I would literally buy a Disney subscription if they made a live action clone wars movie with Ewan Mcgregor, Hayden Christensen, Samuel Jackson... that’s a ducking dream
The way he tells her that she's more than her legacy was really touching. Hayden's and Ariana's acting really sold me on the dynamic of their relationship. You can tell Anakin genuinely cares deeply for Ahsoka by telling her this. He really sounded like a parent 🤧
I mean, when it comes down to it, is there really that much of a difference between the relationship between parent and child and the relationship between master and apprentice in Star Wars? Look at how Dooku speaks to Obi Wan about Qui Gon in “Attack of the Clones” or how Qui Gon speaks of Obi Wan to Dooku in “Tales of the Jedi”. Or how Anakin remarks that Obi Wan is the closest thing he has to a father in “Attack of the Clones”. So is there really any difference between the two types of relationships?
"My first day as a member of the 501st... was hot. It was sandy, chaotic. Nothing at all like the simulations on Kamino. Of course, that's the way it was for all of us, wasn't it? All that breeding, all those years of training. It doesn't really prepare you for all the screaming or the blood, does it? Frankly, I'm surprised we ever made it passed the first hour, nevermind the first day."
As someone who grew up with the Prequels and the Clone Wars, this episode was phenomenal. Seeing Anakin in the Armor was what made it for me, alongside seeing a live action Rex. Seeing Hayden as Anakin again truly was a treat. I deffo felt I was watching the Anakin from Clone Wars! Still can't get over this episode!
he's finally getting the love he deserves. and I am SO SO grateful for that. I loved hayden from the start. nobody else could have played anakin like him
To think from Yoda to Dooku, Dooku to Qui-Gon, Qui-Gon to Obi-wan and Obi-wan to Anakin it was about keeping peace to the galaxy. Anakin to Ahsoka was about fighting to bring peace. And now Ahoska to Sabine is about rebuilding. This long line of master and apprentice is very intriguing to me
This is what George Lucas wanted, only he wanted a full movie about the Clone Wars. Even after the two animated series were made (both the 2003 and 2008 series) and even the animated film that takes place before the 2008 series, he still wanted it to be in live action.
The Ahsoka series has its fair share of issues (Sabine being a Jedi being the biggest one for me) but seeing these clone wars flashbacks was an absolute delight to see! I was so happy to see Rex in live action!!
One of my favorite things about Hayden is how he almost sounds like how Anakin was portrayed in the Clone Wars show, and yet just like himself. Very good continuity acting.
Yep, the one good moment in the series. When it reverted to Clone Wars for a few minutes. When it gave Ahsoka an interesting inner struggle. One that's both introduced and resolved in these scenes. Welp.
Curious but is the first battle shown suppose to be the Battle of Teth? With the purple fog and the fact Ahsoka mentions that this was one of their first missions together?
I think my favourite line is when Anakin says ‘When Obi-Wan trained me, we were keepers of the peace. Now we’re soldiers on a battlefield’. It really shows how the Jedi was slowly distorted against their original purpose. They fought for the light, but war is the opposite of light. They existed to create peace, but by the end of the Clone Wars they existed for war alone. That downfall in of itself contributed to Darth Vader.
0:33 is this the second battle of geonosis? When Anakin and Ashoka get in to the shield from the droids factory? Or when is this battle in to the clone wars?
I quite enjoyed Ariana Greenblatt's performance as young Ahsoka Tano for the Clone Wars flashbacks of the fifth episode. She nailed it flawlessly. When she had gotten the part for it, she should've also worn a costume to look like how Ahsoka had first appeared when she had been introduced for the 2008 Clone Wars film. ruclips.net/video/1thgUW4ByCg/видео.html
@@JoshuaModerwellthe outfit Ahsoka first wore has been routinely clowned on for being a bit too revealing for her age. And to be honest, I always preferred her slightly older appearance
@@enterprisethesylveon5787 I see. The outfit that Ahsoka had first worn didn't bother me at all. But still, I would've liked to see Ariana Greenblatt look like how Ahsoka had appeared in the 2008 Clone Wars film.
Don’t know if it’s just me but having Rex run into action was not the route to take, seemed rushed and the way he ran was way off 😅 kinda seemed like a hobbit runnin off . they should of done the actual seen where he’s kinda crouched down pinned by mauldalorians and the walkers assist him like it was in Clone Wars animation 🤷🏻♂️
It's cool that they remembered the clones, but honestly somehow running these clones looks clumsy, and they look kind of cheap, the armour looks plastic, in general not as cool as in the 2nd episode.
I know obviously Hayden is older now than in 2005, but why does the character of Anakin seem much older during the Clone Wars than he did in Revenge of the Sith?? I never understood that.
@@aritzsantariver Like Anakin in Revenge of the Sith is really so confused with himself, his place among the Jedi, whereas in the Clone Wars, he has his own apprentice and shows some wisdom. Like Anakin in the Clone Wars seems by character in his late 20s or early 30s…..much different than in the third film.
Anakin during RoTS is sleep-deprived, under constant assault of Palpatine's nightmares and influence, completely distrustful of the Jedi and on top of that all of his friends (Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Rex) aren't around.
he became like that after seeing dreams with Padme in ROTS, he started acting like a psychopath and was very disturbed. That's normal for such moments, he had the same visions with his mother and it was true, imagine seeing the same with the wife (+ he knows he is a jedi and the visions of the jedi are correct very often)
My thoughts: 1. Ahsoka from the Phase 1 sequence is nothing like Ahsoka from the clone wars. She wasnt bothered by having to fight, she enjoyed it and her and Anakin even made it into games of who kills more enemys. 2. Is her outfit is wrong? Anakin wears his S1 fit, but she hers from S3. 3. Why does everything look so... cheap. They all look like cosplayers, the lightsabers look like glowsticks and how they interact with enemys seems off. Like the 20 year old CGI clones look better than this. 4. So Dave Filoni basically shows that Ahsoka has been doing her uninspired boring arm crossing stare ever since TsoM? 5. Why is Rex voiced by Tem Morrison, CW Rex should be Baker. Also him running off looks weird and rushed. 6. Doing the smoke covered battle field thing twice is kinda lazy. Especially since you didnt see any of this in the actual SoM arc. 7. Hayden is insane in this. Although being way older irl, he feels like CW Anakin. Thats the only thing though that I like tbh.
i was with you until you mentioned Morrison the thing is he played as Jango in ep 2 and also Boba in the TOBF series so i think all clones would sound like him anyways after all he did play as cody in ep 3
@@ShamarJackson9276 Yeah I get that but DBB is one of the reasons why he is such a beloved character so I feel like it should have been him, especially since Rex is still young here but Tems voice sounds rather old and veteran like.
