OUTSTANDING! I just purchased this beautiful compact cover stitch machine. It's easy to thread but I'm older and it takes my hands a little longer. Thanks so much!

This video is hands down the best for this machine!!! And I’ve had mine for two years and this is the first time I threaded it correctly on the first try!

Agree with other comments - clear and precise instructions - both verbal and visual. Up until now, I haven’t been able to get my machine threaded correctly and was ready to let it go. It now works as it should. Thank you.

Just like a serger the threading sequence is mission critical, and it’s the hardest part. But once one develops the muscle memory and has good eagle beak precision tweezers so much easier.Your instructions are fantastic contributed to the knowledge for this machine for users to have a more joyful experience.

Thank you for this video. I was missing thread guides on the looper and this is the first time I’ve gotten them all. The difference is amazing. No more skipped stitches!!

with a coverstitch machine, does hemming knits still require stabilizer to prevent wavy hems or does using the coverstitch eliminate that step?

At 8:18, the threads are sticking out, then the camera view changes and the threads are gone. This is what I need to know - did the threads get sucked down into the machine? Do they go down through the square cutout in the foot that the needles pass through? Where did they go!?

Where can I find thread tensioner for my juki mcs 1500.?

  • @beckyclapper7169

What type of needles do you use? I am using 2 needles (yellow and green lines) and my green thread always mis-stitches and then breaks. It works fine on 1 layer of Cotton Lycra - but when I try to do the hem - it just messes up. I confirmed I am threaded correctly.

This video is super helpful as this is my first cv machine! However I have been having issues with my machine with the thread getting stuck around the dials and then the thread breaks. I have not been able to get a solid seam on any runs. Why do they keep breaking?? I’m getting super frustrated and about to return it. I have been trying to play with this machine for 2 weeks now.

I am glad that this video is helping! A couple of troubleshooting tips if your coverstitch machine is breaking thread: 1.) When threading, make sure your presser foot is up. This is going to open the tension disks, allowing the thread to be placed properly. Also, I know it sounds funny, but try changing your needle and switch to a different serger thread. I had good luck with Maxi Lock or Madeira. I hope this helps.

It says on the machine to do blue first so which one do I do first ? Is doing purple first some hack ?

My looper thread keeps skipping stitches and is not sewing well. I just changed the needles to see if thats an issue and doesn't seem to be. I tried increasing presser foot and dial inside for purple and then changed tension on upper colors and still no change. Im at a loss....

Good explanation except to the last purple metal before the curly metal inside the machine.. that therr was a lil or short time focus to it.. kinda hard to see and understand that part

I thought it would be a machine easier to thread than the one I have. Definitely not for me eventhough I do love Jukis.

It’s a breeze to thread once you know where to go along the guide path without thinking about it. I just made a pair of athletic tights today and because of Coverstitching sections along the way, I threaded it about 4-5 times while making the tights. If you can thread a serger, you got this! It’s the best quality machine for this price point. It handles bulk fabrics like a dream!
