Nice video mate! Any session you get a Jack is a good session! Live baiting is definitely still fun too in my eyes and can be more relaxing too! Still takes some skill and figuring out too. Keep up the good videos mate
All of my biggest land based gold coast jacks 60cm and over have all fallen to the trusty live bait....even after switching over from thrashing lures to relax cast arm lol...can't seem to get pass the 55cm jack bracket on lures....even got another 60cm couple weeks back on a poddy mullet lol
big hit while you were gone was a jack, pretty sure i know the spot you at, cant leave the rod haha also much better at night ( if same location im thinkin ) bridge to your right up the creek some?
I always fail miserably with lures. Live bait is always the way to go for me. But that just shows my lack of knowledge and experience. I have heard the noosa everglades can be a good place for jacks
They don't get bigger than that in that creek unfortunately, it has opened up a lot recently. remember this is a small creek and it has had sewage spills so fish for fun do not take and eat. Cheers!
Yea definitely a good population of fish in there, just none of massive size. I find that the system fishes better after the rains. Yea I’m always a catch and release fisherman anyways

Cheers mate! Yea it definetly breaks up the doughnut sessions when luring. I reckon you’ll see some more live baiting from me in the future!
Good clip mate, good weather will come!
