Love how you asked the rep about the shipping cost and his reply was "that's just how it is" lol. Either they really don't want to mess with individuals that buy one piece so they Jack the shipping up to make it worth their time or they are pricing units lower than they want to get business and trying to make it back on shipping.
Their customer service is also laughably incompetent- Go with Rogue, Rep, anybody but the “Bosco Brotherhood” - they’ll take your money, but they won’t take your calls when they mess up
I live down the road from Sorinex. They built a 3x3 half rack for my garage to my specs for less than the one you looked at. No complaints, great product and service.
Being from Iowa I have been a big fan of PowerLift- they are based out of Jefferson, Ia. The first school I worked at we built a brand new weight room and got 18 PowerLift racks, and I loved them. The current school I work at has a very crummy weight room and has Sorinex racks that are not a great model- you can't do a pull-up on them without the rack swinging side-to-side. However, I have become a big fan of Sorinex just through observations of other facilities and all the attachments and upgrades you can do to them. I'm team Sorinex now- for a strength and conditioning facility. For a home gym im not sure but Rogue seems to be leading the charge for me.
Definitely made my decision to exclude Sorinex based on shipping charges. Was going to get the Apex rack but not going to even bother now. The price is already high but shipping would just max me out...
I always wanted a sorinex rack but now I don’t I will stay with my rml F She’s been good to me Thanks for the content on sorinex B. Greetings from Los Angeles We love u on the west coast!!!
They have pretty fair shipping overall. They charge a bit more for smaller stuff which offsets the bigger items. Their 6 posts shipped to me is $130. I would pick it up as I live less than a 2 hours from Rogue HQ.
Smart business move by AB, as California is chasing businesses away. Unfortunately, San Francisco refugees are landing in Austin, TX and driving-up housing costs, etc., there. But I digress...
@@@GarageGym411 - Hopefully TX will change the refugees rather than the other way around. Although when I visit Austin, it's always seemed a little different than the rest of TX. One of the reasons I decided not to attend college there.
All comments below mentions high shipping cost but no one took the time to actually specify the estimated S/H amount. @12:19 - Spoiler: *Rack* ( $1199.00 ) // *Subtotal* ( $1545.10 ) // *Shipping* ( $1318.75 )
When I built my very first home gym back in 2015 it was the rack I was initially going to go with. These days however I think Sorinex likely isn't a good route to go for a home gym due to their higher prices and longer lead times.
With Rogue you can get a custom height and it only takes a week or so extra. I think my half rack cost about $50-60 extra cut down to fit my basement and it got to me in less than 2 weeks. I knew he was going with the Monster half rack all along.
I was thinking about the XL 6 post option. But after seeing the freight cost it's a Rogue RML690c or RM6. Depending on if I want to spend the extra couple hundred on the Monster over the Monster Light. I was pricing an Elite FTS 6 post and shipping from southern to northern Ohio was $300 so Sorinex is nothing but off base I guess.
@@BasementBrandon I am looking at the SS Yoke and the shipping is $40. And in tax and it's a $500 proposal. It keeps me from buying one. I keep looking for one second hand but probably not likely to find one. I am spoiled by $15 shipping on a bar from Rogue.
@@bmstylee Just keep checking EliteFTS. They run sales on the bar all the time. I think mine was $325 with free shipping. Also the Titan SSB V2 is a clone and would be worth getting if it's in stock.
Yeah, I would have been interested to see your thoughts on this rack, but I can't imagine you ended up going with it (freight cost alone makes it less appealing).
Yep I recently priced out a Sorinex Base Camp single - I love the rack, really wanted it, but when I priced out the same thing in Rogue Monster I found I could buy two extra bars and a few extra attachments for less than the Sorinex. Essentially the Sorinex added shipping (and extra charges for Satin Grind finish) pushed me to Rogue. Looking forward to your final decision already! (But I still think you should have gone full rack to squat in the box).
This is like one of those home buying shows, they always talk about the ones they're not picking first. We all know you went Rogue brah XD
Hah I'll address this in the Rogue video.

Hah at least he didn't try to BS me!
That freight cost is ridiculous.
agreed
@@BasementBrandon Maybe a guy could make a living picking up and delivering Sorinex equipment!

Hopefully you got to go to the garage sale, looked like some solid deals.
I love what you’ve done with the place.
I do what I can.
If he already has the rack, he didn't go with Sorinex. I'm betting Rouge.
I address this in my Rogue video!

