Sucks to fall, especially on nothing but rocks! Beautiful Brown as your reward. Don't see a staff. I can't imagine not using a staff in those rocks, or most anywhere I wade now-a-days. I have broken, cut or bruised more things wading while fishing than any time or any where else in the past 10 years. Be safe out there. Tight lines.
I love the video and really enjoy the channel. I study how you work a stream and pick it apart for each video, as it's a pleasure to watch. I'm mostly a dry dropper angler myself, but may I ask what your leader set-up is? Working towards dialing up my Czech nymphing game, so any feedback or personal insights would be greatly appreciated.
I use a 20' leader total. 12' 9lb indicator Cortland indicator mono to a 2.5' 3 color Cortland sighter. Tippit ring at the end of sighter then anywhere fron a 3.5' to a 5' tippit. I recommend watching the Tactical Trout RUclips channel. Devon Olsen has a lot of good Euro Nymphing instruction videos.
Falling sucks but it happens. Glad you are alright. My occasional falls seem to always happen when I change direction. Like turning to get out. Glad you shared that.
I fall all the time. Balance ain't what it used to be. I quit fishing river 12 yrs ago after I started taking high blood pressure medication. The one side effect was it affected my balance.
All of what @daveschlom4033 said. Did a similar spin-n-dump on the Truckee. Wasn't the first but this one really hurt. Went home and ordered metal boot grips and a ski pole. Never go w/o them now. When in a drift boat I use a spare pair of boots as boat guides don't like metal against their floors. Glad you're safe!
Yeah ok, Thanks. Got jolted pretty good. Landed on the rocks in 4" of water. I wear a Fish Pond fishing vest with a pack on the back. Pack has a built in hard pad in it and I put a small floatation pad in it. It has saved me a couple times when landing on the rocks. I fall a lot and don't mind falling in the water but those rocks are HARD!
@@pythomp8390 WW last weekend was outstanding for dries, which I normally don't fish. My wife had a blast and caught dozens of small wild fish on an elk hair caddis. We are going to fish a section of the EW new to us this coming weekend... Rosachi on the NV side, and camping at Bighorn.
😂 glad you kept the falling part in!! I slip into the water at least once a trip!! Haha another awesome video! Thanks man!
Thanks! I fall a lot too. Don't mind if it's in the water but man those rocks are hard.
Nice work. Glad you are ok. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!

Yeah, always have my staff with me but to lazy to use it. Fall definitely my own fault!
@@pythomp8390 Yup. Love/hate with my staff. But more love than hate.
Hey other then the fall it was a good day man.Awesome brown

@@pythomp8390 Thank you! Will give it a go next Saturday.
Curious if this was recent?.......Nice work!
8 days ago, flows are dropping daily except for when it rains.

I’m glad you are ok. I fall a bunch also.
damn you got me with the PB .... whitey haha
😅
What a great day on the river. The white fish was really big. Well done with keeping the brown hooked even as you went down... Are you feeling ok?

My balance isn't what it once was either. We will be fishing the WW next weekend. If you see a blue F250 with pop-up camper, say hi!
Good luck! Water is low and fish are in the deeper seams and holes. Unfortunately won't be fishing locally next week.
