In the novelization of Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi reveals that he's always known about the relationship between Anakin and Padme, but chose to remain silent about it because it brought Anakin happiness. That truly shows to what extent Obi-Wan Kenobi cared about Anakin.
1:25 is probably the only time I've seen Anakin force something onto Rex that wasn't in the heat of battle, really shows how by episode 3 even to Rex he's a little aggressive
The scenes between Anakin and Ahsoka are some of my favorite because it actually shows you how wise Anakin really was despite only being in his very early 20s when the clone wars were going on. Shows you how great a Jedi master he really could’ve been had he not succumbed to the dark side.
Obiwan would be probably noticed a bit of Anakin’a relationship with Padme from this time, but Rex was really good huge help to him while avoiding to Obiwan. The scene is indicated to he’s very reliable from Anakin.
I really hope we get a what if fever vision in the new Kenobi series of what if Anakin had never turned to the dark side and we get to see a happy version of Padme and Anakin taking care of Luke and Leia and being a family
In the ROTS script, there was a deleted scene with Obi-Wan talking to Padme and revealing that he always knew about them but never said anything because he was happy for them.
God this show is art The heartbreaking feeling of knowing what will happen a few short weeks and days in universe, hearing the first and last "I love you" between animated Anakin and Padme that I can remember, and how deeply Anakin trusts Rex to keep watch and to know what's going on
Honestly, as the years have gone by and I watch watch watch and re-watch, Anakins downfall and the destruction of his relationship with Padme just gets so much more sad and sad. Ep1-6 are SUCH a heartbreaking tragedy.
In the Russian dub Obi-Wan said to Padme "It's too sad" when he realized that Anakin is father of Padme's children. When i was young i don't fully understant bigger picture of drama and tragedy of that moment but now i understand his words to Padme "I'm so sorry"and this is very sad and heartbreaking moment in the third movie.
Not really on-topic but it's kind of mind-blowing how much closer Matt Lanter's performance sounds like Hayden's in the earlier seasons than in later ones. Just interesting!
I think it’s actually really interesting that Anakin clearly confides completely into Rex about Padmè yet can’t get past little comments with Obi Wan. Maybe it’s because Clones wouldn’t judge going against the Jedi code or the fact that Obi Wan had more of a silent emotional bond with him. Really the only time Kenobi said anything to improve their relationship that wasn’t to do with his skills it was when he lied on the Mustafar rocks with his legs cut off and he called Anakin his brother
yea that’s the thing. rex and anakin were closer than anakin and obi wan by the end of the war. anakin has so much respect for rex and trusts him so much
I feel like there's a certain level of understanding. He also fell in love with Satine and still likely had lingering feelings for her after their first departure. After her death in Obi Wans arms im sure he felt a sense of lingering regret or guilt for not choosing to be open with his feelings for her and running away with her when he had the chance. Seeing Anakin with Padme and being ok with it was probably his way of not wanting that regret to be with Anakin too.
Be honest, no one at the time would've considered watching clone wars if they got a similar voice for Anakin. No one is gonna sit through 7 seasons with a voice that always sounds so depressed. Besides it shows the progress of Anakin going from a charismatic young jedi to an experienced and fatigued war vet.
There's also a cut scene in revenge of the sith prior to him asking if Anakin is the father where he basically admits to Padme that he knows and wants to help them. Hence Padme saying that to Anakin before he chokes her out.
The way Anakin bends the truth is kinda like how Obi Wan bent the truth telling Luke what happened to his father he told him in Return of the Jedi that he was right from a certain point of view
There is a line in the ROS novelization that happens between obi-wan and Padme when he talks to her after surviving order 66. He basically says he knew all along but ignored it because Padme made Anakin happy, and in his horrible life that was somthing he needed
I think he knew they were together, and Obi was waiting for Anakin to just be honest. I think his advice (rarely followed and hardly wanted) would be to leave the order and be with his family. He was willing to do the same thing for Satine? I doubt Anakin wants to hear any advice though haha.
What would Anakin do then? Qui-Gon pulled him out of slavery and brought him to become a Jedi. And a Jedi he did indeed become. What would he do if he were to leave the order? The Jedi Order is literally his life's accomplishment. Same as Padme being a Senator.
