    Samsung is more consistent in UW and TP mode and the sorcery with the zoom is unmatched.On the other hnand Sony seems to render better the colors with the main lens and it overexpose less than in the past.Sony has a good setup but not the best but it can do more with the adjustments .I believe that without a tripod the sony zoom camera will end in softness and blur but i also believe the macro shots on xperia are better than samsung.But how is the audio jack on sony is it considerably better than one mark v or is it the same jack that is just market trick without a real use.

    Man, I love the direction Sony is heading( when it comes to pictures, not videos)! It takes better pictures than the predecessor, and even the zoom system is better, initially I thought that small 12 MP resolution will not be enough to do its job, but it does man! 🙂

      Video for Samsung, photos on the main was for Sony. Buth them both struggle with right light and colors. Sony need to after correct it+s over exposed photos, and Samsung need sometimes more light or less light. None of them impressed in photos.

      @@PeterEk31 Samsung had better HDR in pics hence they looked more balanced in the bright and dark areas of a picture. I'd like to see them compared in manual mode and without using AI.

    The main camera of the Sony is good, really good. However, its ultra-wide and tele sensors are holding it back. If I am correct Sony have been using the same sensors for their two secondary lens for many generations,. In photos those drawbacks can still be "covered up" by imagine processing, but in video they are definitely showing their limitations. I have the Xperia 1 ii and looking to upgrade to the iv, but the two secondary lens are kind of disappointing for the amount of money they are asking for. The Samsung is not perfect, and I really don't like the colour and over sharpening of the Samsung, but it still seems like you are getting more phone for the money, especially when considering other elements of the phone such as the longer software support and better screen.

  • @ParbhdeepSingh
    @ParbhdeepSingh 4 месяца назад +2

    The best way to describe this is Analog vs Digital. Sony has a higher dynamic range but distorted colors at higher distance zooms, whereas the Samsung is much clearer and sharper due to a lower exposure setting at default, and it suffers because of that in the colors it can capture. This is most clear in the brighter colors but especially in the shade in the video and the picture of the trees. I think as the cameras progress, our eyes need to relearn what the images we are seeing actually mean because historically we have never even seen handheld cameras this well made.

    I'd say samung photos are more ready to go..The balanced HDR & contrast is pretty nice even if crushed blacks indoor & slightly brightened outdoor, but then exact opposite for video. Sony better sensors more natural detailed & balanced & Sammy crushed blacks & over sharpened video.. Still not horrible but Sony is so clean video. For point and shoot Sammy easy win for photo & sony for video. If use pro mode Im sure Sony can win both categories but it depends since Sammy pro mode is decent too...so it would come do to person skills & preference of the user.
    Indoor photos sammy way more balanced. Good job underexposing the person to keep backround highlights in check..Can always easily add bit of brightness to person after. You cant bring back overexposed lost details by Sony. Same for zoom photos. Sammy contrast heavy & Sony slightly overexposed. Heavy sharpening definitely overkill on sammy overall is biggest downside.

    Samsung is more versatile, hence better for me. When it comes to video Samsung was better. When it comes to photography, it went back and forth. Outdoors with the main camera, I liked the Sony's photos better, but indoors the Samsung looked better. Portraits the Samsung was too dark on the face, while the Sony blew out the entire background and made his ears glow red so both need to be corrected. Regardless, I'll have to wait another year before I buy a new phone, because none of them have improved enough from my Samsung S22 Ultra to be worth spending that much money on, something I can use for the holidays instead. Sony needs to improve its mediocre zoom camera and wide angle and its selfie camera for me to buy them. Sony and the iPhone still have problems with lens flairs where they are worse than Samsung which does not boast of zeiss coating but still has less problems with it than Sony. Either way, Sony has improved significantly from where they were just a few years ago. But still they are too weak when it comes to the cameras other than their main one.

    • @calangel
      @calangel 4 месяца назад +10

      I just got my 1 VI a few days ago. I love the phone now.
      Short and sweet:
      With the 1 VI, it is an improvement camera wise over the 1 V for all but the absolute most experienced photographers who want full manual control over their videos. The phone has to be looked at holistically. The battery endurance, build quality, the sound of the speakers and the headphones, the clean software experience, form factor (no huge, bulging camera islands), and the very natural photography make this phone VERY unique in the current smartphone space.
      Tl;Dr
      The photos are hit and miss...to be honest the more I use it the better I am able to make the phone take great photos and video. The telemacro is amazing, as is 2x mode (way better than 1x for some reason), as is 48MP mode.
      Despite the consolidation of camera apps, it still requires you know what you're doing to get the best out of it. Samsung and others like Vivo and Xiaomi are flat out better point and shoot cameras, especially for those who are social media oriented.
      The photos on the Sony are way more naturally balanced in appearance and just like with food, most people prefer the taste of artificial things, high amounts of salt, sugar, fat, or msg. The Mark series isn't the best phone for the average person.
      I had the same experience when I first got my Nightforce NXS scope. I was like "what did I pay for? I had scopes for 1/3 the price that were as good or better in certain ways." Once I got it set up and learned all the nuances and played with it in different environments, I learned exactly what I paid $1600 for. Now, I wouldn't trade this thing for 3 copies of any of my other scopes.
