Some 25 years ago, I blew out 3 recapped tires running a load from Cleveland Ohio to Brownsville Texas during the summer heat. I told the safety man from our company that this probably happened due to Goodyear retreads being melded with a Michelin casing. I insisted on not using those ever again. And since then, we never had any more problems. Needless to say, that was a very expensive trip for the company. Three road calls from three different companies, three new or recapped tires, labor and mileage charged, and paying me hourly while waiting for each road call and repair.
Thanks AM! Some of this info is useful to us two and four-wheelers also! Question: On buses(45' or longer) and trucks on ten or more wheels - is it a hard & fast rule to keep the cold tire pressures at the maximum listed on the sidewall of its tires? Or is it ok to run 5-10psi below, provided you check them before and after each haul?
Why my steering tire Inside thread bumpy Like there two spot high and two spot down on all over the tire 75% part of tires is round like it should be but 25% of tire thread have Up down bump in Side the Edge
@@OnlyOneAGTheGreat You can’t tell the psi by hitting the tire; you can only tell if the tire is flat because it’ll shake. Need to use air pressure gauge to know psi
Thank you for making this. Just bought a school bus to make a skoolie so our family can travel the country.
Thanks for actually explaining what you’re looking for here.

If you dont mind what are the name tools your using to check the tires?
Tire tread depth gauge to check the tread.
Tire air pressure gauge to check the psi/ air in the tires.