It’s like nobody but me watched Attack of the Clones when Anakin was making it very obvious and Obi-Wan was warning him to control his emotions. The Jedi knew about Qui-Gon’s and Obi-Wan’s love stories too. Well Qui-Gon’s lover died before he had a chance to love her but Yoda heard the whole conversation. Obi-Wan and Siri Tachi were in love before she died.

Obi-Wan knows this relationship is taking place but he also knows that it's a very tricky sitaution even if the Council knew. Anakin was one of the greatest General of all time. He was said to be the seperatists most valuable bounty outside of high council members like Yoda and Mace Windu. Kicking him out of the Order would cause insane Political Backlash so they likely would allow him to maintain the relationship but keep his attachment under control. When the War ends he'd be able to leave and love his life with her outside the Order and likely be welcomed as a Warhero on Naboo.
Love Rex’s “oh shit face” when obi-wan calls them out😂
In the novelization of Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi reveals that he's always known about the relationship between Anakin and Padme, but chose to remain silent about it because it brought Anakin happiness. That truly shows to what extent Obi-Wan Kenobi cared about Anakin.
Imagine if Bail Organa turned and saw Anakin and Padme kiss 😱 at the bengining of rots when palpy returns to coruscant 2:13
Maybe he already about their relationship knew
Rex really one of the boys, standing guard to ensure his boi don’t get in trouble
“I’m just not sure Fives and I would be around to see it happen”
He got half of that right
1:25 is probably the only time I've seen Anakin force something onto Rex that wasn't in the heat of battle, really shows how by episode 3 even to Rex he's a little aggressive
5:23 🤣 Love Obi Wan :)
😒
@@darthdracul8372??
And General kenobi and cody drink beer together at the bar lol
I'd like to see a Marvel's What If? style Star Wars series
@Alt Account Episode 1: What If Qui-Gon Jinn survived
In the ROTS script, there was a deleted scene with Obi-Wan talking to Padme and revealing that he always knew about them but never said anything because he was happy for them.
Me = Rex
My Brother = Anakin
God this show is art
The heartbreaking feeling of knowing what will happen a few short weeks and days in universe, hearing the first and last "I love you" between animated Anakin and Padme that I can remember, and how deeply Anakin trusts Rex to keep watch and to know what's going on
Honestly, as the years have gone by and I watch watch watch and re-watch, Anakins downfall and the destruction of his relationship with Padme just gets so much more sad and sad. Ep1-6 are SUCH a heartbreaking tragedy.
1:22 brings a smile to my face 😂 like two bros having shit to do n one tryna cake up n shit 😂😭
The little wave Obi-wan does to rex-
0:40 me explaining to my siblings how to talk to our parents. They never listen.
Rex after Obi Wan flat out said Padme’s name. 😂
Rex was just like, “ohhhh shit now what general?”
I love all you added the essential aspects of episodes relevant for the character developments
Watching Rex trying to act non cilant is one of the funniest things
Not really on-topic but it's kind of mind-blowing how much closer Matt Lanter's performance sounds like Hayden's in the earlier seasons than in later ones. Just interesting!
😂😂🤷🏻♂️ man I'm 22 and what I'm taking is that we still get a deeper voice over time or something.
Really the only time Kenobi said anything to improve their relationship that wasn’t to do with his skills it was when he lied on the Mustafar rocks with his legs cut off and he called Anakin his brother
yea that’s the thing. rex and anakin were closer than anakin and obi wan by the end of the war. anakin has so much respect for rex and trusts him so much
3:50, is it just me or is obi-wan floating
2:25
"i have missed you batman"
auto generated subtitle
I like to think Obi-Wan knew perfectly that Anakin was talking to Padme, he just wanted to see how good of a liar Rex was.
These subtitles are amazing! Anakin and padme hug… I’ve missed you Batman 😂😂😂😂
Tech: "I thought it was obvious"
Obi-Wan has been Jedi Council member but he wasn't that blind.
