  • Not every adventure goes as planned. I fished opening morning solo and really slacked on getting to the lake. Being so cold I took it slow and steady and good thing I was prepared because my propane heater wouldn't work. Wasn't the best day but I had a ton of fun myself.

Thanks for watching man! I appreciate it! Ya it’s from cabelas and it’s called kni-co packer wood stove. It’s about 250 and doesn’t come with a flap so I ordered one off amazon. I’ll have a camping video coming up and I’ll go through how I did the patch and explain how it’s working!

Excellent thank you. I’m going to pick a tent stove up for my Otter hub. Planning to make a stove jack out of welding blankets to replace a window. Will be nice for camping in the National Forest in the fall.

@@heyudontsaythatk4396 gotcha. Ya I think it’s awesome. It will be interesting to see how long I can sleep without getting cold when I’m camping but I’ll go try it soon and find out! I’ve herd of people doing the welding blanket thing sounds like it works pretty well!

I fished a couple of year out of Gunfilnt Pines, fished with a guy name Bob who lived up the hill. His son owned the resort I believe

Bob sr. is my grandpa. Bob jr is his son and bob jr is my dad. My parents split a few years back and now my dad lives in town and my grandpa lives in cloquet. I still help my mom out with the resort a ton and go up all the time.

There was a group of us that came up from Cloquet. Sleds along the border. One kid flipped his parents sled way back east of Gunflint lake. Broke the handle bars right off. Lucky the kid was not injured. Your grandfather had an ice house on the lake.

Interesting. Ya grandpa had a green sight fishing shack down on the east end of the lake. He also had a shack out in front of the resort for a while.

He had deer right up to his door. Had a small button buck that would come in. He pulled a button horn off the deer when it was dropping its “antlers” he was about to get both of them. You had a great uncle that was a retired Duluth fire fighter .. he was up with us as well

@@corypylkka that’s awesome yep that was spike. We also had a doe that came to my grandpas house for 9 years and she would eat out of our hands and we could pet her. Spike got to be the same way. It used to be awesome up there for deer but now there isn’t any left because of the wolves.
