That's a great surprise gift. Hopefully, you'll get it up and running. On another note have you caught my grandson's latest, it's something a bit different from him. He's doing a occasional series documenting his 009 build, his first model railway build...cheers James 🙂👍
Ive seen and left a comment and wow how incredibly talented is he dont think i could create something that detailed and amazing from scratch he has a real talent there look forward to see what he makes next but going off them his layout will be a absolute show stopper it will be amazing!! Thanks for watching😊
Great video congratulations. I thought it was the best in 1973 when I bought the Hornby Lord Westwood with ‘Exhaust Steam Sound’ ( I think they called it) . Bit of sandpaper with a Perspex sound box in the tender, no chips or electronics to go wrong. 70s high tech!🤣🤣🤣 Got back into the hobby following retirement due to long COVID and most of the locos I’ve bought from eBay are the old Hornby DC ones. I love them.
Thank you!! At the time i did have a westwood but i had to get rid as was thinning my collection a little so would love to try and get another and simple but yet it works super high techy😂 nothing wrong with ebay or dc i sometimes prefer dc as feels like you are doing more and less automated just be careful how loud you shout start shouting out choo choo or whoooommmmwowowowo for a diesel 😂😂 but seriously wonderful to hear you get back into the hobby and have many years joy both building and running your trains! Thanks for watching😊
It definitely is and grateful for every person who likes comments subscribes or even just watches a few minutes so see what on earth I’m going on about 😂 Thanks for watching😊

Beware old power packs. During the 1960's the national grid standardized to 240 volts. Before that era there where local supplies other than 240 volts now from 2006 = 230 volt (216.3 to 253 volts). When I had my 1960's TT gauge train set Class 31 + 2 GWR coaches and track it did not work after a time and there was a 'hot' smell. My father had not changed the transformer. OOps!