Something I do like about this scene is the clone wars Across The Stars soundtrack. its so good. Also this is a great edit
2:25 Turn on subtitles lol
I feel like there's a certain level of understanding. He also fell in love with Satine and still likely had lingering feelings for her after their first departure. After her death in Obi Wans arms im sure he felt a sense of lingering regret or guilt for not choosing to be open with his feelings for her and running away with her when he had the chance. Seeing Anakin with Padme and being ok with it was probably his way of not wanting that regret to be with Anakin too.
Rex being an absolute bro and covering for anakin.
Ive wanted an alternate universe where Anakin never fell to the dark side, raised/helped train Luke & Leia and have a happy life.
I will never understand how they get Obi-wan so spot on, yet Anakin was voiced by a 90's surfer.
They wanted Anakin to sound more confident and heroic. Interestingly enough, he also sounds kinda similar to Hayden Christensen's normal voice.
I liked Anakin’s voice. It’s one of my favorite things about his character in the Clone Wars series.
2:26 The caption says, "I HAVE MISSED YOU BATMAN."
Why does obi wan look so precious when he's waving to rex
1:35 Hunter in his head: "Damn, that sounded gay as heck."
I just joking don't take this seriously
Rex is adorable like a kid, clones are qualified in warfare, but are really socially awkward
Got caught in 4k
I jumped from my seat going "HE KNOWS!! HE KNOWS!! HE KNOWS!!!"
Rex’s surprised face when he sees Anakin stop. Even Rex knows that Obi Wan knows.
There's also a cut scene in revenge of the sith prior to him asking if Anakin is the father where he basically admits to Padme that he knows and wants to help them. Hence Padme saying that to Anakin before he chokes her out.
“You can at least tell Padme I said hello” is just the best thing ever 😂
That look on Padme's face when Obi-wan asked her about Anakin being the father...I always said that she knew she'd aided in his fall.
obi wan find out about anakin since episode 2 when padme fell out the gunship
The transition from the “I hope you told Padme I said hello” to “I’m so sorry” broke me
obi-wan knew full well what was going on, he just chose to look the other way.
La cara de Rex, cuando obra wan menciona a Padme, un te descubrieron !!!!
The way Anakin bends the truth is kinda like how Obi Wan bent the truth telling Luke what happened to his father he told him in Return of the Jedi that he was right from a certain point of view
Gotta give Rex and Obi Wan credit for keeping a secret.
There is a line in the ROS novelization that happens between obi-wan and Padme when he talks to her after surviving order 66.
He basically says he knew all along but ignored it because Padme made Anakin happy, and in his horrible life that was somthing he needed
Loved the edit
I think he knew they were together, and Obi was waiting for Anakin to just be honest. I think his advice (rarely followed and hardly wanted) would be to leave the order and be with his family. He was willing to do the same thing for Satine? I doubt Anakin wants to hear any advice though haha.
What would Anakin do then? Qui-Gon pulled him out of slavery and brought him to become a Jedi. And a Jedi he did indeed become. What would he do if he were to leave the order? The Jedi Order is literally his life's accomplishment. Same as Padme being a Senator.
the clone wars easily one of the greatest animated films of all time.
edit: series****
It’s like nobody but me watched Attack of the Clones when Anakin was making it very obvious and Obi-Wan was warning him to control his emotions.
The Jedi knew about Qui-Gon’s and Obi-Wan’s love stories too.
Well Qui-Gon’s lover died before he had a chance to love her but Yoda heard the whole conversation.
Obi-Wan and Siri Tachi were in love before she died.
satine? the woman obi-wan literally said he would have left the jedi order for?
Anakin and Rex have a bromance that couldn’t really be explored which is a shame
It's honestly heartbreaking to realize that a few days after that mission is when Anakin turns and everything goes to Hell
1:16 me when my homies wants to go to sleep without giving me a kiss on the cheek first.
I feel like I’m the only one who noticed Padme’s pregnant belly in the hologram. Anyone else?
Many of us to this day still hoped Anakin stayed in the High Council Chamber
I’m surprised Anakin told Rex about him and Padme before Obi Wan. Obi Wan’s his brother
Rex and Obi-Wan, are true bros.
