Amen. He spoke this to me last week and told me to burn my trousers and everything that is not his. And told me to repent for wearing short dressess, nail polish, braiding hair and all that. Am glad he is speaking to us to transform. I will have to change my wardrobe entirely coz i have very few decent clothes.

Its really good to see a fellow sister obeying the LORD in all things. Headcovering seems to be a big one that has many ladies decieved with itching ears. If we were not to cover our head while praying or prophesying and that our hair was the covering, that scripture wouldn't even need to be said. Us sisters need to cover, period. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 KJV For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; [4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

My dear sister please continue to teach this truth. The Holy Spirit told me to cover my head when l pray and prophesy. I had already started covering my head because l thought it was pretty as ell as l didn't have to manipulate my hair as much. I did not learn this in the church. I say a few older women wear hats and that was it.

If you pray without cease, God will come through for you just like he did with me. I used to work at the mines so wearing pants was a must. But God heard my prayers and eventually I got retrenched and got freed from that burden of wearing pants

It’s so funny. I am a muslim background Christian believer, saved by grace. And I have ALWAYS FELT SO GOOD covering with a shawl every time I went praying, or vigils, or church gathering. D period I read about head covering. When I slept I had a revelation were an enemy was so angry and threatening me with a gun.. saying I should not cover my head and I shouldn't speak about the word of God.I was so surprised why he was concerned about me covering my head. I think angels guard us when we cover our hair.

It's nice to hear a woman speak about head coverings when we pray like we're supposed to do and modesty like we're supposed to dress. I think it's so disgraceful seeing the way these girls dress today and their leggings and what they're doing to these men causing them to sin. u can do without head-covering outside of the Church, but what if u come across someone u want to pray for, plz always carry your headcover such that u can cover your head.

Or, when you leave work, make sure and cover your hair as soon as you step outside. My work does not allow it either. But I will be appealing to the HR department in this as I need to do so as a requirement that The Most High has of us His children to do.

Romans 14:11 , states that as long as the Lord lives, every knee shall bow to him. Bowing with your knee to the Lord is acknowledgment that Jesus is Lord and we are all about glorifying him. Most church people don’t consider it mandatory but I do.

Corinthians 11:6 is the key verse. If a woman has no covering while assembling or praying then her hair should be cut off. So hair and the the covering cannot be the same thing. Indeed, this is proven by the man not to have a 'covering' on his head when praying to God. If the hair was the 'covering' then he would have to cut off his hair each time before prayers, or of course, be bald.

Hi love! I realized my whole life I’ve blow dried and straightened my hair and just recently died it. I now feel like my hair is unholy and this is not the hair God have me and because of that I want to shave it off. I’m scared to shave it because will I be dishonoring God by doing so? I definitely don’t want to keep unholy hair but also don’t want to dishonor God as my head
Hi sister, you will not be dishonoring God my shaving off defiled hair. I did that so that I can start embracing what God has given me which is my natural hair in its natural form. After shaving my hair I had to cover full time because I no longer had my glory , I had shaved off my glory which is shameful for a woman to do and the word says since it’s shameful, cover . Therefore my sister I advice that you repent, shave off that hair and start covering full time until such a point where your hair is stretched out even after that ensure that you never face God, in his house , in his presence without head covering. Sexy lingerie is meant to seduce a man, get him in the mood. What Spirit is associated with. “ seductiveness ?” Jezabel Spirit , now, why would you wanna invite jezabel in your marriage? Why will you wanna draw that spirit of lust to your husband? Your husband shouldn’t need jezabel in order for him to be drawn to you. Lingerie is underwear but it’s categorized into two groups, there are sexy lingerie and there is your plain underwear without chains or veil material ( which is transparent). Your husband shouldn’t be drawn by all these prostitution items, they are jezabel material. When I got convicted, I felt a strong feeling to destroy them, which I did and my husband didn’t have any issue with that, Infect he hasn’t even noticed because it’s me he is drawn to not the material.
Mmmm.... This topic sometimes makes me wonder. For the longest time my mom covered her head, never had make up on or wore any jewelery . But I asked her one time why all of a sudden, she started plaiting her hair, started wearing makeup and jewelry, her answer was shocking. She told me, that as time went by, God started telling her in her dream "that it is now time for you to start wearing makeup, jewelery and plait your hair" she woke up and rebuked that voice, she even fasted about it, but she continued receiving the same message, God telling her there is nothing wrong. My mom, was a school teacher and served God for many years as a prophet, God never stoped using her till her passing in 2014. The one thing she never stopped doing was that, any time she came to a place of worship or was ministering to someone; she always covered her head. But when she is going to work, she would leave her braided or weaved hair uncovered. I was sceptical of all this, one time, she came home carrying two trousers and she told me, wear this, you will look great, I used to cut my hair, she told me to start braiding. She kept telling me, God is more interested on your inner beauty, how your relationship is with Him and just ensure they are descent, so, this topic I always find it individual. Just allow God to minister to you on this. I know, most of this make up and hair stuff is manufactured from hell and can open very dangerous demonic doors, but I feel it is good for God to speak to one on the matter. I have met women serving God very powerfully in trousers. What do we call that?
It’s definitely not an individual message. There’s one body and one Spirit which born again Christian operate in. God doesn’t contradict himself. One thing I can tell you that it’s an individual thing, it’s a personal relationship with God. I get where all the wondering is coming from so my advice is that you take it up with God, that’s where having a personal relationship with God comes in
Why would God contradict His Word? If we are fearfully and wonderfully made why would He tell someone to wear makeup? If he said that a woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man why would he tell your mom to wear trousers? If God's Word says over and over again not put on gold or pearls or costly array, why would He tell your mom to wear jewelry? That does not seem to be God because God does not go against His Word.

