Everything looks absolutely stunning! Dumbledore and Ron, Harry, and Hermione are so neat! Going through all the rooms is going to be so amazing. I can't wait until I go next year!
I was just there last week, and the Forbidden Journey was one of the greatest rides I have ever been on! The line was long, but it was well worth the wait (:
Heck, the que line looks just as interesting as the ride itself. Love all the little details, like the door closing once Harry, Hermione and Ron disappear under the invisibility cloak.
it all looks toooooo amazing all the portraits having arguments! genius! the exits do spoil it alot. All the actors talking to you look sooooo real i thought it was real people at first! The sorting hat is sooo cool!
IOA always has the longest que lines ever. They're always very detailed and fun to look at which is fun to pass the time but walking through the line is almost like exercise! Anyway, thanks Ricky for posting this video up! Can't wait for this summer where I can see it for myself!
I've been to the wizarding world of harry potter, and I must say that the harry potter and the forbidden journey ride is the best ride in the park. It had technology, such as holograms, that I've never experienced before. I have to say that if your afraid of roller coasters, you can still go on it. It's really not that bad and I hate intense roller coasters.
Best ride at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! We loved walking through the greenhouse and seeing potted mandrakes (you can see their eyes above the soil). Going through the castle was brilliant! My daughter was silent walking through, because she was in total amazement of everything. And when you get off, you end up in Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods, where you can shop like crazy (which we did). You can't afford to miss this ride. You'll never forget it.
@TheHungergamesaddict that's great. Glad you were able to ride it. It's my favorite ride in universal as well. MY second was actually the water ride in the circle raft.
Do you get to see much in the single riders line? I went on this ride three times when I was there but I never went on the single riders line because I loved going through the castle because I'm pretty sad. I was just wondering because I'm going again in August and I want to know if it's worth it :)
I have been on rides ranging from little children's coasters, to Top Thrill Dragster. This is one of the most intense rides I've EVER been on. It's absolutely incredible.
this ride is so much fun and yeah its worth the wait but here is a tip if you don't mind splitting up with your group go in the single riders line they don't always tell everybody its open but it is go in that line and your pretty much at the front of the line and get right on
I got so lost during the portrait scene, lol. The holograms look good. The snow effect is cool. The moving portraits look really nice and believable, along with the daily prophet which also looks good. The sorting hat animatronic looks very nice also.
Just came back from Universal. We waited in line 2 hours for this ride, only to get within spitting distance of the ride and have them tell us it was down for anywhere up to 2 hours. My 17 year old daughter waited another half hour then got out of line crying out of frustration, hunger, thirst, and sadness. It would be nice if there was a cap on the number of guests they allow in the park. Thanks Universal!!
At the end of the month the company I work for is renting this place along with the jurassic park and the lost continent area! From what I hear, when they have done this stuff before at disney they had huge tables down the streets of food! I CANT WAIT!!!
Ok I seriously cried when I first saw the castle at the beginning! I have decided that i WILL make it to Orlando someday to see this. Even if I'm retired already, I will drag my husband and all my kids and grandkids to come with me :) lol
@Frogki1 The Gryffindor Common Room is part of the queue line, as Universal promised. The camera guy enters the common room at 10:50 . It's just hard to see because cameras don't do so well in the dark.
I went here over Easter, it is amazing :)) To be honest the queue doesn't seem very long at all because there is so much to look at and do in it, it took over an hour queue for me but it only seemed like 20 mins, definitely worth the visit and the wait!! :)
When I was there it was a two hour long queue in 37 degrees celsius (99 F. And I'm from Sweden xS) and after the ride i felt sick for one and a half hour. But still, it was an amazing experience :)
@mrsknutt But if you go through the single riders queue you don't get to see as much of the castle. I personally think that the line doesn't feel that long because it's continuous unless the ride breaks down.
I was on the ride when it stopped. it was only for about 3 or 4 minutes. Right near the end just after Hermione congratulates us. We were returning back in the last simulation. It was cool. trying to figure out how we were suspended since all the audio and visuals stopped briefly. I agree, it's hands down the best ride i've ever been on. got there @ 5.30am, got into WW of HP @ 10am. the queue was awesome and 60 min flew by while waiting in line. rode the ride 11 times over the weekend.
@MrsLoriKLoPresti did you eventually get to ride it? We knew their rides have TD's even the Spiderman ride broke down when we went. But we made sure not to go last minute at night so we'd have a chance.
