- Freshwater Frogfish really exist. Not a lot is known about these fish - Antennarius biocellatus Even google searches usually turn up more information on their marine cousins. But Segrest Farms, a fish and pet wholesaler had one one display at the 2017 Global Pet Expo. John took the opportunity to get some great video of the fish and interview Dave Parks with Segrest Farms to find out how to keep it in the home aquarium and more about its life in the wild.

John Ahlbin there wasn't any problems with the advertisement at the beginning or music at the end. So it was probably a bad microphone they were using. I heard the same thing

Im getting 3 frogfishs. any tips or websites? Cant seem to find anything about them
I noticed there wasn't much about them. Sorry I don't have more options for you. Are you getting fresh water or SW frogs?
What's the species? I'm skeptical lol
Why does every info site list this as brackish instead of fresh?
Because it is brackish
this kind of fish is a really brackish water fish instead of being a freshwater one, remember it need the salt water and they will succumb if not, and it is recommended to not feeding them at a high frequency, apart from that, it is Better to feed them with salt water fish
I have two of those. My brother caught in the river.
Me too I have two freshwater froggy..
1 brown with blackish and the other is kinda orange
Hello Doris,
Where are these fish found and in what type of stream?
I came here because of a grey duck reaction video....🙃
If i owned 1 of these ide be the coolest person among my all friends.
Everything on the net about antennarius biocellatus says it's heavy brakish and not freshwater.
sure
Where can I buy one? LOVE FROGFISH always thought they were salt when I saw freshwater I'm like NO thats not real BUT IT IS I NEEEED one where can I buy one?
I'm not sure. If you have a local fish shop they likely have a relationship with Segrest Farms. I would have them order that way.
+RaptorPlayzGames RPG have your local fish store order from Segrest Farms. They most likely have a relationship with them.
I've seen an albino freshwater frog fish for over $10,000 at my lfs once. I don't think anyone bought it.
Yeah, that's a shame, I could understand maybe $1,000 but who has 10k for a fish at your LFS, lol. Hope it didn't die..
In phillipines there are many cool specie of frogfish and i also see albino
need a shot of the fish ''in situ'' - i.e. in a freshwater home environment - NOT an aquarium. Please?
Wish I had such a pic. I captured this video at an industry trade show
