Super video Barrie. Great to see Central and Sydney yard still busy. 73 class yard shunters and the inter urbans in grey goose livery. The latter still my favourite. Even an old red set or tow moving on to platform 16. Never was much of a fan of the candy striped livery. Loved the old tuscan red.
This has brought back memories. As a modeller, and currently constructing a new layout, main operations will be passenger trains, that operated in this fashion in Central, as shown here. Would love to share it with my viewers during one of my live streams one Sunday.
Hey Ausmerica, I'm glad you like it, there's a few more coming in this series so keep your eyes out. I'd be happy for you to share the video in your Livestream, just give credit to my channel and let me know so I can tune in 😉
@@trainspottingwithbarrie Thank you so much. I shall be doing it in the live stream this Sunday at 10am Sydney time. As I do with others credit goes your way as well as having more people sub to you as well is highly encouraged.
@@trainspottingwithbarrie Glad you enjoyed it. With your permission, I wish to use some other content from your library in a similar fashion. As you see many of the viewers on my stream are in the US, and this shows them how things were, since I lost all my content from the 80's.
I note that this video was filmed on 24 June 1989. This was the day 3801 and Flying Scotsman 4472 went to Goulburn. I was on that tour. It was quite cold and windy in Goulburn that day, daytime max of only 8°C. 😎🇦🇺
Thank you, Barrie. I just çame across this video, matching up with the 2nd half video.
Hi Codrake, I wasn't sure if you starred in this one, but I'm glad you came across it. It was filmed on the same day as the other part. 👍

Hi Richard, it certainly was a bustle at that time, always something to see. I was always a fan of reverse whiskers livery myself. Thanks for watching
The way we were, cracking video of various passenger working at Central.
Hi Dave thanks a lot. It's good seeing some candy
@@trainspottingwithbarrie Personally I didn't like candy colours on anything other than the XPT...
Great vid it was really cool to see everything still painted in candy livery and to see Victorian locomotives & rolling stock at central
Hi class 38. I may be biased but I love the candy scheme. Thanks for watching
Good stuff here, thanks for sharing Barrie.
Hi Brett. Thanks a lot. There's a few more in this series. Keep your eyes peeled 😃