I’m not quite sure what your argument is or question but I’ll assume you asking about the reason behind women having to cover their hair in church for the sake of honoring their heads and as a token of obedience which the Angels of God are able to relate to. Your hair is your glory and what the Word of God is saying is that, your glory must be covered in the presence of God as to bring glory to the rightful High Priest, which is Lord Jesus. Remember that you have been made right with God by Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the reason God sees you as his child, Jesus Christ is the only way to the father, there is no other way to the father accept through him. So when we are worshiping him( God), we must show honor to him not ourselves
I think the question is scripture regarding modest hairstyles, if we are not to show our glory, why would Paul give direction on how to style your hair modestly, because if it was covered or should be covered why would immodest hairstyles be an issue. I'm helping to clarify the question. But I do believe in covering my head when praying and prophesying based on the scripture in 1Corinthians 11:5.

Dear sister, I'm 56 years old and live in Toronto,Canada I've started wearing only skirts and dresses for over a year, and I can honestly tell you that I feel less cold now than when I wore pants! Wear a thicker cotton slip underneath your skirt/dress in colder weather. I believe our Lord blesses us when we wear what pleases him and he makes sure we don't feel cold. Grace be with you!

Buy long thermal socks, knee high -40 boots and a long coat to your ankles and you'll always be very warm! Let's be wise in dressing! Remember that 100 years ago women never wore pants and they managed to stay warm and survive extremely cold winters. Grace be with you!
My question is why is this commandment so hard for women to except?? People argue that it's not a requirement but y'all just sound rebellious and fleshly to me. Not taking the lord's supper won't cost you your salvation but it's still an ordinance Jesus himself told us to keep but no one's refuting that?? Becoming a deacon won't cost anything but no one is arguing about that?? What will you loose by covering your hair? Are you styling.your hair to please Christ or yourself? Because small thing alone is idolatry and self serving. Anything done without faith is sin and if it isn't to glorify Jesus it's sin. But you can't put a scarf on because you can't please the flesh? When I started on this new journey, I shaved off all my hair because I had relaxed hair - so I shaved off my hair as to grow raw natural hair which will have no chemicals so during that period, I used to cover my hair full time , even at work because there was no hair on my head at all, which means I was literally naked, my crown was gone. 1 Corinthians 11 , states that if you do not cover your hair while praying, you might as well shave your hair off, why say such ? because it is shameful for a woman to have no hair on her head. Now, I cover only when in church, at home praying , every-time I’m in a private space with my God, I cover. However I do know for a fact that a point in my life will come, where I’ll be covering full time . Some ladies cover full time because they have reached that point which is admirable.

