Mazroui is different from Dalot. He runs in spaces, can close control ball and create spaces to play one touch. Antony can never be Amad,he cannot beat fullbacks one v one like amad does but he surely can create space and play one touch football to create chances. Dalot is a great fullback for Amad,he can go wide, can come in,can run with the ball but his one touch passing to create space isnt great. He can cross through and overlap with a zip something which Mazroui cant. So the fullbacks do match the profile we have in right side. Even on the left side,Rashford productivity increases dramatically with Shaw inclusion while Garnacho doesnt look that bothered with whom he plays. U think its more of a player thing aswell. Casemiro also looks good when he has someone to cover him. Maino doesnt do this. So,we have added good profiles in our squad to match. Shaw and Malacia should come back and make our left back stronger. With Hojlund and maybe Yoro and Mount returning together,we will have a full squad in mud october and then we will know, how strong we are.
I know it was Barnsley, but last season we would have struggled and conceded a goal against so called lesser opponents. Remember where we are in the table.
Yes, it was "just Barnsley", no, i don't think we gonna win the lot because of this match. BUT. I could literally tell, the players HAD FUN out there on the pitch. We saw a pattern of play, we scored 7 goals, and this will bring alot of momentum into the next game. When did we controll a game at this rate last time? I can't even remember if we ever did. EVEN against a league 1 team, we wouldn't do this last season. So no, nobody can tell me this wasnt a good game, even though it was against a poor Barnsleyteam. KEEP THE ENERGY FROM THIS GAME!
Erikson is the unsung hero of the match, this game reminded me of how reliable Erikson was, during his first season in the club. He didn't need to score to make my MOTM. A MODRIC-ESQUE PERFORMANCE
Let me point out something and i hope a youtuber will see it. That first goal against Liverpool when Case give away the ball in the middle I saw back that same play in this game but you know what the difference was he made the right past to the right back. And thats why i was telling people that Liverpool pass weren't good is just bad decisions from Case, it's the same playing out from the back style
THIS! I believe we did so well in our first season because Eriksen was a key part of how we progress the ball. We need to find a Eriksen replacement in the transfer market no doubt!
@@PeachPlane What do you think of that Richard Rios kid from Columbia although he seems raw like Kobbie too but he has crazy attack and defensive attributes too.
@@jerryroyce7281 you are too clueless mate. For example, he obviously did it against Liverpool in a very tense FA game against Liverpool last season. The guy would create scoring chances because of his creativity left and right. In a game we seek to kill with counter plays you have to have Eriksen on the field. The guy knows how to effectively assist your striker, Bruno and him understand each other.
We have improved on shot on goal and shot on target since season starts which is quite interest stat as compare to previous 2 seasons, hopefully Ruud van Nistelrooy really help the team on shooting and score more goals
There is another thing to consider about this match: we used MOSTLY 2nd team players AND won 7-0. Our first team wasn’t doing that last season let alone our second team. Also, when a few more first team players came in we steamrolled them even more.
Dear TSR, great analysis, but it’s hard to ignore some of the negative aspects of our game. We still struggle to play out from the back, often looking shaky in our own third. When we press high and push the defensive line up, there are big gaps on the flanks, and we lack creativity in possession. These were issues last season, and they haven't been addressed yet.
So we have a GK with personality that stopped a penalty, the 2 best CBs in Martinez and De Ligt, best progressive RB Mazraoui, the most reliable player, Diogo, as LB. The fighting spirit of Ugarte in front defending the back line high. Then let's bring on creativity with Zirksee and Bruno. Rashi and Garna deserve a chance to repeat the performance. Ramus better be ready soon.
We can equally evaluate the improvement on our attack. To say that last year we could win matches like these with a very slim margin. We've also scored 10 goals in just two games.
Matches versus the so-called lesser teams for United were always like a banana skin. Hardly convincing performances which resulted in unconvincing wins, Newport and Coventry is another. United should built on this and shut out the media who will cry it’s only Barnsley. But it’s the point really, United have struggled before and last night was the exception. ten Hag rotated too, massively as well and it can’t be analyzed in isolation.. we should take the positives from this and build on it.
I feel like we are becoming a good squad rather than a good starting 11. The forwards pass each other to score goals, definitely it is an improvement. EtH is rotating squad to keep all of them fit. I felt bad for the British media though! Always trying to make things controversial. 😂
I thought Barnsley were very aggressive with their pressing for the first 15 minutes and were catching United out and causing underhit and mishit passes. Beating any team be it Barnsley or Liverpool, you have to put in the work, you have to be focussed and you have to have patterns of play that are straightforward to follow. Garnacho's first goal came from Rashford trying to dribble through 4 players but caused a panic which lead to the ball breaking through to Garnacho. Erikson's second goal came from quick one-touch play that did not have to be intricate if you could see where the best place to play the pass was.
Apparently the Barnsley manager was a boyhood United fan. Hence the suicidal tactics 😂 As alway great video, though I thought Ugarte was a bit off the pace in this match. Made a few clumsy fouls. Still glad he’s on board. We’re gonna be a lot harder to beat as the season goes on I think.
Can't remember tha last we control and win a game like this... Of course I am bloody happy that my beloved team played well, it's 10 goals scored and 0 conceded, hope the players carry the momentum into the next game and grab a win. I could sense there is a change happening. GGMU !!!
Mr Scarlet Report, can you do a video that break downs Utd’s build up? Am I missing something? All i see if the team is setup to play with speed and through the middle, but we always go to the wings (fullbacks) and then gets stuck or trapped when setting our own traps. They’ll always slow down n go back to the centrebacks n move sideways. Why cant the centrebacks bring the ball forward and use bounce passes to quickly transition forward
Loved watching the game, shows we are getting better because last season we never did this against lesser opposition, now we have to build up to doing it in tight spaces and against low blocks
Best game of the Season so far. I was watching the game yesterday and then Mazaroui came, what a baller he is and nobody is even talking about him. That Guy is absolutely Class 🙏❤