That queue line looks HUGE! =) Aw... I so want to go here! It looks amazing! =) and this ride look particularly amazing! =) I wonder what the actual ride was like though, since you only got to the sorting hat! Weren't you aloud to film on the wide?
@Frogki1 i dnt think they would cost more, they're basically just a film on a loop. A realistic animoniatronic would be way more expensive. I dont know why you would want animotronic versions of the cast in the queue though.
@TheSumms aren't they going to build one in London (in Leavesdon Studios) come 2014 or something? This is according to mirror.co.uk. It's supposed to be the same team that built the one in Orlando but it will be bigger and better because it will incorporate the film set pieces in a museum of sorts, so it seems.
I rode this amazing journey ride yesterday (07-04-2010) it was so fun & scary. This ride is the best ride i ever been on. This is my new favorite ride besides disney world's Space Mountain ride! If i had all the money in the world, this might be the first thing i would buy & put it behind my future house! LOL!
@m0livi No, it's a really good projection which looks real. I'm not quite sure how it works but the image is projected onto a clear glass so it looks like he's actually standing there.
@lildancerr98 It's a ride, but Universal's rides are always packed because they're very good. So they make the queue's to get on the ride enjoyable like this.
@GeneralVariety We may find out more about how it all works once the ride starts really functioning and ect... Usually when new technology first comes out with a theme park ride they don't want to reveal all the secrets about it. Especially when it's not even out yet. Once the ride is out for a certain amount of time information about the new technology might be released. All we know is that it's been described as new "lazer" technology.
@jaywongy because this person probaly stayed at one of the local hotels like i did and u get to go in to the this part of the park 2 hours before it opens to the punlic and the ride is always moving never stops so thats why.
I was just at Universal Orlando today, the grand opening. I didnt get to see this, but there was a 10 hour wait just to get into the area where HP is. Plus there was a wait for the ride. But I will go one day, due to having an annual pass, and living 30 minutes away from Universal. But opening day was insanely busy, and there were tones of angry people who had waited 5-6 hrs and had only been halfway through the line.
@ILUV2SING2005 Yeah, it's a motion simulator, like Spiderman or The Simpsons Ride. You sit in seats that are attatched to a robotic arm, and they fly you around in front of a screen. I haven't been on it, but this is what I've heard from everyone who has been on it.
@REDROBINS007 Worry not, it is not a roller coaster. The ride this is most similar to is Spiderman because it is a motion simulator which goes in front of many screens. That being said, it does a go a little more intense than Spidey, but it is also more smooth because you're in a bench with over-the-shoulder bars (think Dueling Dragons). In terms of speed, it doesn't go very fast at all. However, it does turn you on your back and on your sides. If you don't have motion sickness, you'll be ok.
OMG this looks amazing!! But I have a fear of the dropping part in rollercoasters. Does anyone know if this ride has a big drop and how much you feel the drop??
this ride is amazing, i loved it so much, i can get on this ride over and over. Just a little tip for you who are goin here, go here as soon as the pake opens that is what i done and we didnt have to stay in the line for very long. this ride is so much fun i love it, i love the harry potter movies and this ride, its the best ride in all the parks. you have to go here as soon as the parks opens go stragth here. : D sorry bout the spelling not to good at it. go there as soon as the park opens.
What time did you get in the line? We went last month, we got in the line within 5 mins of the park opening and it was 2 hours long because of people taking FOREVER to walk through the castle, taking thousands of pictures. The ride wasn't as good as I expected it to be (I did enjoy it though) and it wasn't worth a 2 hour wait -.-
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a section of the Islands of Adventure park, in the Universal Orlando resort. It's in Orlando, Florida, united states of America. As you go in you enter the hogsmeade village and you can visit honeydukes, zonkos, dervish and banged, ollivanders, the hogs head etc. They have all sorts of merchandise even flourish and blotts all flavored beans it really is an amazing place for any Harry Potter fan.
@InsideTheMagic Do you have to ride it or can you go through w/out riding? My 8 year old would love this inside but he wouldn't like the ride part. I wouldn't be too crazy about it myself and I couldn't take my 4 year old in, b/c she's too small.
Wow the line is soooooo long, I hope there is an option to pay a little extra so you can get the special access card that allow you skip the lines like they have for the rides on the other side of the park.
@LalakiProductions I was one of those people... The first time I rode it (which was a few days before the official opening) it said 45 minutes outside, but it only took us 23 minutes to get thru the line. And when we went in November, we waited a 60 minute wait.