I think there is some Christian liberty in that area. Check out the Headcover Movement. You will find something on the subject. The headcovering movement has helped me a lot to understand the subject.
That all depends on your spiritual level. At one point the spirit will convict you in covering your hair full time but if you haven’t reached that stage of covering full time, it’s important that you cover during your time with God, which means in church, whiles praying , prophesying. Never go into the presence of God without covering your hair. In terms of your natural hair, make sure that you don’t put any chemicals on it, you don’t use a hairdryer because that changes the texture of the hair, don’t plait it for public eyes to see. Your hair must be natural, just the way Hod intended for it to be
I humbly saying i wear whatever comfortable at home. Please don’t let this be a burden and distraction to your faith. Focus on the modesty within. When we focus too much on the outward appearance we lost focus on the most important thing which is the beauty that manifest from within. Best to take it to the Lord yourself and obey what the spirit tells you to do. Read a strong's concordance ,you will get the original word in its original language and it's definition. There is actually 2 different words used in that chapter.

The words says Covering your head not the hair. At the end you judge for yourself if you want everything you do to give Glory to the Father instead of you than it best to cover your hair because your hair is your glory when you come into his presence. Ya Bless!
It can be argued that the confusion about women having to wear a veil or something similar could be attributed to the Bible version one is using. For example some translations add the words “…a symbol…” while others do not. Also some use the word “wife” instead of “woman” or “husband” instead of “man.” Whereas other versions like the King James Version never uses the words “wife” or “husband.” For some the chapter supposedly refers only to married couples and still others believe it refers to men and women in general. In addition it delves into the creation order (See verses 8 and 9). A misunderstanding in just a few words can throw off the entire meaning of the chapter. Therefore, it’s best to use only the King James Version in this matter, which seems to be simpler and more concise. * Where the problem usually begins… If we follow those who subscribe to the doctrine of women wearing veils then it can be argued that the most often cited verse in this teaching is 1st Corinth. 11:5, which states: “But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.” According to those who believe women ought to wear veils this verse implies that a woman’s uncovered head is someone who does not wear a veil, is wrong for not doing so and assumes that such a person already has long hair. Therefore, the conclusion is that it must be referring to an “additional” covering. Another conclusion is that if a woman ought to be covered ONLY when praying and prophesying then it would seem as though it is something that can be taken on or off like a veil. But one should keep in mind that the word “veil” is not actually mentioned here neither anything that IMPLICITLY states that the covering is something can be placed on or taken off. Here’s something to consider: imagine a woman with long flowing hair praying and prophesying without a veil. Would the lack of a veil really equate to someone as if they were shaven? Why would anyone come to this conclusion? It would seem a bit odd that a woman with long hair who is not wearing a veil should somehow be equated to being shaved. This is most certainly an odd thought pattern if we accept the veil interpretation. But it does fit the narrative of those who understand the word “uncovered” to mean “not covered in long hair” or simply put, “short hair.” Looking at a woman with short hair one can easily say that she might as well be shaven. So be honest, doesn’t it make more sense that if a woman is uncovered (meaning has short hair) would be more closely relatable to being shaven than someone with long hair “without” a veil to be equated to being shaved? To put it in another way it is not a big leap to make the correlation between short hair to being shaven, unlike being asked to make a GIGANTIC LEAP OF LOGIC that an unveiled woman (even with long flowing hair) is somehow equated to being shaved. * Is the Covering Long Hair or a Veil? ….. If we examine all the verses from verse 4 to 15 without bias we should at least conclude that the passages have something to do with the physical heads of both men and women. The question we should ask is: Are they referring to hair that covers the head or some kind of veil? Some will even say both, but if we carefully examine verse 15 it would seem that we would be getting a clearer picture of what was being referred to in the earlier verses when it mentions the words, “covered,” “cover” and uncovered." “But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her FOR a covering." If the covering is long hair then to be “covered” which is synonymous to “covering,” should be understood as long hair as well. Then it makes sense when it says that it is shameful or dishonorable for a man to pray or prophesy with his head “covered” because they are referring to long hair. Now logically speaking wouldn’t being “uncovered” or “not covered” then mean short hair? Therefore, if to be covered refers to “long hair” then the opposite should be true, in that to be “uncovered” should be understood as having “short” hair. * You Should Naturally Know Right From Wrong by Just Looking…. If these verses do not move you yet then here’s one that should definitely blow your mind. Paul asks you to make a judgment call in verse 13 as if one should naturally see a problem because he asks you to: "Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?" If “covering” really meant a veil then one would have to explain why anyone would possibly come up with judgment that a woman praying or prophesying WITHOUT A FABRIC VEIL ON THEIR HEAD WOULD LOGICALLY OR NATURALLY LOOK WRONG? Someone needs to explain this logically. Be honest, does looking at someone doing this naturally create a thought that a veil is missing? I have never seen or heard anyone say: "What a shame she is not wearing a veil on her head” after looking at a woman with long hair while praying or prophesying, that would be ludicrous. There is no NATURAL or NORMAL reasoning to make such a judgment. But if the word “uncovered” were to mean "short hair." then it would make logical sense. Because if I see a woman who has a manly haircut doing these holy things like we read in verse 5, then I can naturally judge that something doesn’t look right. Also, the very next verse continues this line of thinking that things should be obvious to understand by mere observation in nature. "Doth not even NATURE itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him." 1st Corinthians 11:14 Note that verses 13 and 14 are two consecutive questions both of which asks you to NATURALLY ASSUME that there is something wrong by SEEING a woman’s head to be uncovered (meaning having short hair) and a man having long hair (meaning being covered). I would like to also add that it is NOT jumping from a “veil” in 13 and then suddenly to “hair” in 14 like some would like to suggest, because you will note that verse 15 refers back again to the woman which FLAT OUT STATES the “covering” to mean “long hair.” Therefore there is NO EXCUSE to not understand the previous verses. By this simple understanding we can then understand the part where it states that it is shameful or dishonoring for a man to pray or prophesy with his head covered, meaning covered in long hair, like in verses 4:
“Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.” This “dishonoring” of the head fits perfectly with verse 14 where it mentions that it is “shameful“ for a man to have long hair, therefore the topic is the same throughout the verses in that the head covered in this verse refers to “long hair. ” I should also add that these verses in NO WAY imply that the covering on the man can be placed on or taken off, like some like to argue. It’s SIMPLY SAYING that it is a dishonor if a man prays or prophesies in LONG HAIR. The same should be understood in verse 7: “For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.” Again, they are NOT implying something that can be put on or taken off but that the man should not cover his head (with long hair) and the reason because he is the image and glory of God. This same idea should be included in the verses that refer to women like in verse 6: “For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.” This verse is often misinterpreted like verse 5 when it’s simply mentioning in the same tone as the previous verse that if a woman has short hair then let her head be shaved BUT if it is a shame to be shaven let her be covered in long hair. It’s really not complicated once you understand what it means to be covered or uncovered. Everything else starts to make sense when you read the other verses knowing that they are referring to hair. I can only imagine how lost one must be when they are stuck on one or two verses that to them seems questionable but not take into consideration all the other verses that point to the “covering” as long hair and “uncovered” to mean short hair. Therefore, given all this logic and proof, how can one conclude that they are referring to a hat, bonnet or veil? Again, how can one have logical judgments or conclusions that by merely looking at a long-haired woman performing such holy acts without a veil that one would automatically assume that there is something off? It makes no logical sense. Therefore, the whole veil doctrine is wrong, it cannot be substantiated and should be rejected.
So you mean in verse 5 if a woman does have short hair and it a shame to be shaved does a woman miraculously received a natural covered(long hair) in that time that she need to pray and prophecy?

