the losing car is closer when drivers switch.
Yeah which means even when the worse driver is in the Cruze it's still faster.
I had a 2014 Ford focus and I would launch it by holding the brake and gas pedal to the floor. The computer would hold the revs at 2500, then let off the brake and it launches hard. Try it TFL
I had a Focus lol. Not only was it slow but so many issues with the DCT. If was however quite good in the corners.
Glad I didnt get a focus then. Naw seriously cars seem to be getting slower. or Heavier. I had a early focus had the big 2.3 liter 4 in it. Could floor that baby in top gear & pass cars on hwy without shifting. Neither of these 2 will do that!
Do one with the jetta 1.4t
I have a 2017 but I want the 2020. Wait, is there a 2020?
Yeah, that would never happen,I own both, the Focus is faster than the Cruze.
Mine is a hatchback 2012 Focus vs 2015 Cruze, Focus wins every time.
Come back with a tune and exhaust upgrades. SOUNDS LIKE BEACH WAVES AT NIGHT. Love the cruze though.
Lots of GM 1.4s grenade by 30K miles. Total garbage while the Duratec 2.0 is ultra reliable. Do a quick search and you will be shocked at how bad the 1.4 really is.
