You think six times is bad xD ? Go see how many times Hasbro has reused their Bucky cap mold with their marvel legends lol. Wayyyyy more than six xD tired of it though tbh especially cause of mold degradation
Steven's Toy Reviews Yeah you're right with that. (I didn't want to insult you.) I feel like MonsterArts is going to spit out more and more figures of the same mold tho...
Gotta agree. Bandai really did cheap out on this release. Especially because this Godzilla of all designs comes with no blue beam. I also enjoy the concept of the figure but this has to be one of the most under whelming releases in the line. Not the worst release that title still belongs to the Mothra scv set in my opinion. Just the most underwhelming release.
I said this on DiegoDoom's review of this figure so I'll say it here. I know it's probs of unpopular opinion, but I truly, one day hope to see the return of the original 1994 mold to the line. Say of it what you will, but I personally feel that respect should be given where it's due. Being that it's the first figure in the line, a little tribute would be nice for it. Besides, the 1995 mold is starting to become a MAJOR eyesore for me because we see it so much. I know people like the articulation and all, but the fact that Bandai consistently keeps treating Rebirth like the definitive Heisei Godzilla in the line is just... laughable. The coloration on Junior (both for the skin and the dorsal plates.) is inaccurate when compared to the rest of the Heisei Godzilla suits. Yes, it's accurate to how he appeared in the movie, but that was only 1 SHOT. Also, the shape of the dorsal plates aren't accurate to being a generic Heisei Godzilla, either. They're accurate to the 1995 suit, yes, but not any suit proceeding it. The 1995 mold is also out of scale with a huge majority of figures in the line, like SpaceGodzilla and MechaGodzilla. In the Heisei series, Godzilla stood at 100 meters while both MG and SG stood at 120. Rebirth makes it look like he's the same size as MechaGodzilla and actually TALLER than SpaceGodzilla. Bottom line, if Bandai wants to keep using the 1995 mold as the definitive Heisei Godzilla figure for the line, that's fine, but they should also consider ACTUALLY UPDATING THE SCULPT. IT IS. NOT. ACCURATE.
If this release came with a beam, I would be much more happy with it. But unfortunately, it doesn't. You might disagree and say it's not a big deal because we don't actually see Godzilla unleashing his atomic breath in the poster. Which would seem like a reasonable explanation at first. But when you look at the previously released King Ghidorah (Special Color Ver.). You will see that it came with 3 multi colored beams. But in the poster for Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, King Ghidorah is charging up his beams. Just like Godzilla from the poster in Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla 2. So what's this figures excuse?
I like the dorsal spines and eyes. The paint job on the body is just meh. The no beam effect is just lame. I really don't understand why some figures get beam effects while others don't get any or no other accessories (like the 54, great figure but the lack of accessories, seriously?!?). This one is fine if you haven't gotten any of the other releases and since it's fairly new it's best to get it ASAP before the price goes through the roof.
Oh! Whats next?! Mabye a poster version of rodan?!?!! Which I would be okay with... Accept for the part that the wings would be all torn up.. So... Fuck...
I also want Godzilla 1954. I also plan to get MechaGodzilla 1974. Fortunately MechaGodzilla has a ways to go until release so it gives me a lot of time to save money.
Adding on to the lack of the semi-beam accessory, they didn't even bother retooling it to more closely match the poster. It's like a quick cash grab at Ohrai's expense, which feels disrespectful. Even that Eva-Godzilla collab figure turned out better than this one! If there're some positives, at least the tail articulation feels way more solid than the Birth version, and the spines/eyes look fantastic. All in all, found this figure to be very disappointing.
Idk about anyone else, But I really like and want this figure!!! Thank you for the review so now I know the articulation!!!
Never thought I’d get this figure yet here I am
Me too!
You think six times is bad xD ? Go see how many times Hasbro has reused their Bucky cap mold with their marvel legends lol. Wayyyyy more than six xD tired of it though tbh especially cause of mold degradation
But it's for a line with a lower price point.
@@vibraniumshield7383 that is so true hasbro is like a multimillion company and tamashii is like a multibillion company lol
@@ItsMeRedd_ this comment made my brain collapse onto itself and explode
This is my second S.H.M.A. figure but my first of the 1995 mold, great review!👍
Will we see the Godzilla 2004 version from Godzilla: Final Wars for the S.H. MonsterArts treatment in the distinct future?
Oh look you got your wish lol
I got this figure on Amazon and it arrives on August 7.
Where did u get that blue beam effect I know it's not from this figure
What is the green SHMA 95 godzilla called?
That S.H MonsterArts Godzilla is cool and nice👍
I really like this version lol i might pick it up
You can get your SH monster arts at BIG bad toy store ... x'D
What Godzilla is next to Eva Godzilla and ohrai noriyoshi godzilla?
I made it 63 seconds before realizing I was gonna need popcorn for this one
But is he worth the aftermarket prices? Aw hell nah.
For anyone who sees this what figure did the dark blue beam come with I have only been seeing light blue beams
Custom!
You really think six times is bad? Neca has reused their Alien Warrior mold so many times. And I mean exactly the same moldXD
+LockDown 08 Yeah but how much does a NECA figure cost compared to this?
Steven's Toy Reviews Yeah you're right with that. (I didn't want to insult you.)
I feel like MonsterArts is going to spit out more and more figures of the same mold tho...
Ayy!!! 9K!!! Great job!!!
Thank you!

However, this release was before Godzilla 2017, so... I dunno.

I need that golden rodan!!
Isn't fate funny when the teeth and eyes are not the big turn off for once?
Think somebody in their Hong-Kong factory needs to see a doctor.
Awesome review as always! Also what a fucking waste with not having a beam for a charged Godzilla. Jackass Bandai
you only need burning godzilla and the rebirth ver
Great review bro!!! I like the look but for a pricey rehash its easily skipable...
I like your videos!!
Why does he look similar to the Glitter Godzilla?

U can buy a custom blue beam that'll fit
Special and poster are two different words
WHY IS THERE NO BEAM! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you on Gemr?
Hi...
My heart really wants a spacegodzilla. But I can't afford one right now, just bought a new camera that i'm waiting for.
I also want Godzilla 1954. I also plan to get MechaGodzilla 1974. Fortunately MechaGodzilla has a ways to go until release so it gives me a lot of time to save money.
Eh, I could animate to many things. lol
What kinda ideas are you looking for?

This is also a useless repaint that does not help me get an SHMA Heisei Godzilla at all...