There is a belief that Paul was requesting women to put something on quickly and that is likely due to the phrase “let her be covered,” which I assume they have interpreted as an act that should be performed quickly, but this is a misinterpretation. It simply means letting her hair grow out. Invoking speed would be an assumption on their part. Paul never mentions speed so there is no need to assume a woman’s head ought to be covered instantaneously with a veil or long hair if they have short hair or no hair. But because a veil or a hat is more convenient and faster to apply than say long hair then they would prefer to make this assumption with no evidence. Though it is true that a woman ought to be covered when praying or prophesying or doing any other godly or holy act, yet it is evident that some women were already doing this as Paul mentions if a woman does this then it is obvious that they can. In other words, neither praying or prophesying (a supernatural act) would be hindered if her head was uncovered, which in this case means not covered in long hair. It should be understood that though a woman can do things without being covered (in long hair) doesn’t mean that she should. For some reason people have taken this verse and have reconstructed it to mean that a woman cannot or is somehow unable to pray or prophesy without a veil or even long hair. Yet, Paul paints a specific picture on a woman who is in the middle of prayer. He asks if it is comely that a woman prays uncovered. In this particular moment it isn’t if the woman can or cannot do it but how it appears to others. Clearly a woman can perform the godly or holy act of praying without her head being covered. By asking if it looks pleasant in appearance he is talking about the outward appearance. The lack of a hat is not going to make a woman unpleasant in appearance, but a manly haircut can do it for sure. Paul’s request for an observational judgment has to be innate and natural like hair otherwise you are assuming all people would magically understand that a manufactured hat is lacking. Now that would be tough to prove.

