thanks for the video! I will be there Oct 20-21, in pursuit of the CDFW Heritage Trout Program. These are a rainbow strain unique to the Eagle Lake watershed. Pretty excited about the trip, I will be in my olive Outcast Fat Cat if you are around.
Thanks for sharing your video - great time for sure! Love Eagle Lake, but it has been a few years since I've been there. Float tubing is a great way to go and I also fished from my Outcast pontoon that becomes a bit of a sail when the wind comes up. Looks like the area you fished is the area of Wildcat point. The road back there was always a bit of a challenge LOL! Thanks again for sharing.
Yep, that's exactly where I was. The rock ridges that run out into the lake were loaded with fish. Float tube was definitely the way to go. I could fish the top of the ridge that was 4' deep or fish the edges that were 10' deep. Definitely get a workout fighting the wind but well worth it.. Thanks for the view!
Mornings were in the low 30's but warmed up quick. Nice 70 degree days, but as usual wind started blowing about 10am. Lots of fish but size was down, but they made up for it with their fight. Probably will be good for fly fishing for another 3 weeks, water is warming fast.

Any tips on fishing it this time of the year
Cool video thanks for adding the location of spot fished
What did you catch them on?
Sz 10 pheasant tail stripped on a hover line.
Did you have service here? My girlfriend is worried I won’t be able to text her and I got a broken wrist but still want to fish
