Oh,damnnn, that's the thing what can be on replay for quite some time. Also, I'd say, after some time, I like Swing Macabre much more, I don't know, what actually changed my mind, but, just like it more. I'd say even, though changes are not that big(except EoW), but, it's still really interesting and fun to listen. For sure 8.6/10 for the remaster itself and 9.9/10 for tracks themselves. EoW and WoF themes in my opinion fit almost perfectly for this bosses
the only "motif" that i "used" from these were the repeated use of Pizzicato strings for worm bosses, in this case Thanatos. I did re-use a lot of progressions and basic filler melodies though (not any main ones), not doing that anymore. It wasn't "lazy" but it wasn't particularly interesting to have the same chord progressions that stay mostly in key. kinda made it a point not to connect the two too much since the mod these are now for are (rightfully) going to use CD's Exo Mech theme once it's out. (the guy's spent like 1-2 years on it so no kidding it's going to be better than whatever i spun up in a week)
@@joshuazurkon823 I don't because it's not there. I just overlayed both on piano roll with them transposed to the same key, neither are similar. Thanatos' melody is in the Phrygian mode of the scale, which isn't in those two, but even accounting for that they're not similar. Not sure what you're hearing but I'm interested.
normally i'm extremely aware of melodies I'm using, like even in this, I bet 99% of people never noticed the King Slime motif in Skeletron at exactly 17:05 played with the Trumpets.

Heck yeah
You used so many of these motifs in "Nightmarish Perfection"...
Probably without even realizing it.

@@doddged2 You don't hear it...
King slime and queen bee. Some motifs that are very similar to the Thanatos segment.

Wall of Flesh sounds very different for my liking, but it is still very good.
Ooh this is interesting 😊