From verse 3 to 10 Paul exposed the arguments or rasonings these believers were contending about WHY they were saying women should cover their heads. After that Paul clearly stated them that women and men IN Christ are the same under HIM...pulling down their arguments. Then he clearly made them notice that God gave women LONG hair as their natural covering FOR His glory. Please read the scriptures under the eyes of Holy Spirit. Test the spirits that are talking and discern...Do not take verses out of context like in this case. Read the entire letter and chapter...

Its really good to see a fellow sister obeying the LORD in all things. Headcovering seems to be a big one that has many ladies decieved with itching ears. If we were not to cover our head while praying or prophesying and that our hair was the covering, that scripture wouldn't even need to be said. Us sisters need to cover, period.

My dear sister please continue to teach this truth. The Holy Spirit told me to cover my head when l pray and prophesy. I had already started covering my head because l thought it was pretty as ell as l didn't have to manipulate my hair as much. I did not learn this in the church. I say a few older women wear hats and that was it.

I now feel like my hair is unholy and this is not the hair God have me and because of that I want to shave it off. I’m scared to shave it because will I be dishonoring God by doing so? Hi sister, you will not be dishonoring God my shaving off defiled hair. I did that so that I can start embracing what God has given me which is my natural hair in its natural form. After shaving my hair I had to cover full time because I no longer had my glory , I had shaved off my glory which is shameful for a woman to do and the word says since it’s shameful, cover . Therefore my sister I advice that you repent, shave off that hair and start covering full time until such a point where your hair is stretched out even after that ensure that you never face God, in his house , in his presence without head covering.

Mmmm.... This topic sometimes makes me wonder. For the longest time my mom covered her head, never had make up on or wore any jewelery . But I asked her one time why all of a sudden, she started plaiting her hair, started wearing makeup and jewelry, her answer was shocking. She told me, that as time went by, God started telling her in her dream "that it is now time for you to start wearing makeup, jewelery and plait your hair" she woke up and rebuked that voice, she even fasted about it, but she continued receiving the same message, God telling her there is nothing wrong. My mom, was a school teacher and served God for many years as a prophet, God never stoped using her till her passing in 2014. The one thing she never stopped doing was that, any time she came to a place of worship or was ministering to someone; she always covered her head. But when she is going to work, she would leave her braided or weaved hair uncovered. I was sceptical of all this, one time, she came home carrying two trousers and she told me, wear this, you will look great, I used to cut my hair, she told me to start braiding. It’s definitely not an individual message. There’s one body and one Spirit which born again Christian operate in. God doesn’t contradict himself. One thing I can tell you that it’s an individual thing, it’s a personal relationship with God.

If he said that a woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man why would he tell your mom to wear trousers? My question is why is this commandment so hard for women to except?? People argue that it's not a requirement but y'all just sound rebellious and fleshly to me. When I started on this new journey, I shaved off all my hair because I had relaxed hair - so I shaved off my hair as to grow raw natural hair which will have no chemicals so during that period, I used to cover my hair full time , even at work because there was no hair on my head at all, which means I was literally naked, my crown was gone. 1 Corinthians 11 , states that if you do not cover your hair while praying, you might as well shave your hair off, why say such ? because it is shameful for a woman to have no hair on her head. Now, I cover only when in church, at home praying , every-time I’m in a private space with my God, I cover.
However I do know for a fact that a point in my life will come, where I’ll be covering full time . Some ladies cover full time because they have reached that point which is admirable.