United seem to have got rid of some good players eg tunzabe, garner, elanga and now gomes. Am sure you're busy but I'd be interested in your insight into why please?
I agree kobe shouldn't be a starter for every game as experienced matters,if he keeps playing in the starting 11, then sooner or later he'll will start taking things for granted .

A goalkeeper is vital an united had a good stopper in goal if onana were in goal u think the tactical part of how it was go im ng would go according if onana was in goal his distributions as a goalie is different
I'll tell you why Barnsley played like that because they were influenced by the premier league and how shit we were last season, couldn't play from the back etc. So, they underestimated us in thinking they can do the same if they play a high line and high pressing game, but little did they know that we are Manchester United biggest football club in the world.
I'm not one of those "well its just Barnsley" people, but they come from League 1, not even the Championship division. I'd be much happier if they beat a top championship side 4 nil or sonething
Anthony was everywhere last night. The first goal for Marcus started with him in the left back position. Beautiful team goal.
Anthony can't dribble and cross on his own. he need an overlapping team mate to act as a decoy or passing option.
Man's playing to regain a starting berth in the team. Typifies the healthy competitions in the team. Lovely to see!

Not only that but we won by a margin of 7 goals
I expected max 3 goals
This is great improvement
Remember we finished last season with -ve GD
@@Alex-bs5sdI agree, I never expected us to score nothing more than 3 goals but 7 that's definitely something
What do you mean which opposition didn't we struggle against? You forgot that we have been beaten by Brighton and the city already.

The First Channel to see what Anthony did. Bless you
So true
positivity and hamony in the team is clear i like how our front line is revitalized, they are able to time the runs ready to assist each other score
Amazing...it was not about the 7 goal victory ...it was about the manner of the victory ,it was about the teamplay and control
Eriksen is the real game changer here. His passing and creativity is still unmatched. Kobe is not ready to be a starter every game

Eriksen can’t put this performance against high teams because he performance capacity is too low in almost all the attributes of a midfield player .

Incremental improvement. The trajectory is right. But this win is only indicative and encouraging, not conclusive. Way to go.

False 9 ( :s ), ball out wide , runs in the inner corridor, late run into the box

They have done what they should be doing in beating a team like that 7-0 since SAF we haven't done that against weaker teams
We did with Ole vs Southhamptan
Know it was just Barnsley, but it was simply FUN to watch. Was way different from the grinding victories that we’ve become accustomed to.

How should we play against teams with a crowded midfield and or low block? Which players should we use?
We Did it Against Southampton! The solution to that is wing play! Or overload wide areas with fullbacks
With Bruno on the bench.