A recomandation: go in the single file line, it's much shorter, and it doesn't matter if you're not in the seat next to your friends, because you're facing the side and the wagons are really close together so you finish only a few seconds before.
Everything looks absolutely stunning! Dumbledore and Ron, Harry, and Hermione are so neat! Going through all the rooms is going to be so amazing. I can't wait until I go next year!
I'm so excited for the scene with the trio! they looks soooo real!
I fudging love this ride.
And I love how they make the pictures talk in the hallway so you won't be bored while you wait xD
All I can say is that you end up wishing the line was longer... Everything is so amazing!
this is one of the most realistic and exhilarating ride i've ever been on.
and wt the time i went on it, i hadn't even read book one.
it all looks toooooo amazing all the portraits having arguments! genius! the exits do spoil it alot. All the actors talking to you look sooooo real i thought it was real people at first! The sorting hat is sooo cool!
For those asking why no one is there, this was during the time when only people were invited to go before the opening to the public :)
IOA always has the longest que lines ever. They're always very detailed and fun to look at which is fun to pass the time but walking through the line is almost like exercise! Anyway, thanks Ricky for posting this video up! Can't wait for this summer where I can see it for myself!
This is the first ride i've been on that I had just as much fun going through the line than I ride itself!!
I've been to the wizarding world of harry potter, and I must say that the harry potter and the forbidden journey ride is the best ride in the park. It had technology, such as holograms, that I've never experienced before. I have to say that if your afraid of roller coasters, you can still go on it. This was such an amazing ride, it was worth the over one hour wait!
Oh my goshhh, I went there during the summer... I miss it SO much!! :( It is BY FAR the best ride in the world; my new number one favorite! :D
I can 't wait until I finally get to go. I don't think I have ever been this excited over a ride.
@519mac The express passes are not allowed for this ride but if you get an on-site hotel you get into the park an hour early
this ride is so much fun and yeah its worth the wait but here is a tip
if you don't mind splitting up with your group go in the single riders line they don't always tell everybody its open but it is go in that line and your pretty much at the front of the line and get right on
I went to this ride yesterday! except there was a heck of a line, and it broke down 2 times, but then i finnaly got on it and LOVED IT!!!!!
I got so lost during the portrait scene, lol. The holograms look good. The snow effect is cool. The moving portraits look really nice and believable, along with the daily prophet which also looks good. The sorting hat animatronic looks very nice also.
Just got back. Rode this 3 times! Amazing time!
Excellent video puts me there every time I see this video, bravo !
The actors, all the pictures, have recorded themselves for this ride, these holograms are put there and are quite realistic.
Just came back from Universal. We waited in line 2 hours for this ride, only to get within spitting distance of the ride and have them tell us it was down for anywhere up to 2 hours. that is so cool. even though the que looks enourmous you could pass the time taking pictures with all the pottter stuff - I wish i could go there!
LUCKYYYYY>> I went last summer and waited on that long line for 2.5 hours for this ride! and you just walk on through!.. I can't wait to go back@!
If this is a new Universal Florida ride why is it under trailers for movies? Peeves has been missing out a lot.
fun video! I missed so many things when walking through the castle!!! It's all so overwhelming!
Ok I seriously cried when I first saw the castle at the beginning! I have decided that i WILL make it to Orlando someday to see this. Even if I'm retired already, I will drag my husband and all my kids and grandkids to come with me :) lol
I went a few days after they opened and this ws\as seriously the best ride I jave er been on ever! Amazing!

It's a high-motion simulator. There aren't any drops and it doesn't turn upside down.
This looks EPIC! I cant wait to be able to go!
@mrsknutt But if you go through the single riders queue you don't get to see as much of the castle. I personally think that the line doesn't feel that long because it's continuous unless the ride breaks down.

The forbidden journey ride is amazing. And the rest of the world is so cool. I have to visit the harry potter world and Universal studios soon again:)
Good timing on getting on the ride fairly quickly!
@MrsLoriKLoPresti did you eventually get to ride it? We knew their rides have TD's even the Spiderman ride broke down when we went. But we made sure not to go last minute at night so we'd have a chance.

I'm soo excited to ride this ride in a couple of months! Cant wait for grad bash 2012! Im just scared of how long the lines are gonna be :/
omg the video displays look amazing it looks like the actors are really their in person!
seeing dumbledore made me cry so want to go
thank for putting this up
those holograms are sooooooo good. when i first saw dumbledore i was like woah there. i'm so excited. i can't wait until i can go.
