Springs break more when your unloaded more than loaded because the shock of a sharp bump resonates more with no weight on the springs. That’s what I’ve been told anyways. Forever Truckin my man!
Looks like you installed the springs backwards, the big eye goes on the front unless your KW is different then mine. Also always have to turn shock eye around cause comes on wrong end on a Dayton spring. Sorry if I’m wrong.
Someone needs to send that information on to his Instagram or some other platform because he says often that he doesn't read these comments. Now would be the time to change it if it turns out to be wrong.
I mentioned it on the gram a few weeks ago. I did the same thing on mine put em in backwards. I felt real dumb when the alignment guy said hey who put these springs in 😂
Glad you got back to the shop safely with those broken springs! Nice job on the repair also. The new springs look like they'll do the job for you. I enjoyed watching the repair, but would also have enjoyed some close up shots of the work you were doing, and maybe even some commentary as well. Just a suggestion, of course.
Love that old KW.
You're a real character...you got a good gig going on there ....be safe and have fun 👊🤣👍😆💪☝️

Eyelet spring was the one that changed the steering wheel could see the axle was back 3-4 inches . Other one would cause a lean

Shoulda bagged it bro
It’s best not to reuse the U-bolt just cut them off and replace them and then re-tighten after 1000 miles U bolts can stretch after time.
Love your truck brother I have an 82 359 I would like you to pin stripe