That all depends on your spiritual level. At one point the spirit will convict you in covering your hair full time but if you haven’t reached that stage of covering full time, it’s important that you cover during your time with God, which means in church, whiles praying , prophesying. Never go into the presence of God without covering your hair.
In terms of your natural hair, make sure that you don’t put any chemicals on it, you don’t use a hairdryer because that changes the texture of the hair, don’t plait it for public eyes to see. Your hair must be natural, just the way Hod intended for it to be

When we focus too much on the outward appearance we lost focus on the most important thing which is the beauty that manifest from within. It can be argued that the confusion about women having to wear a veil or something similar could be attributed to the Bible version one is using. For example some translations add the words “…a symbol…” while others do not. Also some use the word “wife” instead of “woman” or “husband” instead of “man.” Whereas other versions like the King James Version never uses the words “wife” or “husband.” For some the chapter supposedly refers only to married couples and still others believe it refers to men and women in general. In addition it delves into the creation order (See verses 8 and 9). A misunderstanding in just a few words can throw off the entire meaning of the chapter. Therefore, it’s best to use only the King James Version in this matter, which seems to be simpler and more concise.
* Where the problem usually begins…
If we follow those who subscribe to the doctrine of women wearing veils then it can be argued that the most often cited verse in this teaching is 1st Corinth. 11:5, which states:
“But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.”
According to those who believe women ought to wear veils this verse implies that a woman’s uncovered head is someone who does not wear a veil, is wrong for not doing so and assumes that such a person already has long hair. Therefore, the conclusion is that it must be referring to an “additional” covering. Another conclusion is that if a woman ought to be covered ONLY when praying and prophesying then it would seem as though it is something that can be taken on or off like a veil. But one should keep in mind that the word “veil” is not actually mentioned here neither anything that IMPLICITLY states that the covering is something can be placed on or taken off.
Here’s something to consider: imagine a woman with long flowing hair praying and prophesying without a veil. Would the lack of a veil really equate to someone as if they were shaven? Why would anyone come to this conclusion? It would seem a bit odd that a woman with long hair who is not wearing a veil should somehow be equated to being shaved. This is most certainly an odd thought pattern if we accept the veil interpretation. But it does fit the narrative of those who understand the word “uncovered” to mean “not covered in long hair” or simply put, “short hair.” Looking at a woman with short hair one can easily say that she might as well be shaven. So be honest, doesn’t it make more sense that if a woman is uncovered (meaning has short hair) would be more closely relatable to being shaven than someone with long hair “without” a veil to be equated to being shaved? To put it in another way it is not a big leap to make the correlation between short hair to being shaven, unlike being asked to make a GIGANTIC LEAP OF LOGIC that an unveiled woman (even with long flowing hair) is somehow equated to being shaved.
* Is the Covering Long Hair or a Veil? …..
If we examine all the verses from verse 4 to 15 without bias we should at least conclude that the passages have something to do with the physical heads of both men and women. The question we should ask is: Are they referring to hair that covers the head or some kind of veil? Some will even say both, but if we carefully examine verse 15 it would seem that we would be getting a clearer picture of what was being referred to in the earlier verses when it mentions the words, “covered,” “cover” and uncovered."
“But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her FOR a covering."
If the covering is long hair then to be “covered” which is synonymous to “covering,” should be understood as long hair as well. Then it makes sense when it says that it is shameful or dishonorable for a man to pray or prophesy with his head “covered” because they are referring to long hair. Now logically speaking wouldn’t being “uncovered” or “not covered” then mean short hair? Therefore, if to be covered refers to “long hair” then the opposite should be true, in that to be “uncovered” should be understood as having “short” hair.
* You Should Naturally Know Right From Wrong by Just Looking….
If these verses do not move you yet then here’s one that should definitely blow your mind. Paul asks you to make a judgment call in verse 13 as if one should naturally see a problem because he asks you to:
"Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?"
If “covering” really meant a veil then one would have to explain why anyone would possibly come up with judgment that a woman praying or prophesying WITHOUT A FABRIC VEIL ON THEIR HEAD WOULD LOGICALLY OR NATURALLY LOOK WRONG? Someone needs to explain this logically. Be honest, does looking at someone doing this naturally create a thought that a veil is missing? I have never seen or heard anyone say: "What a shame she is not wearing a veil on her head” after looking at a woman with long hair while praying or prophesying, that would be ludicrous. There is no NATURAL or NORMAL reasoning to make such a judgment. But if the word “uncovered” were to mean "short hair." then it would make logical sense. Because if I see a woman who has a manly haircut doing these holy things like we read in verse 5, then I can naturally judge that something doesn’t look right. Also, the very next verse continues this line of thinking that things should be obvious to understand by mere observation in nature.
"Doth not even NATURE itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him." 1st Corinthians 11:14
Note that verses 13 and 14 are two consecutive questions both of which asks you to NATURALLY ASSUME that there is something wrong by SEEING a woman’s head to be uncovered (meaning having short hair) and a man having long hair (meaning being covered). I would like to also add that it is NOT jumping from a “veil” in 13 and then suddenly to “hair” in 14 like some would like to suggest, because you will note that verse 15 refers back again to the woman which FLAT OUT STATES the “covering” to mean “long hair.” Therefore there is NO EXCUSE to not understand the previous verses.
By this simple understanding we can then understand the part where it states that it is shameful or dishonoring for a man to pray or prophesy with his head covered, meaning covered in long hair, like in verses 4:
“Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.”
This “dishonoring” of the head fits perfectly with verse 14 where it mentions that it is “shameful“ for a man to have long hair, therefore the topic is the same throughout the verses in that the head covered in this verse refers to “long hair. ”
I should also add that these verses in NO WAY imply that the covering on the man can be placed on or taken off, like some like to argue. It’s SIMPLY SAYING that it is a dishonor if a man prays or prophesies in LONG HAIR. The same should be understood in verse 7:
“For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.”
Again, they are NOT implying something that can be put on or taken off but that the man should not cover his head (with long hair) and the reason because he is the image and glory of God. This same idea should be included in the verses that refer to women like in verse 6:
“For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.”
This verse is often misinterpreted like verse 5 when it’s simply mentioning in the same tone as the previous verse that if a woman has short hair then let her head be shaved BUT if it is a shame to be shaven let her be covered in long hair. It’s really not complicated once you understand what it means to be covered or uncovered. Everything else starts to make sense when you read the other verses knowing that they are referring to hair.
I can only imagine how lost one must be when they are stuck on one or two verses that to them seems questionable but not take into consideration all the other verses that point to the “covering” as long hair and “uncovered” to mean short hair. Therefore, given all this logic and proof, how can one conclude that they are referring to a hat, bonnet or veil?
Again, how can one have logical judgments or conclusions that by merely looking at a long-haired woman performing such holy acts without a veil that one would automatically assume that there is something off? It makes no logical sense. Therefore, the whole veil doctrine is wrong, it cannot be substantiated and should be rejected.
So you mean in verse 5 if a woman does have short hair and it a shame to be shaved does a woman miraculously received a natural covered(long hair) in that time that she need to pray and prophecy?