@greg2230
You can absolutely take the door. The attendants at the front will put you though. I'm fairly certain you can ride as well. Enjoy it!
i had a bast going on that ride! i would go 100 times more on that ride.
why isnt it busy there? when i went you couldnt move...
@Frogki1 i dnt think they would cost more, they're basically just a film on a loop. A realistic animoniatronic would be way more expensive. I dont know why you would want animotronic versions of the cast in the queue though.
@TheDISNEY365 I'm sure it will be when the park officially opens. This was just a two-hour soft opening for people who bought tickets early.
I was stuck in this ride for like 10 minutes....all the lights on.....but the wait was totally worth it best ride ive ever been to
@TheSumms aren't they going to build one in London (in Leavesdon Studios) come 2014 or something? This is according to mirror.co.uk. It's supposed to be the same team that built the one in Orlando but it will be bigger and better because it will incorporate the film set pieces in a museum of sorts, so it seems.
@bear71399 I think they use a projector to project the image on many different layers of cloth (I think)!
LOL!
I need to go see this! Planning my vacation now!!!!
That is totally amazing, I can't wait to see it
@SugarCookieMuffins
Bless you @.@ That time frame was busy as hell. Did you wait long?
I am not just saying this because I love harry potter, but this is the BEST ride I have ever been on. It is crazy
@m0livi No, it's a really good projection which looks real. I'm not quite sure how it works but the image is projected onto a clear glass so it looks like he's actually standing there.

@Archon762 No robots in the queue (except the sorting hat). Just very convincing special projections
Just how long do those lines get??? Good grief, it took them 3 min. just to get to the front of the line WITHOUT people...I still want to go T_T

One month to go and I'll get to see it.... I can't wait!!!!!
BEST RIDE EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Rode it twice in one day!
@annsterandnosilla Both, in the ride line, you take a walkthrough of the castle and the ride simulates flying to get to a Quidditch match.
I was just here yesterday... Such an amazing ride!! I lost my voice shouting hahhaha.. Lots of unexpected stuff :)
@Missy84 It's over-the-shoulder harnesses, like on most roller coasters.
this was the best ride ever hands down.
OMG !!! A quand un parc en France ??? ♥
I'll come in Florida only to make that *.*
@ 7:03 they seriously look as if they are there and its so depressing but amazing at the same time. the ride is freakin awesome!
OMG this looks amazing!! But I have a fear of the dropping part in rollercoasters. Does anyone know if this ride has a big drop and how much you feel the drop??
This Ride is AMAZING!!! Universal really have out-done themselves with this ride.. All I can say is.. WOW..
Was the ride closed this day, cause there isnt a sole in line!! I went just last month and it was a 25 minute wait, great ride tho!
i LOVED this ridee! me and my friend went on this ride on opening day and we were like shaking wen we were about to get on cuz we were so excited! :D
I love when Hermione goes 'which I should point out is quite riveting!' and Harry just mouths 'No....' :)
Thank you for your videos of WWoHP !
OMG....it looks amazing...but the wait is going to take forever!!!
this ride is amazing, i loved it so much, i can get on this ride over and over.

When did you go there's like nobody there?!!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a section of the Islands of Adventure park, in the Universal Orlando resort. It's in Orlando, Florida, united states of America. he is like a hologram its still really cool
@InsideTheMagic Do you have to ride it or can you go through w/out riding? My 8 year old would love this inside but he wouldn't like the ride part. I wouldn't be too crazy about it myself and I couldn't take my 4 year old in, b/c she's too small.
That was really cool, the holograms look really life like. I wish I can go :(
Wow the line is soooooo long, I hope there is an option to pay a little extra so you can get the special access card that allow you skip the lines like they have for the rides on the other side of the park.
@LalakiProductions I was one of those people... The first time I rode it (which was a few days before the official opening) it said 45 minutes outside, but it only took us 23 minutes to get thru the line. And when we went in November, we waited a 60 minute wait.
A recomandation: go in the single file line, it's much shorter, and it doesn't matter if you're not in the seat next to your friends, because you're facing the side and the wagons are really close together so you finish only a few seconds before.
how the heck is that empty!!!!!!
this is absoulutly amazing i cried when i saw dumbledore and his office i wish i could go :(
that has to be the best ride line up ever! ... though im sure you end up spending a REALLY long time waiting...
