    Some fun facts:
    1. Old Chang Kee has only been doing chips since 2020.
    2. The truffle chips only cost $1.
    3. Mamee Noodles that almost got disqualified, now comes in chip form. They look like pringles, have a similar texture to pringles and even come in the same kind of tube.
    4. Ollie has had Laksa before. Then, he also made the laksa-tive joke.

    Just so you know, I'm from Singapore and Old Chang Kee has a history of selling the puffs from a cart and cooked the pastries there and then and sold it from the cart before selling his product to a businessman who made it more famous and many old generations in Singapore loves the taste of the curry puffs. The shops do carry a variety of puffs and some other products that would be considered as finger foods on a stick or even if you are craving chicken wings. The chicken wings are pretty big. The items sold may be oily to some but locals here find its a comfort snack.

      If anything i just had rendang today near home (im from singapore)
      I ate it in a hawker centre (finally!!! Becuz our lockdown is over)
      With rice
      Sweating cuz of the sudden heat n rain
      In my pajamas
      In flip flops
      Staring at the hawker uncles drinking in the afternoon.
      Kids screaming for food
      Aunties chittering away

      They were making curry puffs since 1965, not chips. :) However, they have included many more types of puffs in their menu these days, even kaya puffs.

      Right! I've never had most of these! There's so many good old school snacks, off the top of my head - Pola Snack, Wang Wang, Muruku Ikan, Teddy Bear Biscuits (OMG I USED TO LOVE THESE, the amount is a total scam, though), maybe even toss in some Haw Flakes to throw them off.

    Singapore is such a great country! I had a great experience while staying over there. The food and variety of food is amazing, the views are stunning, the streets are so clean and the people are so nice and welcoming. I would love to live there one day!

    Mamee is from Malaysia and a state which called “Malacca”. This is a Brand that well known in by us. The blue packet ghost pepper flavour is the new flavour and limited which quite popular last year.

    There is an old chang kee in London. You could go there to try the curry puffs.
    Also, there is the Golden Duck Salted egg fish skin crisps. You guys have to try their whole line of crisps too. Freaking tasty~

    Hi Jolly! Thanks for trying out snacks from the country i'm proudly from. Saying good things about the foods of Singapore made me lowkey proud haha. Just some reference, old chang kee is a common takeaway food outlet which is famous for curry puffs, they also sell other reasonably priced finger food. You guys HAVE to visit singapore after the situation gets better. There are famous Hawker foods that you die die must try (some singaporean slang? tbh im not too sure).
    edit: Don't we all love the $1 truffle chips and the other flavoured chips from that brand 😌😌

    ok you guys need to visit london’s old chang kee soon! and when it’s safe to travel again, you NEED to come to singapore and eat everything!
    - legit beef rendang and other malay dishes
    - various styles of laksa
    - various styles of chicken rice including hainanese
    - singapore’s carrot cake
    - mcdonald’s mcspicy
    - fresh durian (not that old, not fresh durian you had with ollie’s dad)
    - non-instant mee goreng
    - various salted egg dishes
    - bakkwa or dendeng, singapore’s version of jerky

    If yall ever come to our small humble Singapore, make sure to go to Mc Donalds and have yourself a Mc Spicy. You will fall in love. Our Mc Spicy is just not the same as overseas, and also garlic chilli sauce, sUPERB!!! And we have many different type of curry here, due to our diverse country, with 4 main different races. :) Old Chang Kee is like a store actually, that sells snacks, like curry puff, fishballs, and many delicious mainly savory snacks!!

    Hi guys honestly today I have felt awful. I've been working really hard to achieve my long dream of being House Captain for my school, and I simply didn't get it. I worked so hard, and even though I have zero confidence I decided to fight for something I truly wanted. I've just been crying so much feeling like a failure. But finally after calming down I'm able to lie in bed at like what half 11, and I can watch something Jolly. Jolly eating crisps. There is nothing more to say but thank you for making this awful time feel a bit better.

    old chang kee is actually the original makers of curry puffs and specialise in making them. they mostly sell foods on sticks (fishballs, crabsticks) almost like a fancier version of street food. they r the ogs and only started producing the crisps recently, I'm glad you like them :)

    I was waiting for this episode to find out which are the chips worth buying🤣 I've only tried 3 types of chips out of all those and glad old chang kee made it to no.3. Ollie should really try the actual puff!