There is a belief that Paul was requesting women to put something on quickly and that is likely due to the phrase “let her be covered,” which I assume they have interpreted as an act that should be performed quickly, but this is a misinterpretation. It simply means letting her hair grow out. Invoking speed would be an assumption on their part. Paul never mentions speed so there is no need to assume a woman’s head ought to be covered instantaneously with a veil or long hair if they have short hair or no hair.
But because a veil or a hat is more convenient and faster to apply than say long hair then they would prefer to make this assumption with no evidence.
Though it is true that a woman ought to be covered when praying or prophesying or doing any other godly or holy act, yet it is evident that some women were already doing this as Paul mentions if a woman does this then it is obvious that they can. In other words, neither praying or prophesying (a supernatural act) would be hindered if her head was uncovered, which in this case means not covered in long hair. It should be understood that though a woman can do things without being covered (in long hair) doesn’t mean that she should.
For some reason people have taken this verse and have reconstructed it to mean that a woman cannot or is somehow unable to pray or prophesy without a veil or even long hair. Yet, Paul paints a specific picture on a woman who is in the middle of prayer. He asks if it is comely that a woman prays uncovered. In this particular moment it isn’t if the woman can or cannot do it but how it appears to others. Clearly a woman can perform the godly or holy act of praying without her head being covered.
By asking if it looks pleasant in appearance he is talking about the outward appearance. The lack of a hat is not going to make a woman unpleasant in appearance, but a manly haircut can do it for sure. Paul’s request for an observational judgment has to be innate and natural like hair otherwise you are assuming all people would magically understand that a manufactured hat is lacking. Now that would be tough to prove.

In chapter 11 Paul was treating an argument among believers in Corinthians. From verse 3 to 10 Paul exposed the arguments or rasonings these believers were contending about WHY they were saying women should cover their heads. After that Paul clearly stated them that women and men IN Christ are the same under HIM...pulling down their arguments. Then he clearly made them notice that God gave women LONG hair as their natural covering FOR His glory. Please read the scriptures under the eyes of Holy Spirit. Test the spirits that are talking and discern...Do not take verses out of context like in this case. Read the entire letter and chapter...