They def build some beefy stuff (power-lift), just don't like their attachment system.
Wow, the shipping cost more than the rack. Sorinex needs put more resources to find out how to lower their shipping cost.
I think this hurts them a ton, as it also does with EliteFTS
Definitely made my decision to exclude Sorinex based on shipping charges. Was going to get the Apex rack but not going to even bother now. The price is already high but shipping would just max me out...
Yeah I think from what I heard it adds a few grand to the price potentially.
I just saw an ad where Alexa and Siri got married. Right before this video. Well thank God you're not getting demonitized. But also: wow.
what a time to be alive.
I still say he goes with Rogue, but watch him throw a curve ball at us and buy a Titan Fitness Half rack
Lol we will see soon!
I always wanted a sorinex rack but now I don’t I will stay with my rml F
She’s been good to me
Thanks for the content on sorinex B.
Greetings from Los Angeles
We love u on the west coast!!!
Yeah unless you have a real reason to upgrade I think it's more of a lateral move.
Wow that shipping cost is insane. I guess Rogue has just streamlined their operations due to volume? Can’t believe the difference.
They have pretty fair shipping overall. They charge a bit more for smaller stuff which offsets the bigger items. Their 6 posts shipped to me is $130. I would pick it up as I live less than a 2 hours from Rogue HQ.
They really have it down with shipping. It's one of the things that kills so many EliteFTS deals IMO too, not just sorinex.
A part of me really wanted you to buy the Sorinex. Maybe next time!
Never say never ;)
American Barbell (GP Industries) was in CA and recently moved to Las Vegas.
ah there you go!

Ah sorry, I thought I mentioned it in the video.
Wow....the freight cost is unacceptable....that insane ==
Def not cheap
what are your thoughts on the Sorinex Dark Horse rack? seems good for under 2k.
When I built my very first home gym back in 2015 it was the rack I was initially going to go with. These days however I think Sorinex likely isn't a good route to go for a home gym due to their higher prices and longer lead times.
Google thinks you're talking about sore necks.
lol
Still think you went with Rep. Shipping cost if this, height of Rogue, and included upgrades of Rep make the decision pretty easy.
I should have the Rogue video up today or tomorrow, I'll talk about the height!

Id just drive down and pick it up. Save myself the freight cost.
Yeah just too lazy!
Rogue! Looks like way too much trouble and expense!
We'll see, just put up the Rogue video!
1st. Thanks Brandon

There's been a few occasions where I had stuff in my EliteFTS cart but canceled after seeing the shipping.

WOW!! $1200 more now 🤦🏻♂️
Everything has gone up ☹️
Did you consider the Elite FTS rack? Like the scholastic half rack?
Didn't meet the criteria I was looking for.
7 K for a rack ????
If i can't ride it to work then no purchase !!
Lol
That exact same half rack is $800 more now. They are smoking crack
Steel prices are up for everyone

Yeah def a big turn off for me.
12:26 why didnt you black out the email and adress?
He had posted it on a FB group so assumed he didn't mind :)
I feel like you went with sorinex
His rack has already arrived, so that's not possible.
He wants it but I don’t think the freight is justifiable to him, or many.
Yeah he said he already has his rack and the date on this invoice is 5/1.
I ordered my rack about 5 weeks ago. The invoice they provided is good for 30 days, so they sent it to me a month before the date indicated :)
everybody saying its not possible but I can almost guarantee that you got the sorinex rack@@BasementBrandon
Dude you could transport a car for cheaper, If I were you I would rent a truck and pick it up yourself.
Hah prob would be cheaper!
I enjoy your videos, but you say “that said” a LOT.
I think it's more of "that being said" lol

I get it to a point, but if they money is going towards shipping, that's like throwing it away and could be better used buying more equipment.
@@BasementBrandon find free shipping around black Friday
So rouge it is.
Where is this "Rouge" everyone keeps talking about?
Rouge is the warmest color.
I'll have that video up shortly. You might be surprised.
In Sweden we have 25% VAT! How about that?:)
Yikes
"Only" 12% for food though!
and 6% for magazines and newspapers
Not worth it! Better off with Rogue. Pricing, wait time and inconvenience is ridiculous
I agree.
If you already have the rack it isn't the sorinex definitely got the rogue
You have to remember I placed my order after I sold my other rack (more than a month ago), I'm just catching up on videos!
You should start your own brand named BrandOn or BrandOne:)
lol
ROFL it's 2400 + shipping + tax now 5 years later. SCAAAAAAMMMMMERSSSS
Everything has gone up 😭
