Gold Coast Bass fishing in a suburban creek

Been away working and doing some of my masters research down at Barrington tops and have been itching for a fish. Decided to go down to a local creek and see how its fared with the recent rains and it looks like its fired right up! Couldn't put away the surface lure they were all over it! Enjoy!

Man i tried fishing in any river \ creek /lake I saw while I was recently up there ..but no go !
Didn’t even see a fish. But got tons of Tailor on surf coast beach fishing.

I got lucky in the creek yesterday but a bit further down and got a 40cm bass

Where is the location? I’ve been searching for bass in Gold Coast for like 2 years now but can’t find them. Is there anymore locations as well you would recommend?

Clear island waters and the creeks up from it hold bass. Up the Nerang river past weddons crossing you'll catch them too as well as the upper Coomera. You can also find creeks and rivers they are stocked with online but also just keep in mind any dams that have bass etc, the flows coming from them will also hold bass ie. Nerang river from hinze dam. Hope this helps.

Highly recomend Nerang river, mate. A week ago a mate and I were pulling 33 cm - 38 cm Bass

Nice private area to catch some bass. That weed matting along the edge was holding some. Wonder how many more were under it. Nice job on the video. Tight lines from Rick & Jim
